  1. Heh, yeah just seen that, but thanks  Hope he gets it up on YT soon as I'm away from my PC at the mo.
  2. I sure hope they will be mapped to keystrokes. Along with most of the other clickable switches (MFDs etc).
  3. Awesome, I'm looking forward to both of those, in particular the JTAC creation in the ME.
  4. I noticed this recently, but as it happened only the once I put it down to either a random failure or mis/un-aligned INS. The mis-alighnment of the HUD was in the roll axis and I didn't have a particularly heavy loadout.
  5. Thanks for the screenies kylania
  6. Cheers fella  I need to do a bit more reading on JTAC so that I can start to create a few training missions. Would be great to be able to change the JTAC type e.g. 1,2 or 3 (although that may be terrain/vehicle dependent) and the type of weapon to be deployed.
  7. Quick question regarding the attached mission file: How do change the frequency of the JTAC in the ME and also how do you change what orders the JTAC gives e.g. the type of weapon to be deployed? I've flown this mission a few times today - an excellent intro into JTAC, thanks! I find the JTAC a bit buggy though, sometimes I can contact it ok, other times not. I'm hoping it's WIP and not me! :D
  8. Many thanks mate, this is perfect
  9. In most of the instructional videos that I've seen recently I've found the captions to be distracting if anything. Stick to what you are doing mate and you wont go far wrong  One thing that would be good is if you could attach a relevant mission file with the vids, so that we can try and put in to practice what we've learned. This would help no end :)
  10. Cheers fella, I'll remap it and give it a wizz
  11. Huh, mine wasn't mapped to anything in beta1. I thought it was a bit odd. Cheers for the heads-up. Will be remapping that
  12. Indeed. There are lots of helpful vids in the 'Screenshots and Videos' section of the forum ;) http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=88
  13. Lol! :D
  14. Yep, it's switch/direction dependant. Aplogies for the crude diagram! ;)
  15. I used an old fleece to make mine :)
  16. I use the CMS centre button as a modifier as it is not used in the sim as far as I know. This allows you to double up every single switch on the stick/throttle for other uses, and keep the unmodified buttons as standard ;)
  17. ^^ Hehe, yeah I was cunningly more concerned about crap getting into the bearings inside rather than the switches ;) A bit sneaky :) Yeah, we a passionate community and hopefully all good friends. No hard feelings at all mate :)
  18. Really good to hear a review from a real-world pilot. It's interesting what you said about BS - I got so frustrated trying to fly BS with my old Cougar that I gave up in the end. Now that the Beta for A-10C is out I haven't had a chance to fly BS, but having read this I think I'll give it a go this weekend
  19. I actually commented on the cap issue on the first page of this thread ;) http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1016838&postcount=5 Apologies, I didn't mean to come across angry. This wasn't aimed at you Succulus  Everybody is welcome to their own view and comments. I have no problem with that. It just winds me up when people say 'Oh, I had a Cougar so it's bound to be cr@p'. Or, 'the usual rubbish from Thrustmaster'. These are comments from clearly predjudist people who shouldn't make such bold statements without any knowledge ;) It is an excellent product. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be as outspoken as I am
  20. What is wrong with everybody? These kind of comments infuriate me  THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SWITCHES. I am an electronics engineer and I've worked on aircraft for many years. The switches on the Warthog are better than those on some aircraft I've worked on!! The so called 'covers' everyone is talking about are not even 'covers'. They are a 3-way, spring-loaded switch that, by design, requires an enclosed part around the top of the switch. The 2-way toggle switches are 'open' by design. They will be like this on any real aircraft. Jeez! Please don't bother commenting on the perceved quality of the Warthog if you A) don't own one, or B) haven't even seen one. Rant over...
  21. Hahaha, I concur mate  Crazy idea. Each to their own I guess :)
  22. Great video! Would be great to have a 'how-to' video too. The JTAC stuff is phenomenal :) Any chance of posting the mission file for the video above? Haven't tried any night time JTAC missions yet.
  23. ^^ Thanks, will give this a go later on :)
  24. Good info for others, thanks StrongArm. I did the same for Shu's airport plates. I'm trying to standardise everything to A5 size (kneeboard). It's a much handier size to have in the 'pit :)
