Yes, turn everything off in the computer what is supposed to do, maybe you can get 60 fps... Think i need a long hot shower....

Theres no multicore discussion here. My mind works differently than that of the blabla sheep. Measuring = knowing When i look at other programs the measuring of CPU's is according to specs and the readout is fine. Its alos confirmed a few postsup even and by the devs that it only runs on 1-2 cores resultingin low CPU measurement. And i believe what i see, dont let others change you mind with socalled highly studied assumptions. I dont care about 'discussions'.

Installed everything fresh 1.2.0.0 crash crash crash [WORKAROUND FOUND]
BRooDJeRo replied to Milene's topic in Game Crash
Try de-installing and reinstalling the x86 and x64 C++ 2010 versions that are in Nate's bio as well a the directx package. Make sure thereare the only C++ installed. When i have C++ 2005 or 2008 with it installed, the client crashes too. Give your hardware fresh and latest drivers, even when there is no newer version and the installer is on your computer, just re-download. Windows updated fully updated afterwards. -
Im running the game as a server with 10-15 visitors on max settings at 40-70 FPS. CPU is at max 25-30%. Seems indeed most cores arent used. The memory doesnt go above 50-55% and the videocard seems also on undercapacity. AMD X6 Phenom 2 AM3+ board 8Gb DDR 2000Mhz EVGA Nvidia GTX 460 se 1Gb At the moment the most resources are from in memory. System performance with GCS seems to rely not on alot of memory, but fast memory. 8Gb seems more than enough, but having at least 1600-2000Mhz DDR3 memory is vital for DCS. Very fast DDR2 of around 3-4 GB at 800-1000Mhz does the trick too with an AMD X2 running on 50-55%. The result is a similar FPS number with the same GFX card. A positive side is that when youre running a server, alot of systemresource like CPU are spared for other programs like TS3 or SQL/html servers. However knowing that your rig is capable of much more and also showing performance difficulties is kind of hard to grasp as an addicted gamer. Specialy when you see it all working like a charm with other software.

Can't release bombs in CCRP mode (track inc)
BRooDJeRo replied to razorseal's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Some elements are bomb specific like a too high speed wont result in launch a certain altitude. Some bombs are high altitude, some low etc. Did the weapon of choice need a fired and active laser on launch. With certain weapons the moment of pressing and releasing the releasebutton is of concequence. Diveangle, jamming etc etc -

On SSD here too, client doesnt have these exeptions. Also, i saw someone talking about 24Gb of ram in the machine instead of 8, whats the point when the game uses 4-5 on heavy load max settings? -

Does you DCS.exe connect to 161.58.185.114:5222 too? --- Scenario 1: Software masterserver or serversettings = OK Hardware NTT or NTT settings = (/make fart-sound) Scenario 2: Software masterserver or serversettings = (/make fart-sound) Hardware NTT or NTT settings = OK Scenario 3: Software masterserver or serversettings = (/make fart-sound) Hardware NTT or NTT settings = (/make fart-sound) Personaly i think it's scenarion 1.

Funny to know: Eagle Dynamics: Russian (isn't it?) Masterserver location: USA - New York (NTT) NTT: Japan - Tokyo
-
Well.... Due to the fact that i need some sleep and at least must know an answer to 'why' or 'how', i ran some scans with a program called Pingplotter. My firewall says DCS.exe connects to the masterserver with IP 161.58.185.114 on port 5222. A whois search results in: IP location: United States New York City Ntt America Inc. Registered to: NTT America Enterprise Hosting - Sterling The next 2 pictures show a packettrace to the masterserver. The first picture shows when the trace has started 30-45 seconds and the second a minute later. The packetloss in the end of the trace starts kicking of 10 seconds after being connected at 10-40%, then it jumps up to 80% (pic 1) towards full packetloss (pic2). When i look at the IP whois and the traceroute IP's it is reasonable to say that the start of major loss originates at NTT America Enterprise Hosting - Sterling's doorstep and the cause is somewhere in between the doorstep and the server itself. We're being timed out. When Eagle Dynamics is paying for the hosting i'd start calling with the suggestion to NTT to solve it or start asking to get money back, because whats being offered is the ultra-basic and ED most likely payed for premium. ('premium' is the new word of the century btw) I'd say start cleaning up some cables in the serverroom...... When a new game engine is being put on the same location the same problems will come up. The reason why some DCS hosts dont suffer losses can be, because the enter the hosting companys network on a different IP and hardware in the last 2 hops. When this is the case possibly connections through the 'good' nodes can be made. But what are those IP's?
-
What is the location if the masterserver and IP? Still have pingplot it. The problem doesnt have to be at the masterserver, software or with the players Perhaps theres a node somewhere with problems towards the masterserver and from a certain region of the planet you always take that standard route. Other servers on other locations in the world dont take that route and dont have problems. The packetloss causes the timeout eventualy. MMO's suffer the same kind of problem described above, however they usualy program around it or relocated the server to a better location with a higher quality network to all regions of the planet. Maybe the masterserver is just a joke in an old commodore pet casing next to the fridge and coffeemachine. I hope not... Maybe connections from europe get packetstripped by a 'man-in-the-middle' or the government and send on again...

Hey fellas, When im hosting a server, after a while, the server wont be listed anymore. On my end it doesnt matter what computer i use. Also it doesnt matter if im at my mothers house or or at home. (different town) The server directly connected to the outsideline without routers and soft/hardware firewall. A different port. It all doesnt seem to matter, i just dont keep connection with the masterserver so the server stays listed like anyone elses. Im running more serverstuff and they dont show connectionloss at any given time or timeouts. Im running out of options to try basicly, but i think ive come to the point to ask what going on there buddys? The connection seems to timeout or something. Its not a huge problem, but its nice when im actualy sleeping that i dont have to restart the server every 30-45 minutes or a machine is being turned on all day and night for nothing. :megalol:

Its not better than the a-10c...the cockpit doesnt click...and no mavericks.

I cant blame the dude. Personaly i cant wait either to drive around a M1 through years of plutonium bombarded 'no access zone' terrain. Im not sure on the Nevada map's detail in comparison to reality, but it might become one of the most detailed envirements to wonder about of the most secured and closed off zone of the planet. For me its a nice alternative to go there without being bombarded by radical atoms. :smilewink:

They could, just like sony in the old days with the playstation 1, make the written side of the disk black so you cant see the size of the software you bought....

yeah, hide on map is turn on/off for CA users

SimHQ interview - DCS Q&A with Matt Wagner
BRooDJeRo replied to 159th_Viper's topic in Community News
Was on a SimHQ server 1-2 days ago, they seemed to be testing some P51D's. -
Hoorai, got the MOTD working. Seems i had to set up the default serverconfig file first to the settings i want while running the server, then create the folder 'Missions/Multiplayer' in the DCS World game folder (non existent, moved to mod packages), use /reinit to check settings and a working default config. After this a non-default config file could be succesfully created with '/conf save standard' which normaly created a conf file in the servman folder. Any other aproach failed on my end.

There ya go...

Same thing here. Seemed the combo ED-site/IE9 are in argue. Could be a simple versionclash in php script or IE9 being retarted for nothing. A Linux installation on an old laptop with firefox and chrome seem to do fine. IE9's compatibility mode didnt do anything usefull.

DL-ed and added to the list of missions to try on the server.

Been running CA enabled MP missions yesterday and last night and it was good fun with most of the time 10 ppl + inside. (Royal Dutch Secret Service) Thx for this fun upgrade. See you at the battlefield!
