  1. thanks tint. renamed the file with an exe extension but it still thinks its an miz file. Show file.exe.miz
  2. how do you open a miz format. Tried winzip, WinRAR, and winamp. Winamp thinks its a midi file.
  3. Does the low survival rate really come as a surprise to anyone. With increased realism comes increased complexity, and then top it off with a jet with technology that dates back to the 60's. I think we will find that even when the F-18 comes out (assuming its on the level as the A-10c), it will be cannon fodder for the Flaming Cliffs aircraft due to the difference in complexity. Locking targets, firing up weapons, tracking systems will all be more complicated than flying in the point and shoot jets of FC3. To find a fair server you may have to wait to dogfight the trainer low-tech aircraft like the Hawk or L-39.
  4. glad to hear this. I agree the suspension right now is too stiff. If takeoffs were like this in real life I doubt there would be anyone left. I do like the idea behind this though. Keep up the good work.

  7. I voted for at minimum a version that can carry the TOW to give the US/allies an offset to the Ka-50. G is just too old and not as relevant to the environment we have today. Unless they plan to roll out a whole Vietnam environment lets not lose site of the current campaign in Georgia in the near term.
  8. Great update. Looking forward to the L-39 and front seat, back seat and will also be a new in theatre aircraft for Georgia. Also the F-18 but that will be a complex product to make with avionics more complex than the A-10C. The other jets not so much for me other than the Mig-21 which is a keeper. And not a peep about Combined Arms. That needs alot of work and I hope they don't foresake it. They need to fix the AI ground tracking desperately. Hope 2.0 will do that.
  9. did flying with that fuel tank on one wing make any performance difference. I thought it might have ripped off in high G maneuvers.
  10. please people back on topic. Koss take a chill pill, youll get it soon enough. If you dont like it dont buy future products. This arguement is moot and a waste of space. Im more interested in how this will do in MP against the FC3 planes. The point and shoot crowd will have a field day against this. Not stopping me be from buying it because I love the complexity, but will be a challenge.

  12. Agree with this assessment. I have no plans to purchase any WWII aircraft or trainer aircraft. If its an aircraft Im interested in, the delivery date makes no difference to me.

  14. Hah took your advise and gave this a shot. Yikes that was complex..... Now I have a better appreciation on how it works. 20 seconds is generous.:doh: Need a multi crew operation for that Osa.
  15. the acquisition radar is a bit aggrevating. does the OSA really need 20 seconds to obtain lock once acquired. Also tracking the elevation is difficult. How do they do it on the real system?

  19. Anyone experience a TOW missile taking a flyer. I shot at a tank about 2.5km out and the missile tracked for a short period then went ballistic at a 45 deg angle skyward. Is this a range issue?

  22. Can we still control ai aircraft in the mission. Im not seeing the command panel. What is the setup for an ai aircraft to control them as CA.
  23. same question as Syntax. I tried making a mission with no disembark point with the idea that I can drop them anywhere. With no disembark point you get an emergency disembark option and one guy gets off and tries to run back to the origin point. Also I dont understand the two different embark options. You need to have a disembark point otherwise it shows emergency and only one guy gets off. You can make the disembark radius large but dont overlap it with the embark radius. Also once they disembark they will make a b-line to the waypoint marker. Also what needs to be done is move the igla into the Infantry class so they can move and embark.
  24. Added Command Panel for tactical commander to the F7 View. Anyone have experience with this yet? Whats it all about.
