  1. Su27 uses the same trigger for everything as long as the weapon is selected. If it fires for one thing and not another it means no launch authorization or weapon not selected. You can override the launch authorization with left alt-w Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. People (including me) can really get caught up in that last little overclock. But for using the computer it’s more important that it be stable than as fast as possible. I pushed my I5 3570k up to 4.7, but then brought it back down to 4.5 just to keep the heat down to normal levels. When you’re playing a game the last thing you need is a shutdown due to excess heat or loud fans running in the background just to keep it stable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Definitely not the first person this happened to! I’ve seen it pop up a few times on the forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Turn on the pitot heat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Pretty much. I use one joystick profile for both. The only commands that seem to be different are for the things the su33 has that the su27 doesn’t (arrestor hook, refueling probe) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Congrats on the instrument rating! That’s a lot of work Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. As far as I’m aware it’s left ctrl-e 3 times ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Interesting. Another reason to listen to the 9-line and attack from the designated course Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The vertical scan zone seems to be fairly small. I’ve noticed even a degree or 2 making a difference, so 10 degrees could be way too much (depending on range of course) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. AV-8B Harrier Thread Don’t forget though that unlike most aircraft, looking down at the harrier will show less exhaust but looking up (like a SAM) would show more. On a rear engined aircraft there would be less exhaust hidden or shown by vertical aspect of the aircraft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Especially when most battlefields are within a few minutes of takeoff anyways Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I’m not for or against tacview enabled here (I think it’s up to the admin and either you accept that or move on) but isn’t the 10 minute waiting option supposed to remove most of the ability to cheat like this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Good thing I screen shot the tf-15 then so we can hold them to their promise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Free TF-15 confirmed! 2 seater eagle here we come! ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ah. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Why are mk20 rockeye despised? (Aside from being old tech) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Quoted out of context Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Don’t get me wrong, I like the ASM models, but to complain that we are somehow penalized by not having it is wrong
  19. Did they have a datalink on early F15C? If so I could see why you’d want that, but I’m pretty sure that’s an upgrade from the early models Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. In what way are you being penalized? So you can’t mouse click on buttons. Aside from that it’s pretty much the same already. What more would they add? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. If you want to see what actually happened use tacview. It will show you everything. If you want to make videos then you need to record with other software Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It’s just a control binding issue. Check you axis assignments and add mouse to camera movement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. A lot of that is because of the real flight model too. It was almost scripted before so of course it was easer. Now it’s realistic and with the addition of allowing trimming it’s perfect now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. So you just fly around till you randomly find targets? If you never look at a map then you don’t really know where you’re going. Tacan and VOR are fine for navigating to known points, but don’t get you to that field in the middle of nowhere where the enemy is. Unless you happen to be from the region you’re flying in, you need to see a map. Also, unless you have some charts somewhere else how do you even know the ILS or tacan frequencies unless they are in a briefing. The TAD is a realistic instrument for navigating and the F10 map is really just a bigger view of what you see on the TAD. Only if you allow missions to see the enemy does it become “cheaty”. 25. If you only fly in a small section of the map then you get familiar with it and don’t need the F10 map much. But even real pilots have “paper” charts they can look at for frequencies and such. Unless you happen to have a paper sectional map of the region you fly in then the F10 map is still useful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
