  1. I was revisiting those mission a couple of days ago in the editor, and looks like I might have forgotten to set a few missions so the A-10c is player and not AI. Missions involved were Push-1-3, Push-2-1, Push-4-3, Push-10-1. Set A-10c skill level from excellent to Player Set advanced waypoint commands - Immortal to OFF Set Battle commanders - Game masters to OFF Cheers, Ian.

It does have considerable issues, some of the radio commands are bugged and will not activate the convoys, etc. As stated by others, I have a corrected version on the ED website, but it was tested in V1.216 and not the new v1.5, it is also a stand alone install, so it doesn't overwrite the existing campaign. Have a look at the ED site and the details of my version, as it highlights some of the work that was done to the campaign as a whole to fix all the issues, might help you make up your own mind whether to play it or not. Not sure if this is the same issue I reported, but a temp fix for my problem was to change the heading of the carrier to bearing of 0 or 90 or 180 degrees - at these angles, both planes take off from proper blast plates and will land successfully so long as the ship remains on one of the mentioned bearings. Issues: My answer is that the scenario is totally out of wack and unrealistic and my notes say that I totally rewrote it to have better timings for the complete sead and strike assets, etc. Added extra craft to the sead flights as there is a lot of sams to be dealt with. Their is a conflict in triggers with Flag=1 being used for for both when you hit your fence in position and for the Sead Radio call, so you would get the F10 radio command on leaving the runway, then the sead would be sent in when you hit your fence in waypoint and the radio call would be removed, or you activate the radio call to send them in, before you get to the fence in waypoint. If all goes well, you may indeed see a complete fix to the F-15c Bear Trap Campaign in the FC3 series in the next patch of DCSW. Regards, Ian.

Sounds like an old problem, had a quick look at all Deployment missions and only the Mission 10 has the config folder inside it, Open the mission with a zip viewer and delete that folder, as it holds the overriding FOV setting that makes it ignore your .lua settings. Unfortunately the mission will get reset by an update later on. You could also download my full fixed version from the ED files section, search by uploader MadDog-IC. Happens a lot with missions if they have used the prepare mission option in the mission editor to set a predefined setup such as radios freq, weapon loadouts, and FOV view. Regards, Ian

In the past I have converted missions from blackshark1 and original A-10c, and there will be issues converting, but it was always doable, if your good with how the Mission Editor works in both versions, sometimes you might have to nearly rewrite the mission. Only time some wouldn't save is due to changes in the classes for aircraft and there advanced waypoint commands between the versions (this would tell you with errors on save). Never had a mission that was protected, sounds like you have permission problems with windows directory that the mission files are loaded from, try running DCSW in admin mode. Regards, Ian.

  10. Sounds like your doing it correctly for bomb release, but note: If using the Gbu12 (laser guided), are you auto lasing or manually lasing the target approx 8-12 seconds before impact. If using the Gbu38 (gps guided), you must have a spi set for them to release, once released they will follow to the coordinates recieved from the SPI.   11. Sounds like a very good find, I lost a 1.5x mission the other day after modifying it, I knew there was some circumstances in the 1.5x ME that caused corruption and or loss. It lost mist, custom lua and sound files as you describe. I have been doing all editing in v1.216 and only porting over to 1.5x when very close to final version and haven't had a single failed mission yet. First 1.5x only mission I downloaded and then edited, baaamm deleted all external program files as stated above when saved. Hope ED can nail this one quick. Can't help with log files, etc, as I will not post unless I can reproduce error consistantly. Regards, Ian.

Apart from any script code compatabilty problems, the reason for the script errors are: Current bug in DCS 1.5x is that in the ME the init field doesn't work, that is suppost to load the MIST script engine, the other scripts are calling MIST functions and it isn't loaded so it errors, hit the reset button to clear the init fields. The MIST engine has to be upgraded to version 4.0.55 of later for 1.5x also. Work around is to make a new trigger in Mission: Load Mist > Time More 1 > do_script = Mist.4.0.55.lua. Mission will now run without most script errors, at least my quick test showed the startup messages and take off messages. Tested further, other issue is that enfield 1-4 (Enfield 2 Flight) is suppose to have engine trouble and crash land, and then you pick them up, this doesn't happen as Enfield 1-4 crashes into another chopper on take off and join up from the ships. Corrected the advanced waypoint command for Enfield 1-4 to join up and follow at a safer distance 150m not 100m. I suspect the other custom scripts will have other issues due to functional changes in MIST itself. Flew mission and picked up crashed pilots and took them to Kubletti. All seem to work as expected.   14. Clearing the reg of keys is the only fix, once you get in to this dilema, you will lose an activation on each module but it is unavoidable. Cheers, Ian.

