This is correct, you must have BS1 installed on your system for it to detect the installation.

Agreed OP is not being fair, his GPU is not fit for purpose, you should get a gtx 1080 ti OP and you won't have the problems you are encountering.

I have a 1080 and play in VR at 1.4 PD and most settings quite high and it runs very well, not sure what you are on about.

May I suggest using Voice Attack, setup the numbers 1 through 9 as voice commands, that way you can tell the computer what digits you want.

What we need is a quality chair product with mounts, ready to go, out of the box.

Indeed my texture quality is set to high, it is a must, couldn't do medium or heaven forbid low. All The side panels and radar are unbelievably well done, that is without a doubt, with flipped mirrors and sharper text on the weapons selector I know it will be tighter, I would like to see the hue and lighting in the cockpit to be warmer and more vibrant, that is all.

You have to fly low for the entire flight pretty much, if you get that call it means you are flying too high, that is the main challenge! in the level! Stick with it and you will be way more satisfied with yourself then asking for a refund because its tough! Follow the river and stay low, power lines won't kill you but trees will!

After three or four painstaking attempts I completed mission two this evening, what a feeling of satisfaction when you pull up beside the truck after landing on waypoint 16. I have to say this is awesome, you have to fly low as possible for the entire flight, it's terrifying.

Fair play to the devs for updating the Mirage, I fully support devs who update their older modules, great work.

Well I started flying the Mig after a long 3 year break and I am really impressed and really enjoying it, I just love it and I hated it at first, the Mig originally ran really bad from a performance point of view and now it runs perfectly, I hope as someone who has come back to her that she keeps on giving, even the tutorials I found excellent today.

The F5 is a great choice, easy layout in the cockpit, easy startup, simple weapon controls but still requires weapon practice.

Has been removed since 2.1, not sure if it will come back.

Without Lasso I would get a micro stutter when shooting down a KA-50 with the harrier A/A. With Lasso I don't so surely that is major positive for 4 core users?

Sorry to interrupt your epilogue of information but when using Project Lasso on my setup the performance is much smoother then without, especially when it comes to hitching, on a ten your old dump rig like yours I am not surprised it did nothing.

I use Project Lasso and set it to single core, get a much smoother better performance at 4K, micro hitching when shooting down KA-50's is gone which is awesome. Setting it to CPU affinity tanks performance. Quick Tutorial: Load the software while in game, alt-tab to 'Active Applications in Lasso and right click on DCS and set the priorities and cores there, it then boots when you load Windows automatically and runs at those new settings, think I will purchase it to support the devs.

Unflipped mirrors, low res text on dials, slight micro hitching, cockpit lighting looks okay but not mind blowing sorry not buying into this module being nearly finished, the level I expected and the reason I waited before purchasing the module was higher, I thought these issues would have been resolved by now and yet you the developer are using laser scanned textures on the f14? Why have a higher quality for your next module and not this? And to be honest I am just being honest it's not like the module is bad it isn't, it could be way better though.
