  1. It should be on the screenshot in post #3, just under "select location", but in your case, it's not there. I don't know why. Perhaps you forgot to log in to you account?
  2. Only Nevada for now. Caucasus is not updated to be compatible with the new terrain engine yet.
  3. Which fighter is currently the most environmentally friendly? That seems to be important, doesn't it? What's the CO2 emission levels of those Hornets?
  4. You can change back to english in the settings.
  5. Windows got it wrong, which can happen especially if you don't have the correct driver installed. The card does indeed support DX11, but it is getting old. I wouldn't want to be stuck with one of those for DCS 2.0.
  6. Only on some systems. I think it's caused by a bug, and it's probably the reason they are still disabled.
  7. Don't. Sometimes it is possible to get two similar but slightly different cards to work with each other, such as a 670 and a 680, but the slower card will drag down the faster card and even if the frame-rate increases, it will feel like it's stuttering because every other frame will be rendered faster or slower than the other so the timing creates what is knows as micro-stuttering. Do yourself a favor and go out and buy a new card and use that as a single card, while trying to sell your old card second hand. You will thank me later. Going the SLI route is just begging for problems.
  8. Everyone keeps saying "we" so I'm going to assume y'all Canadians :) And what happened to the "no politics" policy of these forums? Sorry for off topic. Just though it was an interesting observation. That is a very catchy nickname :)
  9. IIRC, someone already said that you can't override it in the M2000, and doing so would probably be suicide.
  10. It sure is. A few years back, Swedish Gripen pilots exercised with Norwegian F-16 pilots. Afterwards, one of the F-16 pilots commented that they were not used to going up against such a small aircraft and that it was difficult to spot due to the small size. The interesting thing to note is that the F-16 is pretty small to begin with. I think a Gripen pilot will mostly be able to spot an F-16 before the F-16 can spot him, no matter if it's a radar contact or visual.
  11. No you don't. It will only ruin your experience and waste your money. See this thread and you will know why: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=153737&highlight=sli
  12. Yes, I have two monitors hooked up to my 290X and it's very straight forward. Never had any problems related to that. Primary monitor is a 2560x1440x144hz freesync capable monitor hooked up with DP, and the secondary is an old 1680x1050x60hz monitor hooked up with DVI.
  13. No. Sounds like a simple low pass filter to me. I do spatialize the audio for my stereo headphones though. I set my audio driver to 8 channels so that DCS recognizes it as a surround system, then I enable Dolby Headphone which down-mixes everything to stereo while retaining the spatialization using HRTF. It works pretty well, but it's not true 3d spatialization becouse surround systems create a 2d plane, not 3d. A normal surround system lacks up and down spatialization.
  14. The 390X is about 10% faster than the 390 on average. Is it worth it? That's up to you. I would choose the Sapphire if I was buying right now. They seem to be the most premium AMD specific vendor, sort of like EVGA is the most premium Nvidia vendor. You won't need to run at half refresh with a card that fast I think, but there is a similar feature in the AMD driver. It's a frame-rate limiter that you can set to anything from 30fps to 200fps in 1fps intervals. That gives you more flexibility than the Nvidia method which is locked to one setting if I understand correctly.
  15. It's awful until you realize they don't have enough pressure against the GPU. Many of them suffer from this defect. I had to put some tiny washers under the screws on mine to be able to tighten it. After that, it performs great. I have a 290X by the way, but it could be the same problem on the 300-series.
  16. That's a great card you found there, with a very silent and effective cooler. I think the 970 will be fairly future proof unless you plan on getting a 4K/UHD monitor because it doesn't have the power or the memory needed to push that many pixels. It's kinda hard to say where we are going to be in the future because there's a lot happening right now. There's 4K/UHD and there's VR. We are also getting close to a new generation of GPU's using smaller fabrication process, 3d transistors and high bandwidth memory. The market has been sort of passive for a year or two, but 2016 looks like a year when a lot will happen in the graphics market.
  17. Lol, can't wait to fly by with the Mirage 2000C there :)
  18. Hmmm.... Tried replicating it to get a screenshot but I don't see the HMD today. I saw it yesterday, and I think it was on a multiplayer server. Maybe the server forced some kind of setting?
  19. Speaking of sneaking things in, did anyone else notice the helmet mounted display in the F-15C?
  20. They have been working well for the last two years. After the launch of Windows 10 I would even say they have been excellent. This month's release got a completely new UI so the old .NET based Catalyst Control Center is no longer the primary means of interacting with the driver. I think most people bashing the AMD driver are those that perhaps went over to Nvidia many years ago and haven't tried AMD since, so they have no idea of it's current state.
  21. The 960 is about 20% slower than a 780. What you really want is a 970 or R9 390 if you can afford one of those. They should be approximatly 140% faster than your current card, and ~30% faster than a 960.
  22. I think all you need is a new graphics card. 4gb is the sweetspot right now. Stay away from 2gb cards. Those are, or will be obsolete very soon. Also consider the similarly priced but slightly faster R9 380. None of these cards are top of the line, but they are much faster (twice?) than what you have right now. ED recommends GeForce GTX780 or R9 290 for Nevada, but those are a bit more expensive than what you are looking at. Perhaps if you skip the RAM upgrade, which I think is unnecessary, you can afford a better graphics card?
  23. 1.5 will be obsolete once the Caucasus map is merged into 2.0, which might happen before 2.0 is released to Steam. I wouldn't worry too much.
  24. In most cases they will degrade image quality. Virtual super resolution can be used as an anti aliasing technique but then you have to run the sim at four times the resolution of your monitor which has a huge performance impact and it's simply not worth it. Use normal anti aliasing instead, which gives better performance and nicer image quality in my opinion.
  25. I guess you have two options. Turn off steam overlay, or change the keybind for the chat.
