Will a printed manual be made available?
Konovalov replied to Squid_DK's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Great news that there will be a manual in the same mould as the Blackshark one. :) -
TrackIR Game Update for FC2 Available
Konovalov replied to 's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Just to clarify, will this be implemented in a patch released by ED down the road? -
Wow, awesome work. :notworthy: Hopefull the little creases can be ironed out and it can be implemented in FC2 perfectly. So this 3d modwel replaces the Mig29a and not the Mig29s variant?

FC2 - Campaign Mission #8 AAR
Konovalov replied to BeachAV8R's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Another great read along with some tasty screenshots from BeachAV8R. Rockin stuff. :punk: I also noticed the dodgy placement of a hellfire on one of the Longbows. I am guessing that is caused by a mod in the sim. Is that the case? -
FC2 - Campaign Mission #6 AAR

An enjoyable sense of immersion is the feeling that I get from reading these AAR's. -
FC2 - Campaign Mission #5 AAR

Another great AA report there BeachAV8R. Nice to see you got home without so much as a scratch. Keep up the success and you might be in for an upgrade to the charlie variant of the Hog later this year. At least that's what we mudmovers all hope. :smilewink: -
Yep that is a smart value build you have there. I'm still torn between and i5-750 based system or a higher priced i7-930 based system for my new build. What was the CPU HSF cooler that you have used on your rig out of interest? 4.2Ghz o/c would have been a stonking overclock on that i5-750.

FC2 - Campaign Mission #4 AAR
Konovalov replied to BeachAV8R's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Another great mission report. I can really see the difficulty of these missions now starting to increase. Well done although I'm not sure the boss will be happy with you trashing two Hogs in one day. :D -
FC2 - Campaign Mission #3 AAR

Another in a series of excellent after action reports. For those such as me who don't have FC2 yet they are keeping me going and make for excellent reading. Some of the screen shots are gorgeous too. Just noticed you have a fourth one out. So the story continues. :) -
Yep. They are hot, noisy and overpriced both the 480 and 470 Fermi cards. As a long time Nvidia owner I have decided that my next card will be from ATI.

Well done Coolts on an excellent first impressions review. I enjoyed the read thoroughly.

FC2 - Campaign Mission #2 AAR
Konovalov replied to BeachAV8R's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Wow, you are quick in getting these AAR's out there. Another great read. Am writing a few lessons to self here about your tactics as I am utter rubbish having spent most of the last few years sub simming with Silent Hunter 3. Had dabbled a bit in Lockon FC but with FC2 that is going to change. Could you not have used the TV to search for the 3rd and final T72? And the screenshot of the Maverick about to impact that truck reminds me of the well known photo where a laser guided bomb is just about to pass through the cabin window of a truck on a test range in the US. Think it was from the 80's. Anyway awesome work again. Looks like you are having a blast. -

Another fantastic AAR. Great read with a bit of humour thrown in. Reading this really adds to the immersion factor in this sim. Brilliant stuff. -

What a great advert this after mission report was for FC2. It was a fantastic read and gets the Lockon Flaming Cliffs 2 juices flowing. Well done. -

Gulftown i7 980x Six core + DCS
Konovalov replied to hannibal's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Seriously though I hope you are going to benchmark the hell out of it and see how high it goes. Post some screenies of your results for the mortals here who could only dream of having such a beast in their rig. :) -

Standing by is exactly what this CPU will be doing with FC2. It's going to be saying, "when are you actually going to give me any work to do?" -
Ok, I am one very happy chappy now.

Got an email this evening from Simware in Europe and they have it on their site as available 30th April 2010: http://www.simw.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dsp_product_details&pid=2354 Nothing new yet on the Fighter Collection shop for guys like me in the UK: http://www.kengray.co.uk/lockonbuy.htm We are so close now I can smell the avgas. :pilotfly:

I previously purchased the FC spiral bound manual from the fighter collection website. Will we get a FC version 2 spiral bound manual in the same format as the one I currently own as it does say in the announcent that there will be a new manual? Is it worthwhile to purchase bearing in mind that I already own v1.1 manual? PS excuse any typos as doing this from my iPhone while waiting at train station to collect my better half after a long day at the office.

Which version of Win 7 should I get for DCS:BS/A10C & FC2?
Konovalov replied to andyfoot's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and haven't looked back. XP was great but this is better.
