I assume it's for dogfighting and not wanting to remove your hand from the throttle and look down at a high intensity time

No issues with the chute here. But I will complain about the radar elevation adjust being way to sensitive with buttons (non axis)

To add to this, I'm pretty sure in DCS it won't even catch the wires (as it is now) no matter how good the trap attempt

1. I don't live in the mountains
2. I understand about the limitations of the sim, just offering about how it could happen IRL

Where I live (Canada) we often have snow into late April and early May- even though the temperature might be above 0. It takes weeks or sometimes several months to melt snow that can be several feet deep. You often see people in short sleeve t shirts with snow on the ground. In the mountains and higher elevations snow can (and does) persist all summer long (hence glaciers).

Noticed yesterday playing on a multiplayer server that the limiter was on even though I did nothing different at start. Made me wonder if it's a mission payload option or something.

I was looking for a key yesterday and couldn't find it either. It seems to be on in a hot start mission, but that's it

Most people using this sim prefer realism even when it's annoying (as it can be in real life). Sometimes the startup procedures are as much work as flying the aircraft.

New missions?
The 3 missions are the first 3 of the campaign. The campaign is excellent and is a good way to learn the chopper. There is a forum section for it if you get lost.
I don't know he many missions but I think it was 14 or so (guessing)

I use the target pod to acquire targets then push them to the maverick for take down. The TGP has much higher zoom levels

I wonder if that's actually a bug or not. It could be a simple switch that simply rotates from where it's set every time you push the release. (I mean in real life)

Staring, the F-5E
Actually a pretty good movie. Never heard of it before. I will admit to skipping most of the non flying scenes in the beginning but about half way through they actually became fairy relevant to the plot and interesting too

10 minutes in. "Here's the f4 smoking across the sky, and here's he f5, small and doesn't smoke".
...Except ours does. Smokes like a chimney in September. Like a kid in a corn field. Like an F4

I think a few posts up he mentioned that radio 1 is intercom now, radio 2 is the first real radio. I think it's changing next release too.

These planes always used the chute. It's normal. It's a bit harder if you don't have pedals though as its all on it all off

I had this happening before the update and it turned out I had to change the microphone from stereo input to webcam mic. It didn't like using the general mic input it needed a specific mic to use as the input. Also check the output speakers.
Not sure if that helps but whatever

Wondering what these are in f5 update. Anyone know?
Wind in FM
nose ballast with inboard tanks
Wing break or brake? (I've never had a wing break yet)

I've been trying that but I never hear anyone. Is there a common frequency used for general communication and coordination?
