I like this idea.

Played the beta for a while, overall not impressed. Quick and dirty impressions: It looks and plays just like Wings of Prey. That isnt a good thing. Even with it set to simulation, playng with a HOTAS you can tell this game was made for a gamepad, and mouse/kb setup. See :http://warthunder.com/en/game/features/12/current/ . Graphics in game are not nearly as pretty as the screenies make them out to be. They are not bad, but not great. The sounds of guns is totally like a modern FPS. To be fair, I think this will change...if not it WILL appeal to the Call of Duty crowd. The FM is over-the-top. Take the P-51 out, and try your best to stall it, and even if you do manage to, recovery is simple. A hit or 2 of gunfire will blow up a ground target as if it was a fuel truck and you hit it with 10 rockets. The DM seems off. It is like every plane has hitpoints and it doesnt matter where you hit, or get hit, just how many times, and that is a alot of times to get a kill or get killed. Add the bandwagon "MMO" feature that every PC game comes with these days, and you get that crowd. Yes, its total quake war in the air. As much as I want a great WWII sim covering all the theatres, this isnt it. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but I wasnt. This game is for the casual gamer that wants to play a FPS using WWII aircraft. The "points" system, the unlocks, the 2 min missions, the flashy icons that flash on your screen when you kill something, the GPS map (even in sim mode), etc. etc. totally ruins it. This rides the line of simcade way too close to the cade part. Thats not a bad thing, but it isnt for me.

Yes! If a person cant be excited about this, they have no pulse! Looks like a great plan, and will add so much for the Ka-50 pilots! Looking forward to this. :thumbup:

Looks awesome. I am guessing people that have been playing a while will probably not want a change, but I think this would good for me.

Eh...to each his own. I am glad to see this actually. Nothing wrong with a good arcade flight game with a stick. I love my sims, but not a "sim or nothing" snob.

I am in the same boat. I am using a MSFFB2 and x52 throttle and love the force feedback with the Ka-50. Only issue is total lack of buttons on the actual MS stick. It limits me quite a bit. Especially if you want to fly the A-10. I was also reading reviews about the G940 and, yes, all of them are older ones. From what I understand there have been updates that fixes spiking and other issues. Have not seen a recent review since. Still thinking about getting it due to FFB and buttons. Would love to hear about someone that uses it now, and what they think.

Did you clean off and replace the thermal paste on the proc? Or did you just put the cooler back on it? It could be that the proc is overheating if it isnt flush.

I dl'd BigfootMSRs interactive traning missions, and have not been happier. Just put them in the ED/DCSWORLD/Mods/KA-50/Missions folder. That is odd. I am running an i5 3570k and getting 33-45 fps on high settings. Tons of smoke going on drop it down to 20's, and a salvo of rockets hitting the ground at close range drop it down to 15-17 for a second or 2. Not trying to start a fps war, but I wasnt aware it an issue. I am pretty new since I really only started playing with the release of DCS World, but it has me not playing any other sims. I have the BS down, and will tackle the A10 soon. Also on the fence about grabbing CO. Would buy the P-51 if there was say a FW190 added down the line.

I downloaded Touch Control, with the autokey addon, and this profile. I just cant the thing to work (not your profile, but the app itself). I have the Touch Control server runnign on my PC with the profile loaded. I have the iPad "talking" with the PC (I assume). After that...I am at a loss. I keep seeing someoen say edit a Lua file, but not clear where/what. If anyone has a more clear step by step on getting this working I would be soooooooo happy.

I did the upgrade as well with no issues. I had BS1 from steam long ago, installed it. Installed DCS World. Purchased and DL'd the BS2 upgrade module into DCS World. Launched BS in DCS World. Entered code of the upgrade. Played the game. Not sure how "hard" that was....

The campaigns that I have stock in DCS World are good, but I cant seem to find any good "blue" ones. Do they exists for DCS World? IF so, can someone point me in the right direction?

Haing issues trying to get the id of my MSFF2 "3button". I used the script, but it doesnt seem to be working. Is it the same id across the board or different from PC to PC?

I am in Central Time Zone. If it was anytime after 6pm CST I would freekin love it!

I am having a blast in the Ka-50. I am loving everything about it. Takes a bit of time to learn, but its a fun road. I also have the A10 but I have not touched it yet. I will one day, but as of now...the Black Shark is keeping me very busy.
