Was he using a Beta, or is that the Ai version made flyable?

Video worked fine for me just now. Please no Jolly Rodgers! Jolly Rogers never flew the Legacy. What's wrong with the Music? It is edgy like fighter pilots are, and so will evolve with time, the music that defines the the lifestyle of life on the "edge."

Sir Sith, I head your advice, and will designate the next 2 years to doing "A little Research." What programs do you advise I learn to properly implement an entire region in DCS world? I suppose learning a language is probably good as well? I'm thinking C++ and LUA? This is a serious question. I want to become a map developer for DCS. I don't care about developing the aircraft.....I fly the aircraft. I want to develop maps, missions, and stories. -Woog

I have not tried as of yet. I do recognize that there are a lot of very talented artists here, that probably would have done just that by now. So I do not argue with your depth of knowledge. There is a way though. We just have to think outside of the box, and find it! It is just some bits of electricity right? The struggle is with our own minds. The WILL to do more is a powerful tool......

Well you don't really need source files, because reality is all the source you need! lol If objects can be added to a map, then an airport can be added. It will just have to be adjusted to fit. The part that would come from E.D. is the ability to add the signals like ILS, and VOR's etc. If one gets to pondering about the demographic of DCS Users, the vast majority want realism. As real as it can possibly be. A Simulation of Reality. Reality dictates that there is more to Tactical Training then just Red Flag type missions. Shared airspace IS, and should be, a major factor in the success of this map. With that stated, I'm sure it won't be long before someone comes out with a mod to put the real names back on the buildings...... :-)

Hmm, Well this map has a lot of potential. It also has the ability to get boring really quickly. I hope for SDK tools soon after edge release, because the quality is in the details. As pilots, and general aircraft fanatics, the "missing" scenery is very much a necessary detail.

Wags just posted this 10-30-14: "We often get the question of how big the NTTR map is and the area covered. We hope this image from the mission editor will help." This map appears to extend all the way to Santa Monica, and includes North L.A./HollyWood. Their are a lot of Civilian Airports in this coverage area, not to mention a major Military one they seem to have not touched on........ Edwards AFB. Has their been any discussion of 3rd party airports like others sims have done? Freeware or Payware? -Woog

Something tells me they will not be modeled. Maybe I am wrong, that would be a happy surprise! The good news is, the world is no longer flat, so proper navigation can be done. Also maps can get much bigger than this. Personally, I don't care if they do anything with the civil airfields, as long as the community is given the tools to add them in later. They are very necessary, but not at the cost of any further map delay. ;-) Thanks Cedaway, for locating those posts, but I'm afraid they have become irrelevant. One is based on a very old Alpha version of Nevada, the other links to a Google map that is far from accurate. I spotted 3-4 missing airfields right away.

I think it might even squeak Fallon in there....

Extension kit? Hey Nu-NRG, I would be very interested in a un-assembled kit of these materials, if you could put one together? I would prefer to have some extra length on the end of the S pipe, that way I can customize the final height for my Pit. Keep me posted please . -Woog

Razbam and Crew, Please please make some cool maps. They are almost MORE important than the aircraft at this point! lol Would love a "Wings of Gold" Meridian/Whiting/Pensacola map to go along with that T-6 :-)

E.D. really likes these small maps. Assuming the Normandy map follows the same 390km x 390km formula, this should give you an overall picture of what could be included. I did not orient this pic North and South for a reason. If E.D. lines it out this way, it would include most of the important "Fighter Bases" that took part in the battle, but also the Cities of london and Paris..... just a thought. -Woog

Skin Help Too? Hello Friends, Like others before, I have tried to get new skins to show to no avail. I have them extracted, and copied to Bazar/Liveries/..........then their repective airframe. In the mission editor, the new skins do not show in the list? Please help a Noob. Then you can shoot me down later! :smilewink: -Woog P.S. It apears to me the textures would actually go into the ...../textures/F-15C folder (Example), then a data.lua file needs to be created to call the right texture files. The Data.lua file is what needs to be in the .../Bazar/liveries folder. Where do I get the Data.Lua file from? -Woog

Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?
Woogey replied to Chizh's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Yes Please! (GTX660) -
Can we have different types of maps like say: Training Maps, War Zones, or Free Flight in all with no threats?

Hello Friends, I am having a hard time grasping the UI of DCS-W. The function just seems a little cumbersome. Is there a way to just pick a plane, pic a location, and free flight? I think joining an online squadron might help further my understanding. Is there a "Master List" somewhere of Virtual Squadron's and or Training Aids? I have spent a lot of money to have Hardware that will keep up with every one. (I7/Nvidia PC, TM WartHog, Combat Rudder Pedals, TM MFD's, etc) Now it's time to invest in my brain....
-
The question is.... The question is......Why would you not want to add more detail to the map? Number one, that has now become a landmark, easily referenced from the air. Number two, the original source files for the needed 3d buildings will work for all renderers, textures only need to be changed. the Scenery SDK is already available.

The problem with Helios, is 1) Gadroc hasn't done anything with it for a while. 2) it doesn't support all the aircraft. If I can set it so a Hud only view is on my big monitor, then a front panel view only on the 23" touchscreen I would have it made! Snap views eh? I'll check it out thank you. -Woog

Hello Gentlemen (And Lady) Hey I was wondering if there is a way to display a Locked view of the Instrument panel from a level, dead center position? I would like to use a touch screen to replicate many different aircraft in one "Multi-use" pit. I do not like the odd angles that the 3D pit gives when looking down into it. I do like the shadows and textures of the 3d pit however. How wold one go about moving the camera position down into the cockpit, to look at all the instruments in a more direct, Head on view. This view should be standard with all the aircraft. Then once I am in that position, how do I save it so that I may hit a "HotKey" and go directly to that view? Any Help would be greatly appreciated! -Woog

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Woogey replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Nice shot, Flaps aren't working correctly yet though? -
Within the current game engine, could a multi-engine, cargo/troop carrier type aircraft even be modelled as a primary module? What makes it so difficult to share a single airframe over the net in DCS? C-130 has surely got to be at the top of somebodies development list. Captain Sim where you at?

I missed the price somewhere along the line? Where are you shipping from Deadman?

Hi Iinden, My name is Woogey, pleased to meet you. I see that your panel run is closed. That does not necesarily mean that all panels are accounted for. Do you have anything left? PLEASE PM ME! Or alternatively, you can e-mail me at P.Woog1@Gmail.com Thanks for your time sir, - Preston "Woogey" Martin

The great thing about the Eagle, Hornet, and the Harrier, is they all use the same stick grip! (With very minor mods/differences)
