He he, lol! Good luck mate :D

I say get onto Amazon and see if they'll price match it. I wouldn't trust FS to get it any earlier than Amazon. Amazon are a huge international company. FS are a small shop in Yorkshire ;) But, you never know!
-
Actually, Coolts could save around $20 if Amazon sell it at the same price as FS, which is a saving of around 4%. If that's the price of 'entertainment' then consider me entertained! ;)
-
Yeah, it's a tricky one. I've ordered hardware from FS before, and although they are usually very good, I have experienced delays before. Just a thought - Amazon offer a price guarantee on pre-ordered items. I wonder if there is anyway of alerting them to this, lower, price. This way you get it cheaper and retain your free shipping. Just a thought
-
Lol, yes there's a good chance :D I'll reserve judgement until it arrives though.
-
Yes, I know that mate
-
Agreed. Let's hope they have it sorted for the WH. In the meantime I'll have to make do with crappy pots.
-
Lol! :) Flightstore (UK) now have them listed as 25th Oct. The price is good too, so I may have to cancel my Amazon order. However, FS aren't the quickest at shipping... http://www.flightstore.co.uk/thrustmaster-hotas-warthog-for-pc.asp/simulation/joysticks (PS: I have nowt to do with FS...;))
-
I do have a use for it. Really looking forward to the video mate. Hope you get better soon
-
No kidding, that's exactly what I want to do :D And I wouldn't say the are worn out from the start, they are just the wrong component for the job ;) I want to spend as little as possible getting my Cougar, in its current state, back into 'working' order without spending £££ on it. Then, when I am over the financial burden of purchasing a TMWH, I will get it modded with the u2NXT+ Cubby hall sensor mod :D @ Coolts> Cheers mate, will email TM Support

Note that the Leo Bodnar card does not work with 64-bit Win7 (or any other 64-bit OS for that matter). At least it didn't when I last looked at one. They may have newer drivers now thought, so it's worth checking if you do have a 64-bit OS ;)
-
I should also add this useful link for the good of the community ;) :D
-
I think TM will only replace them for free if it is still in warranty (2 years).
-
Holy smokes! ETA to warehouse: 10/01/10 Deilvery to your house: 10/29/2010 ;) Let's hope it's early. I hope Amazon get their finger out and deliver early too. Still saying October 29, 2010.

Yes, they are called CTS and the pots are the 251 series - 100k ohms iirc: http://www.ctscorp.com/components/Datasheets/251.pdf I figured that might be the case. I might call Digikey and see if they will add them to their stock, being as they stock the microstick, which is also made by CTS. Or, I might just buy some from RedDog, and save all the hassle :D
-
Oliver (RedDog) is your best bet for spare parts. I recently ordered 2 spare microsticks from him, however he is also running low on spares too: http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/sales.php Annoyingly, I found these not long after on the Digikey site, if you're in to soldering: http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/745226-pot-joystick-100k-ohm-w-switch-252a104b60nb.html http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?lang=en&site=UK&WT.z_homepage_link=hp_go_button&KeyWords=252A104B60NB&x=30&y=20 I'm gonna retro-fit my 'broken' microstick PCB, so that I'll still have two spares. Here's a handy list of reference numbers for the spares: http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/warranty_parts.php I've tried sourcing the CTS pots for x, y and z axis, but to no avail. If anyone knows of a company selling them I'd be interested as a quick fix, before I muster up the cash for a hall sensor mod. Their part numbers are: CTS 251B15F104B2NB for x, y axis CTS 251B15F104B6NB for z axis (throttle) When I'm feeling rich (hopefully some time soon!) I'm gonna stock up on spare switches etc... HTH

Cheers for the heads-up guys  Finally I've managed to pre-order one of these beauties :D :D
-
For now, google 'YouTube Downloader' ;)
-
LOL, I know what you mean! I'm a big fan of F1 and have had this on pre-order for a few months now. I like to have an alternative to sims that I can just pick up and play, instantly, every once in a while. Even if I am the worlds crappest F1 driver! I think it is released tomorrow in the UK, so looking forward to seeing what it's like.
-
It looks pretty good from the brief glimpse in GA's video.
-
Precisely ;) One for Falcon, one for the Hog :D
-
Same here. Merely limping along until the WH comes out. Was saving up for an Nxt and Cubby mod, but now the WH is imminent I'd be silly not to get that first. I will upgrade my Cougar one day though!!
-
Nice find. Maybe they will do a Warthog version... There doesn't seem to be an easy way to order the existing ones on their site though... I hope this is the case in the UK.
-
Awesome :D Ouch!!! That sounds painful. Take it easy
-
Thanks for the info guys. Shame the guy is still not around to make something for the Warthog. I may have to make something myself. Deadman, I would happily pay you to make a set of these
