  1. Me to, just been awhile since I have done it, so I didn't want to speak up.
  2. Yes it does use 24 hour format, but current bug in 1.52 has the time out by a few hours or the wrong day. I saw this with a mission I ported from v1.216 to 1.52, with no changes between the missions: 1.216 was at 0600 (dawn) with sun just coming up and in the v1.52 it was still pitch black night, advanced the time on v1.52 to 0800 to get the same sunrise. Regards, Ian.
  3. Just finishing up correcting all of the deployment missions and the following issues apply to most missions. The last one Coda has a few issues: All farps missing radio frequencies, may affect ATC calls and rearm/reloading Vehicle waypoints set to on road aren't actually locked to the road Incorrect flags set - so stuff wouldn't trigger correctly Very vague and incorrect briefing notes as to who is doing what - You are only required to take out that first convoy, then are given orders to attack the houses at Target Point=215, the other convoy and SAM sights at the houses are to be taken out by the other Mi-28 Helo's (which by default die before they can). When the houses are damaged, the insurgent ibragim will try to escape in a Helicopter, you are given orders to take him out. Mission End on his destruction. Lot of targets and probably not enough choppers in flights to take out convoys, sams, iglas and kill houses. - Ka-50*3 and Mi-28*4 with reprogramming of the AI attack orders seems to be able to do mission correctly. Intrim fixed dcs v1.216 of that mission is attached Regards, Ian.
  4. I would be checking the OPTIONS > SPECIAL > KA-50 > CENTRAL POSTION TRIMMER MODE setting. I have always had mine unticked, being ticked means when you trim you have to put stick back into neutral position for a second before you get to have control again (sounds like your issue). Might be time to have a refresh read on how to trim properly, at least a couple of different ways of doing it. I wouldn't be holding trim in whilst manueveuring, that is just me.:book: Regards, Ian.
  5. Still available in DCS 1.5x at: ..\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\Devices_specs\UV_26.lua Regards, Ian.
  6. Yes, ROE will stay that way permenantly in flight unless changed by another counter command. The vipers had a counter command to ROE=Engage Designated or something like, which is why they worked. Looking at the other stuff quickly, you do a lot of unnecessary micro-management of fllights. Sead waypoints: Disable Sead -a -x or delete the first command Sead -a in waypoint 0 (will not auto attack anything now) Next waypoint have your obit command to hold them Trigger - Set radio push command to send them on Next waypoint after Orbit command - Place Search and engage or engage in zone command for the airport defences you want dead. Ai will figure it most of the time on what to kill first - dont have to specify attack every target.
  7. Totally agree, I when through my upgraded dcs v1.2x > dcs 1.5x configs and did a file by file and file contents comparison of a my working fresh 1.5x OB setup. Deleted irrelevant old v1.2x files and modified the relevant 1.5x files so they didn't have any garbage entries from v1.2x that aren't need anymore (specifically frame rate locking, and cpu core usage, Server network configs and lot of other things also). Autoexec.cfg --******************** -- ** Begin Changes ** -- options.graphics.render3D = true; -- Set this to false for a standalone Server Setup. options.graphics.maxfps = 255; -- DCS 1.2x 0=unlimited FPS, DCS 1.5x or 2.x 0=0 FPS for load screen, news screen jerky. affinity_mask = 85; -- Only use Real 4 cpu cores and not HyperThreading cores -- -- ******************* Frame rates are much improved. Regards, Ian
  8. Change at (Waypoint 1) for runway strike package aircraft ROE=Weapons hold to ROE=only Designated (funly enough if you tell them to not use weapons, they don't):music_whistling: Cheers, Ian
  9. Could be the current bug which causes me some greif with mission testing, if you have activated your radio menu with (R-Alt \ or \) whilst in the map, you will not see the radio menu in the top right of the screen, it is activated but you will not be able to get out of Map view until you hit the R-Alt \ or \ or F12 keys again to turn of the invisible radio menu. Hope they fix this soon. Regards, Ian.
  10. Yep had this issues years ago, was told along the lines in MP there is no such things as groups as far as trigger system goes, you must use UNITS, crazy I know, so it sounds like it hasn't changed.
  11. Disable the (Cap -a or ) to look like (Cap -a -x) or delete it all together in the advanced waypoint commands for the first waypoint of the aircraft in question. Add Advanced waypoint Task > Start enroute task > Search then Engage in Zone > Engage radius=17000 or alternatively, for something slightly different Add Advanced waypoint Task > Start enroute task > Search then Engage > Engage Distance=40 Place waypoints around area you wish to patrol You can use an orbit command or a switch waypoint command to make him keep going around in circles depending on you requirements Regards, Ian.
  12. Nice try, but no cigar, ;-) Don't run dcs.exe, looks like Launcher.exe (I didn't see that down on the list in file browser) does the job Thanks.
  13. That is what I tried, but with the v1.216 install if I run \bin\dcs.exe it takes me straight to a black screen of nothing with shadow play recorder icon showing and nothing else, same as just like running the multiplayer icon on dcs 1.5x. It does work with the dcsw 1.5x installs though. Maybe it needs a command line switch or command to do it properly.
