Detailed systems specs? Detailed logs from DCS/Logs and/or windows eventviewer Reinstalled C++ X64 + DirectX? Unplugged hardware you dont need and shut as much programs down as possible that arent needed fo the OS? Even the damn keyboard displaysoftware if you have it. Antivirus can be painfull in the behind. Turned off windows autoupdater and scedualed defragmentation as well as systemrestore? Cleaned out temp folders that windows like to polute without deleting? Auto settings mean sjit happens behind your back without noticing or knowing.
  2. I think they still have it on the agenda, but theres other stuff on the list more important most likely. But insiders said that alot already in many words, the only method left is to bring the news like Hanibal Lector would do.
  3. Yeah, saw them too. A bunch of civilians to become victimised.
  4. Well, once you deleted the partition and selected the empty space for reinstalling windows its only personal setup information like serial and username. When youre the only user and nothing realy important is on the machine setting up a password for the administrator useraccount is silly. When you leave the password section blanco the system will always boot right up without asking for login info. The installation will reboot a few times, you can leave the DVD in, but you dont have to start the DVD anymore when the installation is started. Youll know when it is done. Then you establish the internetconnection if it wasnt already and run windows update untill theres no critical updates left. When windows is fully updated you can install the GFX card driver. Maybe the sound and networkchip might have a more recent driver from the manufacturer, but in most cases windows update has whats needed to get those running at least properly. USB 3 might need a special driver as well as maybe the wireless networkcard. You can always connect with a LAN RJ45 cable to the net and USB 1 and 2 will run on standard windows protocols. The GFX driver is recommended that you download that directly from the chip manufacturer. According the link you gave it has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680. You can get the lastest WHQL (stable) driver from here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx BUT, search for a label on the computer. On the back, bottom, behind a flipthingy. it must be there somewhere like on a toasteroven. Its realy important that you know the type correctly instead of it looks like these red knight rider lights. :D
  5. When you start up the system from the DVD and start the installation you get an upgrade option and a custom install option. Go for the custom install. Inthere you can wipe the selected partition through the advanced driveoptions. When you have a laptop or another computer with an internet connection and TS3 installed you could log into the TS server here to guide you with the initial steps.
  6. Thats right, you cant just overwrite this OS while its running. Reinstalling windows from x32 to x64 means wipe the whole partition the OS is on and install it from scratch by starting the machine from the DVD, not the internal HD. You might want to get some close help before you loose precious emails, videos, pictures, login info, browsersettings and what not. The only thing what you will see returning is what you save before wiping and manualy put back on it.
  7. Ok cool, now explain it to us....
  8. It fly's when it fly's
  9. When you go START -> right-click Computer -> Propertys you can see what version of Windows is installed, CPU and amount/type memory. But, yes, when thats the machine you have you did a step back with X32.
  10. The HP detailed product specs should at least provide enough to start off from.
  11. Im not trying to offend or attack you in any way. Lets just say theres a language barrier, all fine by me. (36 years of the english muppetshow seems to have failed in educationterms) the name i mentioned in the ps. is an old gamefriend that uses the same avatar and talks a little bit like you. Goodluck with the button. ps. stop telling us the same milkshake black shark 1-2 story when its working, it confuses the hell out of us europeans and russians!!
  12. DCS is a very delicate beautyfull lady indeed. Trying to make a detailed list of what hardware you have can help in these situations. Brand and type. Theres even bios and CPU settings of older hardware that could make your life miserable atm. What also happens is that updated drivers provided by lets say Dell or mainboard manufacturers arent provided anymore, but updates are still given out by chipmanufacturers that have their products build in the mainboard. With older hardware you can get results by creating your own better and newer driver package.
  13. If it realy has to do with anything other people experience i dont know, but this is how i maintain stuff: - Keep Windows updated - Keep drivers fresh and new, reinstallation of drivers when updates take some time - Clear files in C:/Users/<windows username>/Saved Games/DCS/Logs - Clear files in C:/Users/<windows username>/Saved Games/DCS/Tracks/Multiplayer - Clear files in C:/Users/<windows username>/Appdata/Local/temp (skip files in use) - Clear files in C:/Windows/Temp - Clear files in C:/Windows/Prefetch - Run Windows Diskcleanup, optionaly clear shadowcopys under advanced - Turn off scedualed Defragmentation and do that manualy when needed - Turn off Windows update and do that manualy when needed - Turn off System Restore - Turn off Allow remote assistance - Turn off antivirus - End processes manualy that arent needed in the Windows Taskmanager - Unplug any hardware that isnt needed for DCS play When problems apear the first thing i do is reinstall C++ 2010 X64 and DirectX 9c that come with DCS in the DCS World/distr folder and turn DCS performance settings a couple of notches down. When i have a crash at the moment it is because i press the ladder button in the A-10C and make my own server hardwarecrash for the fun of it or someone else is foolin around with the same or something unknown. I also think that those officialy hosted older versions of all sorts of mods being used that plug into critical DCS systems dont help either. Everything activily maintained should have less problems. All this doesnt mean that you couldnt have somesort of problem ofcourse. One thing i do know is that for every problem there should be a solution somewhere. Human failure usualy keeps you from reaching the solution when the problem isnt unsupported older hardware. This should at least keep some people from crashing for sure.
