Something like this. Make Enemy target units ---------------------------- Tank platoon -> set as late start Zones ------- Make "target area" over the Tank platoon and "airfield" over the landing airfield. Triggers --------- Plane sees tank -> If unit "Tf-51" in zone (target area) -> set Flag 1=true Plane returns and Lands -> If unit "Tf-51" in zone (airfield) and unit "Tf-51" speed is <1 and Flag 1=True -> Activate "Tank Platoon" -- This checks that you have flown over the area and spotted the tank platoon first and that you have landed and parked before enabling the tanks. Regards, Ian.

Have a few reports of tanks / ground troops just stopping for no reason on their travels, it seems to be a bug with the general 1.5x versions of DCS. I have fixed one mission just by slightly moving a waypoint and then it worked fine, so it is either the act of re-saving the mission with a newer version of 1.5x Mission editor, or just a weird bug. Already discussed here about the only faulty mission (Push 4-1) that has been reported correctly and diagnosed as not working. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2892249&postcount=2 Their are most likely other missions with similar problems, but unless users start telling me the exact mission name or number (Name is in the mission Briefing) their having problems with I can't investigate and get it fixed. Brief can be viewed anytime whilst in mission with the "Left Alt+B keys", mission name and number in Title:. Regards, Ian.

Totally agree with this opinion, couldn't have said it better myself. Cheers, Ian

+1 for remembering all previous settings for options in the mission editor.

FPS Still locked by the options in your DCS autoexec.cfg maybe. c:\Users\Username\Saved Games\Dcs\Config\Autoexec.cfg -
Can't complete some Georgian Hammer missions
MadDog-IC replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Mission number would be in the mission briefing, such as push 1-1,1-2 or 1-3, etc. With each stage there are 2 or 3 variants of similar missions which are given out at random, so there is actually 32 missions all up but only 14 stages. -
Can't complete some Georgian Hammer missions
MadDog-IC replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It is a bug, happens in mission Push 4-1, let me know if there are any other missions with problem (Mission Numbers would be helpful). Fixed mission file here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2892249&postcount=2 Regards, Ian. -
Don't know if it is relevant, but I had a similar issue with Win 8.1 recently with my whole computer running real slow, even at the desktop, eventually found that with a recent nvidia driver update, it decided to put my monitors refresh rate from 60hz to 24hz, changed back to 60hz and all is good again. Might just pay to check all of your video driver settings are still set the same way as you like them. Regards, Ian.

A-10C Campaign: Operation Jackal
MadDog-IC replied to Quirkitized's topic in User Created Missions General
Yep, tested mission one with DCS 1.54 and it is the same old story, pathing for ai is faulty, when something is in the way he tries to take other routes not set for him and then gets lost and doesn't make it to the trigger zone, if he only followed the way points to the letter set for him, they would guide him through the obsticales correctly. Mission still works fine in old v1.216, so it is a bug introduced through out v1.5x, very common issue though out all various missions I test and try to fix (both plane and infantry pathing), so much of an issue now, it is pointless trying to get any of them going under V1.54. Seriously hoping that these core issues with dcs get fixed in the near future. Cheers, Ian -
Haven't flown yet, but intend to with a human wingman. Good missions never go unnoticed for long, I hardly fly except on weekends, so I tend to grab any promising missions and archive them for evaluation later on, then try to convince my fly buddy to give them ago with me. The lack of discussion could mean that the flying population are busy flying the missions, instead of talking about them. As always it is very much appreciated by myself and others I am sure, that you take time out of your life to entertain us with said missions. Kind regards, Ian.

Where is the beautiful Nevada Map?
MadDog-IC replied to Spudman's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
Quick mission not implemented yet, it is only alpha stage DCS -
Good to see your still at it, I was starting to wonder what happened to you. Take your time or you will burn out, there is no great urgency to get it done, except for us adoring fans waiting in the wings for you next creation. I can't speak for others here, and I don't do it often enough either, but I would like to say a bit thank you to all the mission makers out there for their efforts, you may not get much feed back about your missions, but I am sure a lot of people are enjoying them never the less. I have spend an aweful lot of my time editing old mission over the years, that no longer worked properly on later versions of DCS to their former glory so I can play them with friends. Regards, Ian.

[UH-1H] Tactical Air Assault - COOP 8
MadDog-IC replied to Eight Ball's topic in User Created Missions General
Yep is broken, I have freshened it up a little for DCSW v1.5x (new MIST,etc) to have some chance of working, but I can't fix the custom lua scripts. I think it works for only the host - so you can fly it solo, but for multiplayer with other clients connected, they will not get the F10 radio options, smoke etc. Regards, Ian. -
Can confirm this is happening in dcsw v1.54 and is an introduced bug as v1.216 doesn't have this problem. I was / am in the process of fixing the whole campaign using dcsw v1.216 as it is more stable, when all the missions are running correctly I copy over and convert them into the dcsw v1.5x format and retest all mission again to see what issues arise. Due to various issues with v1.5x at certain times, such as the mission editor and sim locking up every time you quit a mission and try to rerun it, have delayed my progress considerably. ED have recently fixed the same issue on the russian carrier, so hopefully they can get this done asap. I will list this issue in my changelog to ED for what it is worth, when I submit the whole campaign for incorporation into the auto update system. Regards, Ian.