  14. I have an installation of DCSW 1.216 that I wish to keep for sometime, until 1.5x - 2.0 prove themselves reliable in the mission editor, etc. I don't ever want this install to ask me to upgrade it, so how do I turn it off permanently so I don't accidently click upgrade one day ??? Yes, I also have DCSW 1.5x and OB installed and want them to upgrade as per normal. Thanks in advance for any advice Regards, Ian.
  15. I am actively working on quite a lot of the old campaigns / missions for A-10c / Ka-50 / su-25T / FC-3 DCS modules to fix issues, but it is a mammoth task for one person. The Ka-50 stuff is one of the last I am doing though. Will get it done one day. Regards, Ian.
  16. I feel your pain, have the same issue with my x52 pro, doesn't matter what op system or what driver I have used over the years it has always been overly sensitive on first use. Unfortunately I have no solution for the issue, but it would be great if it could be resolved once and for all. Regards, Ian.
  17. Log into your account on https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com Choose profile from the top right of screen - Will show all you purchase invoices. Click Details next to an invoice for the module you purchased Find Serial number on next screen - Highlight with mouse pointer till all blue, then drag and drop across to the left bottom License Check input box and click the Check button. You can now see all the activation/deactivation information for that module - You can click the states history for past activation and deactivation also. Happy new Year, Ian.
  18. Nice diagram, that will be very helpful to help my fading brain to remember ;-)
  19. My apologies on the SST profile, fixed now. I remember my first foray into the A-10c, went through the exact same growing pains to learn the hotas configuration and use (because of lack of multiple POV hats like the real A-10c warthog stick, so had to use multiple shift states, I don't like the 3 pos rotary switch), I couldn't even do the training as that samuel jackson voice over just grated on my nerves for some reason ;-). Revisited the training a few months later after looking at other training videos on youtube (big thanks to Bunyap and VFS Flying Tigers)that had better instructors and voices.:pilotfly: Your sounding much more positive now, I truly hope you get over that initial speed hump quickly and progress and enjoy the A-10c as it should be. P.S. I still struggle with the whole TMS, DMS, CMS, ChinaHat, Boat switch stuff, because I just don't fly enough to muscle memory it. Once you have the basics of how to kill stuff, Fly online with some one with Teamspeak voice comms that has good knowledge of systems and is willing to teach in laymen terms, you will learn much faster that way also. Cheers, Ian.
  20. I had the same issues initially with hotas setup, got sick of the whole dcs version change, reconfiguring all the hotas commands in game controls setup real quick. So my default is to go into each and every (joystick control page) not (Keyboard controls) with in DCS by default and do a complete clear of all button programming. Answer I use the SST Profile software that comes with the X52pro exclusively, once setup, it will work with all versions of DCS for ever, so long as they don't change a key assignment for any command. When I change aircraft I just use the clutch feature of the x52pro to choose a different dcs aircraft SST profile on the fly with out leaving the game. Here is my A-10c profile, very different from most, but suits me, it may be to your liking, and if not just change it around. I don't have a list of the key assignments, as going into SST and pressing the buttons will show you what command is assigned to which button. All said and done, you just have to do a little leg work yourself, and commit to getting it done and using it. SST Profiles placed here for use in Windows 7-8. c:\Users\Public\Documents\SmartTechnology Profiles\ Regards, Ian. DCSW A-10C_v1216.zip
  21. New mission screen has + an - at the bottom to load and remove each mission you want into a server mission *.lst. You no longer load directly from the missions directory, but have to + key and then load it into a *.lst file and save that list file. Most likely heading towards a dedicated server setup down the track. Also when saving mission, make sure you have .miz on the end of the filename as the new system doesn't automatically append it anymore. Kind of fun trying to come to grips with all the new menu icons and stuff, had us beta testers just as confused.:joystick:\ Regards, Ian.
  22. Lmao, I remember that mission with utter distain, and yes I think I smashed something also:(, even playing in CoOP mode with a friend we couldn't do it. I did the same as yurgon in the end to shorten the flight time to targets. With a lot of experience in the mission editor and looking at a wide range of the default missions, I would have to say that it is most likely faulty in some way or another. Regards, Ian.
  23. After fixing up a single player mission (F-15 Beartrap 01) and testing that it worked perfectly fine, I converted it to a Co-op multiplayer version and tried to play with a friend, noticed that the main AI SEAD Flight that we were to protect wasn't even in the air. Problem happens on soganlug AB ------------------------------------- Single Player mode: AI Sead Aircraft set to takeoff from runway - Takes off from runway as expected. Muliplayer AI Sead Aircraft set to takeoff from runway - Taxis from parking bays to the runway to take off, getting caught up on static aircraft in parking bays next to them. Attached a simple demo mission to show problem, but is only problem when played under multiplayer mode. Regards, Ian. Soganlug AB - Test start from runway_DCSW 1.52.miz
  24. If you do major hardware changes and deactivates your modules, you need to delete the registry keys in windows for all of the modules affected, past discussions and location of reg key files liste below. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115685 Registery Delete keys for modules: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Problem_with_Activation Regards, Ian.
