I like what you are saying but we shouldn’t need a mod for this, it’s a bad joke at this stage waiting for interior lighting to work on such a wonderful module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+1 Would really appreciate a shark update for the cockpit buttons, its very stressful.

Overclocked Video Card You are so far off the mark here Toto it's unreal. You are not being spied on because of your graphics card being overclocked. I have a 1080 and overclocked it a few days ago and no errors or crashes. Now, I have overclocked before and other titles don't run, hang or crash so I know when I have pushed the card too far out of its comfort zone but this is not a software issue.

Bumpy runway rollouts
Dav IRL replied to Chitto's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Regrading the roll outs the Harrier has really low wheels and very little suspension as a result. The Make sure you are completely stationary and your canopy is open before requesting to rearm, and also make sure you are rearming at a 'blue force' base and not a neutral base. -
Thank God I am doing pretty well compared to the above, I switched shadows to low and the MFD's to 512 and it has improved things dramatically, the 3 screen in the cockpit are a system hog.

Both very good options, thank you both I will return with some feedback on how I got on, I am starting to enjoy the Viggen but my CCIP bombing in Persian Gulf is really bad as the terrain is mountainous.

I knew after around an hour or so this was going to be my favourite and most used module (ultimately) and I had no major expectations being early access. The guns are just so cool (Shoot! Shoot!) but will there be an audio cue for that??

Just logged in here to what looks like a large cohort of hysterical hornet fans who have been waiting all day for the release! I'll have to log in and see if she is ready for me!

I have loaded my data cartridge in, all the info comes up on the kneeboard except QFE? Any takers? I am on the Persian Gulf Map.

I have the choice between stable and beta and i choose beta to enjoy the most current build, it seems you are expecting a beta release to be bug free which is not the way the release of beta builds works, surely you are aware of that, I think the beta in its current state is pretty awesome albeit a few bugs (to be expected) here and there.

Cheers for the heads up.

The weapons seem to be bugged in 2.5.2. Here is my experience so far: Cannon: Air to ground cannon not working unless I select stores, air to ground, and select 'gun' in the top right corner of the MFD. Before I just switched to guns and selected air to ground mode. Mavericks: When firing mavericks the TV screen stays open even after selecting IMRV and IMRV not showing on the HUD correctly, so I have to attack a target with both my TV and TGP screens open (FPS BURNER!) Sidearm: Sometimes fires, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't fire at all, locks and doesn't move on target or reset audio cue after pickle.

The training missions are very well done, more are welcome devs, the atmosphere in a thunderstorm during a strike mission is sublime especially with the improved weather effects. I would like if the mirrors could fold away.

Stutter whenever someone else hits/destroys a plane in 2.5.1
Dav IRL replied to backspace340's topic in Game Performance Bugs
Agreed!!!!! My wished have come through!!!! I noticed I was playing an insane amount of DCS this weekend and was wondering what had changed and then I realised the combat is actually fun again!! Adds so much immersion!!! -
To all the team at ED, well done. The beta build is heading in the right direction. Improved details everywhere, like flashes on armoured vehicles to signal a hit, vapour trails, rain, explosions and not forgetting performance. The performance is getting better, allot better. I really like the fact that one can play offline now too. The new Persian Gulf map, I have been playing it all weekend in two small sections and it is really high quality. Normandy, it could do with speed trees which I believe will come in time. This is the best build yet however what I am most impressed with is the fact that there is no longer micro stutters when a vehicle or aircraft gets hit or explodes, whatever has changed in this department must remain, it's smooth now and way more immersive. If this is what is coming then the future looks really promising for the sim. I think all the small details are starting to add allot more immersion to the sim, we just need deck crews and runway crews operating at takeoff and landing and that will be another immersive step. Weather settings in the editor are good, perhaps a little too complicated to set at times without knowing what you will get until you launch the flight, would be nice to see allot more easy settings for weather like 'grey skies and rain', 'grey skies and snow' etc.. I miss the grey skies!! Anyway if the radio chatter gets a more realistic make over and weather effects are kept simple, not too demanding the sim will hit another level altogether. Keep up the great work, truly, amazing work.

What are you on about 'small area', have you allowed the map to load? Have you zoomed out of the map, this is a massive map, the biggest DCS has ever made, and takes extra long to load.

Spudnocker's TrackIR profile for DCS not showing up in TrackIr
Dav IRL replied to mibo's topic in General Bugs
Yes its hud, downloaded it the other day. -
I am posting from a military perspective, for example: Static airport units blue 'fills the airport with static vehicles and aircraft models' for immersion. Busy airport 'military planes landing and taking off but non active in terms of mission design' Very busy airport 'military, civilian and ground units parking, taking off and landing'

Thanks to ED for making me (37) year old man feel like a kid at Christmas every once in a while.

Just ordered the VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.IV
Dav IRL replied to Dav IRL's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
This is the video I seen for changing the tension and it looks pretty hard. -
I would like the option in the editor to select an airfield 'red or blue' and select it's level of traffic. For example: Moderatley busy Very busy Extremely busy Whichever you choose the editor places down aircraft operational and non operational and creates traffic.

Just ordered the VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.IV
Dav IRL replied to Dav IRL's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I am pleased with the pedals, they are just so compact and effortless to use. Coming from Saitek rudder pedals (which no offence to anyone) are a huge lump of plastic, there is no comparison there. Regarding the toe brakes, I don't have a problem putting the brakes on a button on my joystick. I would prefer to set them on a higher tension which you can do but judging by the instruction video online you may need an entry level engineering diploma which means I will have to use the standard settings. I don't know why but in VR you can feel each increment on the rudder pedals in flight, 2d is missing that advantage for some reason, I can't explain it. Customer service was poor and yet the product is 'a keeper' so hopefully they work on that aspect but not a deal breaker. On a very positive note once I ordered them I had them within 5 working days, that was impressive, driver even left them with my neighbour so 10 out of 10 on delivery time. They just work and work well, you feel like using the rudder pedals as a tool of the aircraft and not some pain in the backside that never 'feels right'. The feeling reminds of going from the X52 to the Warthog some years ago and I am sure many can relate to that feeing albeit the thing isn't that light which is one thing I actually miss about the X52. They add another quality bow to your weapons collection, you won't fly without them again and they are fun to use and easy to setup. The product is steel and size and dimensions are small but pack a punch in terms of gameplay and compatibility. Overall I am thrilled with them, and regardless of the customer service would buy from VKB again, at the end of the day the mark iv's were worth the long wait, I am glad I didn't go for a large contraption from other companies and waited, patiently, very patiently. The product delivers and thats what really matters when you invest in new flight sim gear. -
Brilliant I'll squeeze it on comfortably, thanks for sharing the info!

I just purchased the map and the hornet, I would like to know the exact size approximately of the Persian gulf map in terms of hard drive space? Thanks.
