We were not asked to create it. We presented the project during the split, to Mr Grey and Dr Tishin. They expressed their enthusiasm over it during a video conference. A few weeks later a contract was signed. Wayyyy before the Yak-52 announcement.

2.5.1.16978 Update 1 - 2018 May 11 Updated instrument needles to stop Z buffering. Fixed ADI tape’s animation and 3D mesh. Adjusted phosphor green glow to be brighter. Fixed cockpit lights. Chinese cockpit added by uboats. HUD glass changed for visual enjoyment. Canopy glass alpha channel adjusted. Fixed material attributes on RN-24/28 bombs and APU-13MT rail. Fixed 3D mesh vertical tail top section to be more curved. Added PLAAF white livery by uboats. Added Chinese localization for missions.

Christen Eagle II A lot of progress is being made on our Christen Eagle II. First and foremost is that we are ready for ED’s initial test and review. Our plan is to hand it in by May 9th. Pilot animations took longer than expected and we’ve finally nailed it. We do have issues with damage modeling though. For some unknown reason the player mode damage will not work, but the AI can be damaged. We are working with ED during their free time to rectify the issue. We’ve recruited extra help in the art department to work on the liveries. The gentleman also did the liveries for IRIS Simulation’s Christen Eagle. So what’s left? Well, mostly the art department. Damage modeling RoughMet and Normal Map textures finalization New pilot textures Flight manual illustrations Promotional video MiG-21Bis Our Fishbed’s FM and systems will be investigated more after our Eagle is in testing. We are very aware of issues surrounding the AoA and ASP. We will try to squash the beef as best as we can. Regarding the damage modeling, we suspect the same issue is going on as in the Christen Eagle. The Fishbed’s cockpit has also seen some love by fixing all the lights. The green phosphor glow has also been increased and will make seeing switches, knobs and labels easier in pure darkness. Every single instrument needle has been changed from plane textures to 2D shapes that do not utilize alpha channel opacity. Clipping will not occur anymore. We also managed to squeeze in an update to the HUD texture. It makes seeing the ASP Grid easier and is more visually appealing in sunny conditions. These current fixes are being tested now and will be uploaded to ED’s servers once approved. There is no date on the next patch release though.

Was the MiG hit by another enemy? We all know about the wunderluft AI, but I went ahead and fixed the texture issue. Visibility args on LOD4 check out and are ok.

Gent's I can only answer for the artwork, I can't answer for the programmers. I don't/can't control their department. Work on the MiG21 cockpit is close to starting. 2.5.0.xxxx - 2018 January 31 Adjusted external textures for deferred shading. Stabilized radar on horizon. Control panel for Nukes now shows. Nukes’ 3D model now shows on aircraft. SPS Box now shows.

Gents, Here are 2 test files to check for FPS drop. Simply backup the originals and drop these into the Shapes folder. 2 x 8K textures are removed from the model. MiG-21Bis_FPS-Drop-Test-Files.rar -