A-10C Georgian hammer campaign issues
MadDog-IC replied to scotth6's topic in User Created Missions General
You might be onto something there with that last paragraph, as I rarely actually fly the campaigns using the campaign system I have never seen it give a score other than 0 with a result of 100 for success. May be a bug and not recording each individual kills, but it also may be working as intended. All I know is that the only scoring that has been set in each mission of that total campaign is 50 point for turning up in the mission for a few seconds and 50 points for doing the primary assignment. There are no individual points allocated or set within the seperate missions for killing a general plane, tank or any other target for that mater, unless the game engine itself does the scoring base on the debriefing screen at the end of the mission on what units you took out. Other campaigns such as the Su-25T one do have scoring for a lot of individual tanks, planes, etc. but those only always show up on the results score board. Cheers, Ian. -
Most definetly, with DCS 1.54 onwards a lot of the FC3 campaigns, A-10c campaign and Su-25T campaign got overhauled. Not a single mention of this though in the changelog:huh:. Regards, Ian.

Bugger, that did'nt fix anything, the port forwarding isn't the issue or the only issue !!! Did notice also that Server Pc only has 4gb of ram, this is below minimum spec for dcs game now, should be 8 or more. Ok new idea, last ditch attempt ;-) Go to your DCS saves directory: c:\Users\Yourusername\Saved Games\Dcs\Config\ Backup and then delete the following files: network.cfg, network.vault and serverSettings.lua from the directory Run DCS and re-do your logon details and login Run Multiplayer and setup a new server without changing any details for the moment and load a mission. Jump into the server game and get into a plane and also try to access the new server from your games computer (Is it showing in the server list) to see if has fixed anything. Try different settings for the integrity check, with it on and with it off. Quit out of mission, the server and DCS itself altogether - This will rewrite the default network config files for dcs. If this didn't fix the problem, you could put the old files back in place or just run again and configure how you want it. Go back to the drawing board and contact ED support for more ideas, I'm out. Regards, Ian. serverSettings.lua

As this is something I have never come across, with a bit of research at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Gateway_Device_Protocol It would seem the UPNP IGD is a plug and play version of Port forwarding, it does it all for you when your router/modem supports it, so if you already have the ports forwarded manually implemented in your supported router then it will most likely fail to do it as the entries are already in there. So as the other user has suggested: Solution is either to delete the manually entered port forward rules from the router and just let the UPNP do it or Leave the manually entered port forwarding rules in place and disable the UPNP component (Probably do this as the PNP stuff has always been suspect to me, so I like to do everything manually myself). Not sure what or how to remove the UPNP stuff as I have never had the issue, but I assume it is a windows network component of some sort. I had a look in my fritzbox router and found the entry that makes the UPNP work or not, I had mine off, but turned it on for a test and I got similiar dcs log entries as you have shown above. Cheers, Ian.

Can't see any real issue with those pics, except I had to use google translate to see if the ports were unrestricted, etc ;-). Battling to come up with other things to try. Here is a post of mine from a while back with my tutorial on setting up a server that helped out some others. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2272049&postcount=13 Test that port 10308 is actually open for use via the internet, using an external program that sends data from the internet to the port and reports if it could do it. Check that you router isn't set to use an ipv6 stack from your isp. Check your routers port forwarding for port 10308 is routing to the servers actual IP number as listed in windows (this is important if you have IP's on your network dynamically allocated and not static, they could change the servers address with a system reboot) Good luck with sorting it out. Cheers, Ian.

Good to see your sorted again. Cheers, Ian.

Sounds more like some external of dcs issue with either the operating system, firewall or network configurations. Has it been working fine and then just stopped working (if so had you done a DCS update in the mean time - Firewall may not be allowing the the new dcs.exe access to the internet/master server) ???? Doesn't sound like you are using IPV6 for the internet connections, should be ipv4 as dcs doesn't currently support ipv6. (Unlikely issues with network, as you can connect via IP address to the server, so the house network is obviously working OK.) You mention the server PC creating uPNP ports, not sure why (this may be totally normal) but that might be the issue. I run up my server and used resource manager to check what is going on in the network, that might help you, port 443 would be the secure connection to the ed master server for checking activations and listing my Server on the Master list, 10308 UDP and TCP are shown as being listen for and unrestricted in anyway, so others can connect to me and play fine. Apart from this general advice, can't help much more. Regards, Ian.

Firstly, I am no expert with the dcs and dxdiag logs, but it would seem the dcs crash is related to directx11 issues, and as you mentioned windows did a graphics card driver update recently and that your graphics card only meets minimum specifications with 2gb of ram. I would suspect that the update didn't install correctly or windows got it wrong. Do other high end DX11 games run ok, or not, is it just DCS ??? I would be downloading the proper driver for your GTX-650 from the manufacturer or Nvidia, uninstalling the driver you have installed now and then re-installing the freshly downloaded version. If you have an anti-virus, you may need to disable it whilst doing the driver installs. This is all I could recommend based on the limited information provided. Regards, Ian.

Check the obvious, when you run the server on the server pc, does it have the exact same settings for the server run on your game pc. Under server settings, near the servers name, do you have the "public server" tick box ticked ??? Sounds like the Server PC is set to be a private server and thus doesn't register itself with ED's master server to list it to all. Are both machines on the same internal network or accessing each other via the internet, if the later, are you port forwarding for the server port 10308 in your router to the correct internal address of the server ??? Regards, Ian.
