Think I will start off with some American aircraft which are normally seen over Nevada. Huey, because good for sightseeing. A-10, so I can go higher and see the big picture F-15, so that I can buzz the casinos MiG-21bis, so that I can pretend to be a local civilian owner of a beautiful MiG-21.

I was a big believer in Windows 7, and refused to go Windows 8 on my main PC. After becoming an Windows insider and testing early versions of Windows 10 on my laptop I realized that it's time to move on. I just waited a month or two until it was stable enough (which was still two months before it's official release) and then I installed Windows 10 on all my PC's. I don't regret it. As for Home vs. Proffesional, I'm not sure what to answer. It depends on your needs. I have never used Home version and I'm not quite sure what the limitations are.

The fact that they are calling it an alpha, and not a beta, should probably give some kind of indication of what state it is in :)

So the obvious thing is the missing tail. I guess that's plausible if weather conditions are decent. With that said though, the AI does not use advanced flight model, so what works for the AI and what works for the player is not always the same. There's a lot of fuzz surrounding something called Nevada right now. I think LN might choose to announce when there's less noise to drown out their voices. After Nevada, I think the noise will be about Mirage 2000C. After that perhaps LN will be able to speak to us :)

MiG-21 manoeuvrability is closer to Mirage III. They are both stable aircraft and lack the agility of modern relaxed stability aircraft such as Mirage 2000.

The FC3 fighters are fun for blowing off some steam from time to time, escpecially in multiplayer, but I wouldn't mind if they suddenly turned into fully fledged DCS modules :)

I guess in the M2000C we will have to ability to slave the IR missile seekers to targets locked with the radar? That alone gives a huge advantage over the MiG-21bis which has fixed seekers and has to manoeuvre the aircraft to point the seeker in the right direction.

They are the same GPU with just a slight over-clock and twice the memory. Glad I bought the 290X before the 390X came out because it performs basically the same. 4gb of memory is more than enough so the extra memory on the 390X just goes to waste. Over-clocking is something I do manually anyway, so the factory clock speed doesn't really matter to me. The weird thing was that the 390X became more than 100USD more expensive than the 290X, which makes me really happy having bought one before they disappeared from the market. PC components are supposed to become more affordable as technology evolves, but for the last few years this has come to a stand-still in the graphics cards market. The slight improvement that you see in 390X reviews are thanks to the slight over-clock and mostly DRIVER OPTIMIZATIONS, something which also benefits the 290X directly but it doesn't show up in the reviews because they use numbers from old reviews with old drivers, so it looks like there's a difference in performance when it really isn't in reality. I like that they ditched the reference coolers for the 300 series though. Not that I would ever have bought one of those myself, but those things were giving AMD a really bad reputation.

You can use the key you got from VEAO website to make it show up in your ED store account, which is very useful because then you can let the module manager install it for you. Just go to the ED store and your profile. You should be able to input the key somewhere there.

Reading between the lines, it seems to me that stable will get 1.5 without Nevada and open beta becomes 2.0 with new map.
