  1. Mine arrived today and I must say they were sent on Monday from the Netherlands and they are here at my doorstep (Dublin) now so 100 marks for delivery time. I am in work now and not sure when I will have time to use them but it will be at some stage this weekend. I agree that it is very hard to recommend the 'shopping experience' however if the product delivers then I would be willing to forgive the experience I and from what it seems many users have had too. They look very compact and all other options look really awkward and sloppy so I stuck with wanting them. There is software to one button them on your hotas as toe breaks so I have no idea why everyone is saying its a no deal without toe brakes. I will give them a go in DCS this weekend, can't wait. I have been using the mouse nimble on the warthog throttle which is super sensitive and inaccurate for far too long now!
  2. I think it is fair to say that the trade off is not worth the hassle in terms of both performance and visual. There is not enough of an improvement to warrant the extra demand. The release of the hornet and straits of hormuz will be on hold until the engine takes a smoother step in the right direction, its been a headache this deferred shading business, badly timed with VR introduction and while all modules are pressing ahead full steam we can't see the correct lighting on the switches in the KA50.
  3. I put my order through in April, the money wasn't taken from my account so I got an update last week saying that I need to resubmit my transaction details. I did, reluctantly, the pedals are on the way. I am looking forward to getting them and will write a small review not them here, if they are a good product I will let people know my thoughts, I know the customer service is odd however if the company are updating stock and websites I would lean towards overlooking the messing on the basis that the product is great. Looking forward to flying the choppers with these.
  4. Yes this is shocking service, I am in the same position, put in the order and got a receipt but no correspondence since. Very poor customer support, very poor communication, very poor experience. This an absolute disgrace!
  5. I enjoyed your sarcastic mode switch, where is the key binding to toggle it?
  6. Is this on release or Beta? Hopefully release!!!!
  7. With the greatest respect you need to spend allot of time in the sim, getting to know it, all these questions you have will come in time, just get used to the interface and key bindings and try different things! No big deal it takes a long time to get familiar with this sim, ease your way in!
  8. I agree 100%, ''it's in the harbour'' well they need to get a truck over there and get the kit in house, the customer doesn't want to hear ''it's in the harbour''!
  9. Agreed, its like the business is run by a bunch of complete stoners who are really all over the place and unorganised. I paid for them and I want them and if I don't them after May I will go absolutely ape shit. Ive paid, I want my product. Did the shipment arrive without the pedals? What are they smoking seriously. I'll give them a go and see what happens but from their forums people are very cagey at this stage.
  10. Great stuff everyone, sounds very positive. I think I made the right choice waiting for them to come back in stock, even though it took months. Like the sound of them being well spaced too.
  11. Nice, do you fly any helicopters in DCS, I say they feel allot better?
  12. VKB-SIM T-RUDDER PEDALS MK.IV I cannot wait to get my greedy little fingers on these rudder pedals. Just ordered yesterday from the Europe store, they have been out of stock for quite a while but I didn't see any other product that was as discreet and professional, all other rudder pedals looked massive, like hard work to use, where these look really tight and smooth. I personally couldn't care about toe breaks; I have it shift stated on the stick so no big deal. I had the Saitek Pro Flight and they wear plastic, large and felt like a toy. I hope these rudder pedals turn out to be as slick as they look. Any simmers out there have them and whats your thoughts?
  13. You guys need a hug :)
  14. This is just brilliant!!!!!!! Really appreciate the file! Where do I place it to hear it in game? It's just the coolest music. Thanks again :)))))))))))))))))))
  15. I have 2 x 8 and 2 x 4 totalling 24 gigs of ram and no issues at all, I just slapped it in my rig yesterday and it worked perfectly.
  16. I miss the original Black Shark theme tune (menu music) why and where has it gone to! It was the best soundtrack!!
  17. I was winding you up, the blending overall has improved as recent as the release of 2.5. Regarding the lights not working in the pit, yes, that is an issue with some modules but I have no doubt will be resolved within a few months from now. Personally I prefer DS on but I know there are elements that need refining, it's a matter of patience surely. Particularly night time, lights are not visible at a distance and with deferred shading off night time looks way better, but they will sort it out no doubt.
  18. I'm afraid it's your rig, not DCS. I am playing 1080P maxed including 8XAA at 60fps.
  19. Would you like me to send you a private message and I could give you a detailed tutorial in tweaking your graphic and monitor settings?
  20. You sound very frustrated there chief.
  21. Yes you have a slow internet connection but that's not ED's fault now c'mon.
  22. Yesterday I downloaded the release version 2.5 and installed it on my hard disk. I did a fresh install with everything except Nevada which I simply copied over from the beta and 2.5 found it, I didn't have to reactivate anything and controls copied correctly. Overall a simple process, have no idea what the drama from some forum members is all about. Sure, its not fun downloading and reinstalling but its good that we don't have to reactivate modules and ever worry about different versions again! Once that is done you can just dump the beta in your recycling bin and enjoy the release.
  23. Awesome work SkateZilla. +1
  24. I would buy a larger screen. I have VR and while it is 'the future', after a while you will miss the crisp detail of 4k. I have bounced back and fourth from each, and deep down I know that VR is not meeting the HD standards I have been used to. People will see better VR goggles 'at some point', who knows when, in the future perhaps, but one has to bear in mind that even with a really nice rig and with the current low resolution you will not be simming away happily, as deep down you will remember the good old 'locked steady 60fps' days with 4k resolution and go back! Even when the the resolution of VR is increased you will still be struggling with a smooth and fast experience at a massive cost. With all the detail that has been put into DCS there is always a voice in the back of my head when I am playing in VR saying 'this looks really dodgy'. Yes it is more immersive but at the cost of gameplay and low end visuals. No thanks, I tried, it was fun but the demands outweigh the cost and the cost may end up outweighing the demand. So enjoy the beautiful textures and high frame rates and the screen size is up to you, I can understand some people going smaller as a large screen means you actually see more detail which is not always a good thing, less is more as they say, however I play on a 50 inch and I like it.
  25. This is very good news, can't wait :)
