  1. Ain't no thang. Protip for future: you can effectively reset your configs by just renaming the appropriate folder in saved games/dcs world, and the game will create a new folder with everything default upon launch.
  2. Awesome. What processor do you have? I ordered the exact same GPU today.
  3. Every time I've it there's been a LOT of z-fighting between the crater and the ground textures.
  4. The pilot in the game still only has one eye, though. That can make a difference for things like HUD elements being outside the frames, etc.
  5. I realize the nosecone can't make that kind of difference, yes, but I mean there might be other things that reset that can be of importance.
  6. I can't watch the track right now, but you should be careful to reconfigure the aircraft after rearm/refuel; some things, notably the nosecone switch but maybe more stuff, reset.
  7. Holy crap. Board party at your house?
  8. Yeah, it was mostly the rebels I was referring to. I'm sure there are people in the Iraqi army who are US trained for stuff like that, and even so, they can embed people, as you say.
  9. I wonder where you'll trade Läck in a few years when he gets good enough to export. Florida again, or are you looking to spread the wealth more?
  10. Yeah, I can't see that happening either. As an A-10 pilot I don't think I'd particularly want my attacks to be directed by someone whose training or motives I had no idea about.
  11. Good. Hope those animals enjoy it.
  12. Yep, I'd bet my firstborn that's a controller issue. Faulty bind or a broken device. You could try unplugging everything and see what happens just using the keyboard.
  13. Yeah, I remarked on that on release day. Hopefully it's fixed in the next patch.
  14. Being admin doesn't give you access to everything.
  15. Passing the threshold at 350 km/h or so is probably ideal, but going a bit faster is fine. When you're above the rwy, flare to increase drag and touch down SOFTLY. Don't idle the throttle to descend, you'll fall like a brick. Sink rate should basically be zero.
  16. Good. Things like this can only do good things for the standing of women in that country.
  17. I tried that years ago, and I thought it was too floppy. Also, now my stick is extended by a decimetre or so, so it'd be even worse. With all the springs and the extension, I actually think it's pretty damn spot on in terms of restoring force.
  18. I downloaded the image (what an unbelievably shitty way to host a pic), and he's pulling +1 g at 11 deg alpha, about 650 kIAS, in level flight according to the ADI but 1000 ft/min climb according to the VSI. Testing it myself, it does seem weird. No matter how level I fly, I can't get below 10 deg AoA. Is that how the F-15 flies? EDIT: The AoA instrument is in units, not degrees. Also, I found that apparently 12 units of alpha is fine for cruising. Unless I'm misunderstanding the point of the OP, (which would be forgiveable based on its content), there is no issue.
  19. But how will Wags and Cobra know which planes we want!?
  20. Hyvä! I bet it's nice to fly with that long stick.
  21. I feel the need...
  22. Thanks for your input. I agree, obviously, with your observation that it puts more stress on the ball joint and o-ring. I decided to put the springs back in to test how much stiffer the stick became, and it was actually quite considerable. I've always thought that those piddly little springs were completely dominated by the big one anyway, so it wouldn't make that much difference, but it does. So, I decided to leave them in.
  23. I suspect that's what's happened here. To be honest, I think they overdid it.
  24. Yep, great flare there.
  25. I guess it's possible I may be misremembering the direction, but I'm 90% sure the left wing dips for me. Maybe it depends on loadout.
