  1. Which version of this aircraft? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. BRRRRRAAAAT! Make sure you have enough speed for the PAC to be effective. Strongharm has a good training mission that talks about all this- speed, pitch angle, and target angle I think even above 300kts if you can Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’m thinking this, but only ED really know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. In the world of sim aircraft, usually it’s all on your plane. It doesn’t matter if the other aircraft have it implemented or not. If they choose to go the other way it would cause much chaos as almost all the aircraft have different IFF systems from each other. A F18 can’t interrogate a P51 IFF (as far as I’m aware) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I hope so. I’ve recently found the brightness knob on the A10c MFD to be very helpful in seeing both the map and the waypoint lines if I lower the brightness down to 5. It’s better than constantly turning the map off so I can see the displayed info Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Which cockpit buttons that are currently non functional are going to remain that way? I’ve noticed that the contrast, brightness buttons on the mfd do nothing, as well as several on the ufc. I’m trying to decide how much I should expect when the module leaves this early access stage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Radios and IFF according to other posts on this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Aircraft Manuals??? In the file labeled docs in your install. If you don’t own the module just google “dcs manual a10c” or whatever aircraft and you’ll find I quick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for all the hard work you’re doing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Any news on making this IC compatible? And yes I have it in my saved games Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. There was a problem with the warthog throttle like what you are saying. I thought it was fixed but I use a t1600 HOTAS so it never bothered me. Check some of the older bug reports and see if it was supposed to be fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I agree with what you’re saying, but didn’t know that the “parking brake throttle lock” was wrong. However I think a lot of people don’t check that their hardware throttle is all the way back when entering the aircraft which is what I’m getting at. This leads to the throttle being stuck at idle and won’t allow the cranking process to start. Whether this is correct or not I don’t know, but it is the problem with why people often can’t start the harrier (in game). I know nothing except what we’ve been shown about the tea harrier and reading the real manuals doesn’t help someone if it’s not correct to what we have right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I think you guys are seeing bugs where they don’t exist- except for maybe a joystick bug. If your throttle is at zero when you enter the cockpit then you have no need to push the fuel cutoff switch because it’s already there. If for some reason (such as a throttle spike) your throttle has moved up to the idle position, then you must press the fuel cutoff switch and lower it to zero again before attempting to start the engine. Once the engine starts turning and you move your throttle into idle it should not be possible to lower it to zero again unless the fuel cutoff switch is pressed. That’s a safety feature to stop pilots from shutting down engines in mid air. Tl:dr. It’s a hardware throttle issue not a harrier bug Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hmm. So I guess autostart doesn’t align the INS. One “cheaty” way of aligning it is to set the INS to IFA as soon as you have power. Then it will use the onboard GPS to align while you’re flying around. It might take a bit longer than normal alignment but it works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You need to wait longer. It can take 3-5 minutes. (I’m not sure how long for the autostart to do it) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’ve been waiting to see if someone answers cause I don’t know. All I know is that it was implemented when they made the radio menu clickable with the mouse. It might be hard coded in Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. What we really need is a mod that hides the picture behind the sticky note until you click on it. Kind of like a “boss” key when the boss passes by Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. They are however, updating the cockpit soon to take advantage of new graphics rendering. Under some conditions the lighting may not be perfect right now, but I’ve had no problems flying it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It does- the little weather vane thing on the nose right under it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don’t have much of a problem with the throttle. Yes it’s not quite as smooth as some (but it’s fairly cheap)- but I do have a problem with the rudders that came with it. The rotary is fine and not too hard to turn. Easily done with a little pressure from your pinky finger and very smooth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Need community advice on ant elevation axis with current throttles Well the thrustmaster throttle that came with my t1600 has a pinky rotary on the throttle, a mini-stick axis, and a rocker that could all be used (I use the pinky rotary) Oh- and my old saitek x52 throttle does as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I use “joystick gremlin” which allows me to do this. I have one button programmed to my HOTAS and then one virtual button on the virtual joystick it creates. When I push the HOTAS then it will push both buttons. I use this to have a first trigger pull that is also a modifier button (to save buttons). So for example my throttle pinky button works as a modifier and as a first stage trigger pull for the F5 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Did you left click the throttle a couple times when you shut off the engine? If it’s not all the way off when you try again that might be the issue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. No, this is a mod done by a select group of enthusiasts. They do not have access to the required code to do anything so complex. Same reason as to why there might be slight hiccups in the flight model and such. They have done an amazing job but this is not a “professional” product and this is why they are giving it away for free Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Your specs are close to what mine were before 2.5. Right now I’m running I5 3570k overclocked to 4.5Ghz Nvidia GTX770 16 Gb ram Before 2.5 I could do with an old graphics card and 8 Gb of memory but that just isn’t the case anymore. I get 40-80fps on medium graphics settings (1080 resolution) as long as the missions aren’t huge. I don’t have an SSD but even so it only takes 10 minutes to go from first click on the desktop to flying. Once you’ve loaded a map then new missions on that same map only take a minute to load (textures are cached). An SSD would help with load times but won’t do much about graphics settings or FPS.
