any one got the new thrustmaster A10. HOTAS
CrashEd replied to con3para's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It really is awesome. Couldn't go back to my Cougar now. Been teaching myself to use independent throttles. It's fairly easy once you get used to it. -
Thrustmaster WartHog Switchgear
CrashEd replied to MadDogMcQ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Mines the same. I think it is just the design of the switch. The ones that appear to be capped actually still have a thread on the outside. Because they are spring-loaded in one direction, they probably need to be 'closed' to give the switch strength. The 2-way switches are all open. Silicone won't be going anywhere near mine. I'm making some covers, like the ones that you used to be able to buy for the Cougar, out of an old fleece :D -
Beautiful job mate, well done and thank you for your efforts  I'm gravitating towards A5 size documents for all of my checklists and other 'in-cockpit' charts. Is there some way of printing this A5 size, only on A4 paper (if that makes sense?).

Is there any way of adding a wp to your current flight plan or will it only be added to your current mission plan? I'm only able to see added WPs when I select Mission on the steerpoint selector.

Upgrade from TrackIR 4 to 5 worth it?
CrashEd replied to coolts's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah, the track clip pro definitely yields better results but it's a pain having to use it with headphones. Shame you can't clip it to a baseball cap... I used one with my TIR4, however the TIR5 is still better. Worth a try before you upgrade though. -
The problem is that the cursor slew is absolutely fine in any other scenario (TAD, HUD,TGP zoomed out) other than when the TGP is zoomed in. So, if you adjust the slew speed via the Status page/UFC then it will effect the speed everywhere. Similarly, if you adjust the curve in the controller setup then it will effect everything. To fix it in Target, Target would have to track the zoom level somehow in order to make it less sensitive whist zoomed in. Not sure how you'd tackle that one, but I bet it could be done. (Edit> what Joe said lol ;)) Just to reiterate, bug exists (too sensitive) only when the TGP is zoomed in. Lets hope it gets fixed in the next beta.

Upgrade from TrackIR 4 to 5 worth it?
CrashEd replied to coolts's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
^^ lol :megalol::megalol: I've upgraded from TIR4 to a TIR5 and I've seen a big improvement. The fov is much wider and the problem you're getting at extreme angles is nonexistent. It also seems to be a bit less susceptible to ambient light e.g. light streaming through a window. Sold my TIR4 on fleabay for £90. RESULT :) -
Why not ;) Everyone else seems to :) ... And force of habit. Do it as a matter of course at work.

Yes, very good of Seahawk to do that

Eddie's handy 9-line cards in A5 size! See here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1016219&postcount=21 Sorry to hijack your thread Seahawk, thought others would find it useful! :)

I took the liberty of doing this Eddie, hope you don't mind! (if you do, let me know and I'll remove the link). All I've done is put two 9-line cards onto one sheet of A4. It just makes printing a little more efficient for those of use who are tight when it comes to ink ;) The formatting got a little screwed up when I converted it to a PDF, but you should be able to fold it in half and cut down the middle. You'll then have two, handy, A5-sized 9-line briefs from one sheet of A4. Should fit nicely into a kneeboard-sized wallet :) Hope it's of some use! http://rapidshare.com/files/427795011/STANDARD_9-LINE_CARD_2.zip p/w: nineline

he, he. No offence to any one in M'bro! Good luck with that one 'muff! ;)

Wow, three 'working' Cougars in one country. Must be a record! Plenty of life left in mine, but it will be going into hibernation for the unforeseeable future ;) Know what you mean about the microstick, Coolts. I'm teaching myself to pivot my hand over the throttle when it's on full tilt (or at least >80%). It seems to help a bit. I do believe that there is an element of code tweaking needed in A-10C though. The TGP pod seems to be easily controllable when zoomed out. However, when zoomed in it would be easier to control it whilst being pi$$ed on Titanic. It's a bit of a handful. A small amount of, ahem, 'axis tweaking' is required to make it a bit more tame. I think I'll post in the beta forum regarding this... Will be interesting to see what you make if it. EDIT> Microstick problem reported by Dragon here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1016091#post1016091 .
