It's in the manual, and here also: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1002619&postcount=33 Does anyone have the ILS/TACAN/Tower frequencies for Nellis?
-
How come there is only one set of ILS beacons per airfield? Is there a reason for this? You'd think there would be one at either end of the runway?...
-
This may (or may not) help: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=59540

You may well be on to something here. Lets hope it's fixed in the next beta (assuming it's not something stupid that I'm doing ;))
-
Incidentally, has anyone got the outer/inner marker beacons to annunciate? I tried enabling/turning up the volume on the intercom panel, but no joy as yet. Could also be WIP...
-
Yes, I did an ILS approach into Kobuleti the other night plus several touch and goes. The set up of the radios takes a bit of getting used to, but you should be able to do it. Check that you are getting the decimal point in the correct place on the ILS panel and that you have it powered.
-
I noticed this the other night whilst performing an ILS approach in to Kobuleti. If you follow the ILS localiser to the needle, you'll end up approx 5 deg off course (equates to about a plane width to the right of the runway). I even took a screen shot as I was quite surprised (will post later). The localiser sensitivity of the needles seems about right, so I don't think there is anything wrong there however the GS does seem a bit tetchy. Could be WIP so I'll await the next beta before I make any decisions on it. I love how you can pick up the localiser back course, particularly when you circle around after a 'touch and go'. Awesome.

Very nice idea, thanks  Any chance of a pdf version? -
Mate you are a legend! It took me about 5 mins to create a training mission from Batumi to Koboleti with a whole raft of weapons to try out! As you say, it's quite intuitive once you get in to it. Here's a very quick and dirty mission I just created, if anyone is interested (completely untested, and as I'm a noob to mission compilation I will not be held responsible!!! Although any constructive criticism will be gladly received :D) Thanks again MFID  Off to add a ramp start version to my training mission(s)... Training Free Flight.miz
-
Can anyone point me in the direction of the mission file that is used for the training missions? I'd like to be able to take off from the same location, fly around a bit and then nail some of the targets around the training ground. Kinda like a 'free flight' training mission. Is this possible or would I have to create one from the mission editor (not exactly proficient at doing that just yet ;) )
-
Seem to be getting a random 'view direction' arrow if I rotate my head view towards the head rest. This happens in most of the training missions, even when other things are going on in the 'pit: Is there a reason for it or is it a bug? I'm also finding that a lot of the training missions fall out of sync due to various conditions not being met. Also, the Unguided and PGM training missions sometime just stop i.e. there are no other instructions from the trainer. You can fly around for half an hour sometimes and nothing will happen. Just an observation...

Getting the same here too. It seems to happen over land mass (the firing range for example). It's like a series of micro stutters, but they are almost unnoticeable. It's hard to explain! Just tried panning around using the keys and the effect seems to be there, but to a lesser extent. You can see my specs in this post: here Maybe it is just that the current beta isn't optimised and it will come out in the wash... I wish NaturalPoint would get their finger out and sort out the 64-bit version of s/w....

Same here, I'm getting flickering textures in both theatres. Mainly triangular shapes on the tops of buildings and around static objects. I'm also experiencing the colour change phenomenon as posted by Pilotasso. It can be seen whilst panning around "Nellis Static Template.miz". I'm also seeing static, vertical lines if I look over my right shoulder in "Shooting Gallery.miz". Will try and post a screen shot... Settings: 1- Windows 7 64-bit 2- i7 920 @2.67GHz 3- 6GB 4- Nvidia GTX460. Driver: v258.96 5- Single monitor @ 1680x1024 Textures = High Scenes = High Civ Traffic = Low Water = Medium Visible Range = Medium MSAA = x4 TSSAA = On Heat blur = Off HDR = On Clutter = 120m Mirrors = Off I've tried setting everything to low and all other options to off, but I still get flickering and the other gfx anomalies. If I run the 64-bit exe, the effects are less noticeable, but are still there. EDIT: Here are some screenies to show the flickering and verticle line anomilies:

Yep, #1 here for me as well

Indeed, I got back into Falcon several months ago while I was waiting for the release of the A-10C. It was a bit like meeting up with an old friend ;) FC2 just didn't cut it for me campaign-wise and I soon got bored, so it I'll be interesting to see whether the A-10C campaign has me reaching for the Falcon manual again. In terms of a study sim and quality of graphics, so far the A-10C seems to be second to none.
-
Yep. But the ball is in my court and the choice is mine. I don't have to buy it from them and probably won't now. Simple as that.
-
And an answer from Amazon: Think I'll wait a while and see if they lower it. If not I'll go with FS. It's cheaper with them, the delivery date is sooner and I have a few quids worth of bonus points with them.
-
It certainly is :D:D Email to Amazon inbound. Here's my brief attempt: Not nearly as eloquently put as Viper, but brief and to the point. Let's hope they take notice. @ Coolts, know what you mean about the interface; very annoying...
-
Viper, that's epic! If they don't knock a tenner off after an email like that I'll never shop there again! Off to construct a similarly disgruntled email...
-
Yep, sling it over in my direction and I'll do the same. Is there a specific email address we should send it to? Indeedy