  14. You can bring back activations by pressing the multiplayerbutton in singleplayermode and holding left-shift. Keep deactivating untill the activations are back. Connect button BS: Uncheck 'disable earo interface'? Youre still mixing up things with the standalone black shark and the dcs world module of black shark. Either u use the upgraded black shark 2 module version in DCS world when you also have BS 1111 installed or just the module of black shark without the BS standalone to make it work in world. I dont think you need both, i do think you need the same serial. ps. does the name Blackmail ring a bell?
  15. Its not a bad idea at all. deleting the setting folder in 'saved games' before the first run might help incase of corrupt settings too. When a reinstallation gives the same result an attempt at settng DCS settings as low as possible might get something going. When that works you can use higher settings to see hwere it goes BLARP. I dont mind helping out a bit, my government wants me to be a progresive european and im bored as hell atm. + postcount = win :pain:
  16. So thats why theres no1 on my server :p .....
  17. Is TARS clientside only or does something need to change on the DCS server and TS3 server too to make it work? Seems like an awesome official realism feature to me.
  18. How much memory (RAM) is in your system? Is it DDR2 or DDR3? How much memory has your GFX card? RAM + GFX memory can give trouble too when it is more than roughly 3200Mb. You can try things out like using only 1 memory dimm when bios settings are correct. Perhaps an official ED dude has something that could make it work still, dont ungrab yur ballz yet!
  19. To be certain, Both C++ 2010 X32 and X64 installed here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=997667&postcount=8 DirectX 9c from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 - Windows fully updated, critical drivers of GFX and sound hardware updated to the latest stable version. - Manualy delete files in the folders: C:\Users\<windows username>\AppData\Local\temp (most likely 1 file wont delete because its in use, skip the files that wont delete) C:\Windows\Temp C:\Windows\Prefetch - Run windows Disk Cleanup, clear unused shadow copys under the advanced tab. It possible the adv. tab doesnt exist in the Win7 x32 home edition youre using. Skip that part. - Additionaly you can also do a Harddrive integrity check in My computer -> rightclick C drive -> propertys -> tools -> error-checking - Restart computer and unplug as much hardware as possible, turn off antivirus and firewall, check under Ctrl-Alt-Del -> Task manager -> processes if you recognise more programs that are not relevant for running the OS. - Run DCS World as administrator through the link provided in START -> All Programs -> Eagle Dynamics A C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION is a standard windows hardwarecrashmessage caused by a program of which the program doesnt need to be the cause. That log also talks about DirextX acting weird as well as dcs.exe and something 32bit-ish giving you the middle finger. it can go from too old hardware/wrong hardware settings in bios through misbehaving drivers and hardware to a corrupt DCS installation.
  20. You can at least find the DCS error logs in the folder: START -> My Computer -> C:\Users\<windows username>\Saved Games\DCS\Logs Windows 7 has an 'eventviewer'. You can start up the interface by typing 'eventviewer' (perhaps in danish) in the program searchbox in the START menu. When you want fresh logs about this crash only, delete all logs in the logs folder and reproduce the crash again so it will create new logs.
  21. You can turn a neutral airfield blue or red by having a at least 1 ground vehicle close or on the airport. Preconfiguring the airport to a side works too.
  22. The Windows crash gives you details, dont close it, but click the linked text on the bottom of the little system error box.
  23. Lol, stuff can be hilarious when you let 5 AI fighters line up for an airrefuel. Some wait, some dont. The tanker tries to evade the too fast impatient one. Mostly its one. When its more aircraft it can be more rogue AI. The tanking one has trouble keeping connection. At some point they all crash into eachother. Never seen it any different ince the first day i tried to build a mission.
  24. Its here... Smack in the middle of the frontpage under 'FAQ' almost on top of most known issues and why. Linky: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/faq/Win32
  25. Aye, think theres your problem. DCS World is intended as 64 bit software. Theres a workaround to make it work on 32 bit systems when this gives trouble. Somehow i cant find the link to the topic that explains the workaround for X32 OS, but its somewhere on this forum. Im also not sure if the workaround will be without bugs.
