  1. What OS is running on your computer and is it 32 or 64 bit? When C++ version errors apear you can deinstall them and simply reinstall the right one. Not overwrite. Im not sure if you need the X86 C++ for DCS World when you use Windows 7 X64. I only have the X64 installed. Install only this (vc2010redist_x64.exe) one found in the folder 'DCS World/distr' folder. When you look closer to the other C++ installer in the same folder, you see its an older version in the file propertys. When the correct C++ 2010 X64 installed it should say version 10.0.30.319 in Windows 'Programs and Features'.
  2. Ive just looked into it overhere and its still as before. You are switching from the A10C module to the Combined Arms module ingame. When u use the binoculars or switch to vehicle in the map, not the outside camera view, you fisicaly switch to that vehicle. The AI takes over your aircraft, lands and deactivates. The function to 'enter a vehicle from aircraft' is an optional existing missionsetting. The 'enter an aircraft from vehicle' setting does not exist (yet).

  4. I must say that the latest 1.2.2 is a heap of stable for compared to older versions. On my end theres 2 bugs poking around, but they seem to be somewhere on a list. The wives and girlfriends need enough attention in the weekends too, before the coders can return to do what they love the most during weekdays. We men need them for good food and clean underwear, theres no need to make them unhappy.

  6. Do you own and have Combined Arms installed? Do you look through the binoculars of the chosen vehicle from the ground position or is it only an outside view of given vehicle?
  7. Does this awesome piece software only need to be installed on the server? Or only on the clients? Or both perhaps?
  8. Yeah, Those AI make a run for it when stuff gets complex. Perhaps a trigger where the 'tired' AI get removed and a 2nd deactivated similar aircraft is activated a second later at aprox the same position. This one will listen to a whole new set of rules again. You can add more layers ofcourse to keep it going for a couple of hours. It might be a bit surreal, but might work. When you make the switch as seamless as possible and out of sight nobody will notice unless they are made aware. This opens options in doing this with 2 or more aircraft tag-teaming in and out. This also might make more complex and aggresive AI possible without mindbogling triggers. Different randomly generated attack scenarios in different situations so stuff gets even unknown what will happen for the designer himself.

  10. When you switch to a ground vehicle (CA) you leave your aircraft and is taken over by AI. Im not fully sure, but switching back needs an aircraft respawn. Perhaps this is because CA is still in beta, who knows switching back will be possible on CA full release. No idea.
  11. Is there any ETA on the 'lets-give-the-server-a-instahardwarecrash-by-pushing-the-ladder-button-in-the-A10C' bug? There seem to be some Bond-like villans in the erea that have an itchy finger around that button on public servers when the battery needs to be turned on. :pirate: :glare:

  13. 1. Your connection to the server is poor 2. The server connection is poor or poor hardware 3. A bug that makes the server crash and is suddenly out of reach 4. Gremlins You can see your 'ping' to the server when you press 'pool' in the esc menu when a mission is loaded. Some servers have pinglimits that can be individualy set by the host. 0-100 ok 100-200 doable 200-300 starting to be meh 300+ go play patience or minesweeper or have the chance of extreme lag or be auto-kicked with a similar message
  14. So its in the process of starting to load the missiondata and not when the missiondata is loaded and switches to the portal? Can you join an open online server? What happens when you create a quick testmission in the editor with only 1 A10-C in it? What are the details in the Windows crashmessage? When nothing helps, have you tried reinstalling C++ 2010 and DirectX 9c? (You can find these in 'DCS World/distr' folder)
  15. People with similar issues found their solution in disabling their antivirus. If that doesnt work de-install it. Further step: firewall.

  17. See if you can play the mission by opening it in the missioneditor and save it again. press the play mission button on the left. Can you also be more specific? What have you downloaded and installed? What aircraft are you using on which trainingmission?
  18. It looks like youre making a milkshake in your head about different software product about the same subject. DCS World uses modules. The DCS standalone products have upgrades. BS 1 does not exist for DCS world. Cant you just install the DCS World BS2 module (not the upgrade module) and use your BS2 serial in that? Forget about BS 1 when you want to use DCS World.
  19. What is that nevada map / terrain? It's new the Nevada map/terrain in a new engine called EDGE currently in development. Is it an complete new terrain for DCS? No and yes. Are there any other terrains currently under construction? Officialy no. You might be able to invade Las Vegas, zigzag a cactusfield with a jeep or crash yourself in the atombomb testinggrounds near Groom Lake yes.
  20. Dont you only need your BS serial for the BS module in DCS World? I own the serial for the stand-alone A-10C, but i dont have to install that to be able to use the module in DCS World. Im not sure if this is also the case for BS 2. When you enter multiplayer through the single player DCS World client it asks for that serial and im ready for play. When your DCS World BS module asks for the standalone to be installed first and activated then do so. No other difficult copy n pasting, backups or extra strong coffee is needed.

  22. Ive tried everything on my end towards a full reinstallation and newly created testmissions. When played through the editor (DCS World with module CA) in singleplayermode every vehicle can be accessed. When i load the same mission in the server (DCS World no modules) then some vehicles cant be entered. It does not seem to be the lead vehicle only for me. It doesnt seem to be vehicle type related.
  23. When you use fast mover AI jets that have afterburner capabilitys fuel runs out quickly. I ran into similar problems when creating large scale AI fighter encounters. I solved the fuelproblem by a breaking off path and a triggerzone triggering the AI to do an airrefuel on a KC not too far away. Some would refuel and some would keep trying to make contact with the KC while others refueling making horrible accidents. After refuel they would resume, but there was no remaining task after refueling. A taskswitch after refueling didnt seem to work somehow. Maybe thats different now. The aircraft would find the nearest neutral airfield and land to deactivate.
