  1. There was last night. Not sure if it's in every mission though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Not the way that the manual describes. Always left engine first. After that you can bleed from it but rpm must be at 95%. No real life experience here, just sim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I start it almost every time without ground power. The battery is enough when combined with the outside air source Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks, I never knew that. Just saw someone else mention it and wondered if they were right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Was there any disadvantage to releasing with the alternate gear handle? (More maintenance etc.). That seems much easier than all the other ways once the engine was off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Is the radar "earth stabilized"? When I'm climbing at 20 degrees is 0 degrees on the radar still on the horizon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's not an instant fix. You'll see the pedals trying to correct for yaw. Especially on landing when the collective is changing a lot. It's mainly good for when you're in steady flight already (whether that's a hover or stable flight). Even then you have to deal with a lot of movement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If he was pulling lots of G's then that slows down the airframe a lot. Either that or he would swing wide of your turn in a sort of vertical yoyo to keep his speed up but stay behind you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So many people are posting about "bugs" that were acknowledged in the change log. It would help all of us if everyone would read the couple paragraphs that tell all about the known issues that they chose to release anyways so we can have early access. I can't link it in my phone but it's in the main news section of the forum or the last weekend email Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That makes more sense to me as I hear it when I start the engines Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The saber is like this too. It's to do with no hydraulic pressure when the engine is off I believe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. F-5E Help using the ADF and Bomb (GBU12 and MK-82 Snakeye)? Do the bombing tutorial. It give you one setup for 5000' above target 20 degree dive Whoops. Just saw you said snake eye Nvmd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Sounds to me like you're landing very fast. Should be 145-155 knots depending on load Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Something that helped me years ago was the realization that you trim to a certain speed, not attitude. The plane will dive or climb to try to maintain the trimmed speed, hence the oscillation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. For those of us who haven't been following the conversation, what do we have to do to enable or use this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Not quite as told... Sure. But don't you think the Russians would have said something if it was a fake. They would have loved making the Americans look stupid. That and the fact that anybody with a (really) good telescope could see them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hey I'm just going off memory here, but it was an old post from probably 2012 or so. Who knows whether it was ED themselves or some 3rd party developer. It may even have been right when they were opening it up to 3rd party development. Take it for what it is, an old guy remembering something someone said years ago ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. They have previously said they won't because BMS did a good sim of it, but I still think they should do it. BMS is based on an older engine than even flaming cliffs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. No razerback here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Or bring the jugs. Whatever! ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. But then he talks about rolling 2 times to the spits 1 which seems less like siscors unless it's more about faking out the spit to prevent him from knowing when he's switching directions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've always liked that passage. I've never quite understood the whole rolling thing though. I'm guessing he must have been barrel rolling so as to remove a gun solution while he sped away. That's the only way that rolling seems to make sense to me as a defensive move. Am I right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I use the profiler. I have a different profile for each aircraft so when I load up I just select for eg "A10" or "Ka-50" and all the buttons are ready to go. It has the added benefit of not usually resetting with each update. You can remove the pinky as the shift if you want and make any button the shift button in the profiler. It takes a little learning to use it but once you do it's a very powerful tool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. There's a post around here showing how to add it to your registry once it's on the other computer. After you do that then the different versions only download new stuff instead of repeating the same downloads for each version Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