One of the A-10c missions I had fixed sometime ago under v1.216 was working fine with I think 3 or 4 GBU-10's killing each bunker, Under v1.5x the issue of Gbu-10 or Gbu-12 are no longer powerful enough to take out bunkers, I watched the AI drop more than 10 of them on one bunker/ command center and it didn't kill it. So the bunkers are harder or the bombs are doing less damage. Regards, Ian.
  16. Should report as a bug, as I can confirm also, whilst testing the Ka-50 deployment campaign files singularly with ME, some of the missions had exactly this issue, but was rather random in nature. Regards, Ian.
  17. Make sure all connectors are clean and secure. I had this problems some time back, I fixed by cleaning the ps/2 connector going into the throttle body, the whole connection is quite dodgy, but a bit of cleaning and pushing in and out of the plug several times has fixed it, also updated my win8.1 drivers and SST to v7.0.47 My Stick has had several years of use.   18. Most campaigns are based on the<50 to fail and go back a mission, 50 to stay and have to replay current mission, 50-100 advance to next mission. Most in Georgian hammer, give you 50 points as soon as you start game, and then 50 more on completion of tasks. There are some problems with current georgian hammer campaign, I have uploaded an update on the edsite but they are for dcs v1.216, they need to be loaded and resaved under v1.5 and hopefully fully work still (would be a standalone 2nd version though). Have used the Su-25t and others with SAB-100 Candle Bombs, they work fine as described, I ust to use 3000-3500m for height in 1.216, but in Dcs 1.5 they have to be dropped at approx 2500-2000 for them to light properly. I just use normal bombing commands, but instead of describing it I will attach a couple of mission with it working in, these are from the Ka-50 Deployment Campaign I have just finished fixing.   20. Haven't looked at it in depth, but believe it is a multi-stage campaign, doesn't just start at mission1 and go cronologically. It will vary this next mission based on the out come (your score) of the mission, so it could have multiple different branches it could take. ie: Mission 2 could go back to mission 1 if you score 0-49, stay at mission 2 if you score 50, it could go to mission 2-1 if you score 50-60, Mission 2-2 if you score 60-90, Mission 3 if your score 100.   21. Seems to be a bug, done a quick test with a mission that had Bomb in zone used, works fine with Mk-82s Mk-82Air, Sab-100 Candle Bombs but not Gbu-12s. Possibly problem with others but haven't test. Regards, Ian.
  22. If your running dcs 1.5x then you will have slight issues, haven't retested under that version. As stated by others, the loadout is a known issue, not caused by my fixes but the new DCS. Try some of the suggestions of others. Only way I can fix it is to load mission into mission editor and put missiles back into correct pylon slots, which will be a black box when it is broken. Have now re-written mission and tested and fixed all issues under 1.5x. Regards, Ian.
  23. I seem to be having the same issue. Setting up hotas command on Saitek SST for x52 pro and the Fw-190 dora, whilst sitting on runway. Tested sitting on ground: Flaps, wheels up and down, guns, bomb release, canopy open / close, Eject and all axis are all working as they should be. Get into the air: Retract under carriage - no go, used G key on keyboard to retract gear, had to change hotas commands to G instead of the seperate Gear retract and extend key commands, they did nothing. Using guns with unlimited ammo - Seem to either jam or just stop firing at random Dropping bombs - drop first 4 ok, then when it reloads can't release any of them. Can't open canopy, then at random it will open, but using the close canopy command, tried to eject with the macro script I have always used in all aircraft and didn't do anything, pressed multiple times, finally did it after 4-6 trys. Really frustrating problem, I have no ideas what is happening also. Regards, Ian.

Can't really help with your current problem, but some time ago I uploaded a corrected dcs v1.216 of the complete A-10c Georgian Hammer campaign (not CA one) that I know works fine, because I tested and re-wrote them. You will have to convert them to the new 1.5x mission format, and that may introduce some problems for the mission success, but I can tell you that they will work far better than what comes with the game by default.
