Does it make sense to post bugreports if no one picks them up, no one sends feedback? :( :music_whistling: -

Is this behavior to be reproduced by others? If so, is it reported already? :helpsmilie: -
Engine rough running Fuel pressure issue
MFG62 Joker replied to IvanK's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst

Engine rough running Fuel pressure issue
MFG62 Joker replied to IvanK's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
You is wrong :music_whistling: The boost pump (Behälterpumpe) is to be switched on before engine start and remains running until engine stop! Let me correct you directly from Werksschrift 2109 K-4 Teil7 Triebwerksbedien- und Versorgungsanlage: translated freely: The fuelpump within the fuel tank is used for additional feeding of fuel while fuel pressure is sinking. It is switched on before engine start and only is switched off after the engine is stopped. About MW-50 and no need for electrical switch (assuming pressurized air is fed to tank always): MW-50 is fed to compressor (Lader) by connecting pressurized air from the boosted side of the compressor to the MW-50 Tank. The valve which controls the connecting hose from the compressor to the MW-50 tank is actuated electrically. Refer to Werksschrift 2109 K-4 Teil7 B MW-Anlage / Abschnitt C. 2.Schaltventil. Due to copyright issues I cannot post an 'evidence' e.g. jpg from the reffered pages. You´ld either have to believe or to buy the reffered documents. -
Version: openbeta:1.2.14.36041 Description: Singleplayer mission, airplane in parkposition. When entering the mission, gauges for temperatures and fuel content show NULL (zero). As soon as the mission is started, gauges start to climb to measured numbers. When immediately switching off Sammler circuit braker and/or killswitch all circuits should loose current/voltage and therfore all gauges should fall back slowly (due to capacity/inductive effects) to NULL. In this version gauges stay on measured numbers, I wonder where the energy should come from when Generator is not turning, Sammler is OFF and killswitch is engaged. Even waiting for 10 minutes doesn't show any effect. The same applies when switching off elt. Anlage after flight, when parked and all systems are shut off. Please advice if already reported. 109 Batterie OFF gauges still active.trk

Yeah I find fun in driving Porsche and Ferrari, but I cannot afford them. No reason to get nuts on it.;) So I drive BMW ´cause that´s what´s in my garage ... cause you mentioned it: in a 262 i would take a Pea80 for breakfast. -

@solty yahwn! Assuming you is right :). Just come up with significant money and documentation to build a G-6 (forgotssake) and in the meantime develop some tactics to fight with what you have. All this 'if' and 'when' and 'it has been this way' does lead to: NOWHERE. So again where is the point? Why don´t you try and have fun with what is there? :joystick: -

Do your homework! By testreviews and specification german planes were at least equal most of the time. The reason air superiority was lost to the allies was due to - allies outnumbered germany in production and pilots - young german pilots were not well trained and fell like flies - comand structures had to manage a 24h defense scenario where allied forces at least had a night to rest. - shortage of (higher grade) fuel That all left aside, where is the point to have a balanced scenario? Why are you insisting that for winning you need an equal or superior fighter? I don´t get it ...:helpsmilie: -

At the end it doesn´t matter what type is fighting what type as long as the difference is not huge. We often had those scenarios in IL2, and found that the correct counter measure was to fly tactics which fit the situation. If you are in inferior material make sure you have surpise on your side and lots of additional engergy. Otherwise: do not engage. Seek your advantage and your enemies disadvantage. NEVER fly alone. As long as you do not have to fight a pair Bf109K4 in a P40B it always will be electrifying! :pilotfly: All attempts to create a 'balanced' scenario have a very high risk of to simply fail (mission targets cannot be achieved) or turn out to be very predictable and boring. -
MFG Crosswind - Review
MFG62 Joker replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Using the Pedals (ser.no 0014) since 2013 Nov now. So I also can state my experience about durability and wear. The set had to cope with intensive use, especially in combat situations when things get stressy. I never felt a lack of controlability nor did the precision degrade. All bearings and joints move with minimal play just like when they were delivered. Software support was steady going on, updating the firmware was very easy. Easy to use updater and very comprehensive and briefly edited instructions led to no brainer updates. I never did regret my decision to buy from Milan, if he ever comes up with more products I will surely take a very close look. By every means of Polaris1's definition I am a satisfied customer of Milans product and service! -
Brief MFG Crosswind review
MFG62 Joker replied to Random's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I´m really exited about my MFG rudder. But I have a totally different usage profile to yours. I´m flying a mix of warbirds and helis, where you absolutely have a very improved feeling for rudder and toe-brakes over any other hardware I flew with (saitek, simped, G940). In addition to that I fly Jets where the improvement is not that recognisable. In your shoes and as long as you stick mainly to flying jets I would use the saiteks to their lives end and then go for something better. But thats just my 5ct. :joystick: -
Either way, I assist the request to link skin and mission files. Especially for squads it is very nice to be able to have specific skins / Numbers for pilots. The way this was solved in IL2 really brought big fun through easy recognisable pilot assigned skins (trough combination of freely distributed skins and easyly assigned numbers for eac pilot).

Armoured glass refraction must see video
MFG62 Joker replied to MA_Goblin's topic in Military and Aviation
you would need a special shader for that, will most probably lead to pfs performance issues. Maybe an adjustment of Cockpit frame and line of sight would do. Not the same effect, but maybe a similar result. -

Hi Maler, thx alot for sharing. I encounter a problem finding the template in files section. Any tips?

I pull back on stick only while the engine is spooling up to Startleistung, after app. 15m of roll distance I go neutral and compensate yaw with brake (only up to 50 km/h) then with rudder. Anticipate dipping left wing, correct with right roll, let her lift off and be sure she doesn´t jump into the air while bleeding all the energy resulting in a stall and crash. Just push the stick a bit as soon as she wants to fly. Let her gently develop small (2-5 m/s on VSI) vertical speed and good airspeed, gear, flaps, job done: airborne. Thats how I managed to start her from the beginning. Only issues I had was stalling after steep climb (>10 m/s on VSI) directly after lift-off.

Same here, seems to be a bug!

Questions about Aerodynamic Model
MFG62 Joker replied to IIIJG52_Otto_'s topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
I don´t even have problems with TO and LDG while having 10m/s 20° wind. It´s tricky and you have to anticipate and react correctly then it´s no prob at all. If you do a bad mistake you´re in deep shoot. If you manage to react correctly you might walk away from it, if not: booooom. My conclosion is that there is defently no problem with the physics. -
so they built them with no aileron and rudder trim
MFG62 Joker replied to leafer's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
On most high performance propeller driven airframes you will see a slight missalingment of the vertical stab (in regard to the roll axis of the airframe) or an asymmetrical airfoil of the stab or both. Thus dealing with torque, propwash and other inducing factors. I would be surpised if Dora had totally in-line vert stab and symmetrical airfoil. -

great post only, if the picture shows the effect with full thrust provided by the prop. Which we do not know. So this is an assumption in the first place, no evidence given. But yes, it would be nice if someone enlightens us if the effect would reach the enpennage of the airframe. -

Oh Yeeessss! 110 rulez! Had so much fun in IL2 with that beast!:joystick: -
on the left of your pictures (right wing) you see a steel cable which is connecting to the tailwheel and retracting it when right strut is retracted. Everything is plain correctly moddeled here . But: nice find! and oops: didn´t see the edit, should refresh bevor commiting a post after taking a nap :music_whistling:
