Ok, I found an excellent solution to the problem of there not being a new version of nHancer for the latest 258.xx drivers for the GTX4xx series of cards. It is a binary workaround that NickN has written which applies the nHancer settings without having to use nHancer. Bare in mind that these settings only work for FSX (also seem to work well for FC2 and BS as well). Follow Nick's instructions here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/nhancer-for-25715-and-25721-updated_topic34873_page1.html I've just tried it out and it almost eliminates all of the horrible shimmering that you get without nHancer. Frame rates barely drop below 50 in FC2 for me and it looks great :D Very happy indeed :D:D Thought that my new GFX aquisition was a bad one without the support from nHancer. Thank god there are people like NickN around :beer:

Yes, hence the original question. GFX card technology will always progress and even PMDG are suggesting the GTX4XX series for there current and up and coming products, so it is inevitable that cards of this kind will be used in the future. Would be interested if anyone is successfully using this card (or 4XX series) with nHancer.

Just got one of these for DX11 support in readiness for the release of the A-10C. Question is, what are the best drivers for this card that are compatible with nHancer? Are the latest drivers ok or are there better, previous drivers?

Before Elite on the BBC Microcomputer, the first real sim I played was Spitfire 40 on the C64, followed by Ace of Aces: Not sure of the year they came out, late 80's i'd guess. ^ Completely agree with Coolts. The U2Nxt & CubPilot hall sensor mod is comparable in price to the TM WH stick. If it's anything near as good (I'm sure TM have learnt from these mods) then it will be well worth it.

Horses for courses! Completely agree that it is inflexible. For me I only want it for the A-10, I only wanted the Cougar for Falcon (although it has been used to death on other things). So in that respect the WH is perfect. Agreed that FFB would have been nice though, but realism comes before that for me.

Completely agree. I think if it lasts that long then it is a good investment imho. And if it doesn't last 10 years, I'll mod it 'till it does (a la Cougar) :D .

Yeah, they look like images from the launch. Presumably if you pre-order from Amazon you card is not billed immediately? Nice to see that the words "Delivered FREE in the UK" are in bold letters. That thing is gonna weigh a bit :D ;)

The WH now uses hall effect sensors in all of it's axes, including the microstick iirc, so problems of this ilk should be a thing of the past.

Precisely why I abandoned my 737 build and sold the (expensive) gear. Will definitely be getting one of these and some TM MFDs. Great post Steve, thanks for sharing this with us :thumbup:

That's great to know, I'm definitely gonna get some when the new WH hotas from TM arrives. Shame I don't still play Falcon otherwise I'd have bought some by now. No real call for them in BS or FC2. Are the A-10C MFDs the same size as the F16? Think I read somewhere that they are bigger?
