  1. There hasn't been much said other then I believe at one point it was stated that we would see a F-15C PFM + ASM. Who will be making that I think is up in the air with everything else is going on. Not saying it's on the back burner at all, but for now I think they're more focused on 2.0.0, the hawk, mig-21, and 109k4 releases. just my 2 cents and what I've read. Also, I am not a person that will say because a certain project came up that everything else stops....that doesn't happen.
  2. The Mi-8 and F-86F are both still missing the flight manuals. The FW-190D has the flight manual.
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDtvxQtn5mU An example of an F-14 roll from inside the cockpit. Notice how when he goes down for the roll the aircraft isn't bouncing a lot, however, his head is going left and right and up and down. I think this is what we're seeing in the videos(or at least I hope it is). The mig's suspension provides the smooth ride for the aircraft down the runway, however, those bumps that are being taken care of by that leaves the pilot to be bouncing around. as RL pilot this is very true. you go on a roll and almost everytime you bounce around somewhat. I'm not saying that the exaggeration is true for all runway conditions, however, 9/10 times you will never have a true smooth take-off. Earlier someone said also that what would you rather have? The MiG-21 pilot's experience or silky smooth runway. I agree, the latter is far better.
  4. You should only be using rudders in order to maintain directional control. You should also have 0 engine torque considering it's at idle or around 1000 rpms. You only get torque when you have high RPM and low speed.
  5. While it's not common knowledge, there should be enough knowledge that a person should understand what makes an aircraft a USAF or USN. The biggest difference isn't tail hooks. It's folding wings. However, I digress and will say that the F-15C's or any USAF aircraft equipped with a tail hook is not meant for carrier landings and that we shouldn't be looking for arresting cables to catch on a carrier deck, but on a runway for future updates ;)
  6. You can't tell the difference from the outside because of point of reference. If you're outside of a jet rolling down a runway thats a little bumpy you'd never notice the difference. Being inside at the controls, however, you would feel and see the effects of a bumpy runway. Are they a little exaggerated sure but, who knows how bumpy they are.
  7. 1 video has been released in the last day. I read your post fine.
  8. 1 video? Bunyap has 3-4 videos out already and counting. Devil and Bluedrake have put out a couple of videos and both have also streamed multiple times so far.
  9. That hour was the best hour yet on the MiG-21. Sure, he didn't know what was he doing but, I doubt anyone else is gonna have much better attempts at there first few tries. I'm just hoping the model for the F-4E gets updated. She was looking ugly.
  10. I haven't seen a pressurization system yet. I could be wrong. That system wouldn't matter though if the cockpit was blown off though. This is assuming you blew your top your off on accident and had a loss of oxygen. I'm just testing to see if hypoxia works or not. At that altitude there is no way in hell someone could remain conscious for more then 30 seconds. Proven fact.
  11. At FL350, however, I should only be conscious for at most 30 seconds before blacking out if the oxygen is all the way off.
  12. I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but I will eventually today to try it out.
  13. You can trim on the ground already....just the elevator trim. And you do trim on the ground all the time. It's called setting trim for T/O.
  14. Same here!!!! Just got 4 mig kills. It's a good thing my flight didn't form up haha they probably would have been laughin at the boner smile I had all the way home to the airfield.
  15. Thought I'd share this since it was being discussed for the Dora. Flying at 35,000 I turned off the oxygen. After about 10 minutes of flight at fl350 no effects occured. Blew the canopy off so I could get some wind in my hair. 10 minutes later still no effects.
  16. Nope, just went flying around at 35000 with the oxygen off...nothing happened. Then decided I might as well get some some wind in my hair and blew off the canopy. Even then still hypoxia did not set in like the A-10C, however, I'll let this thread go back to being about hypoxia in the dora.
  17. The engine wouldn't start if mags weren't on. However, once the engine is started and you turned off the mags the engine should shut down since there is no longer a spark being made. The mags provide the spark. My experience though IRL ranges from single and multi-engine piston aircraft.
  18. They've got a mustang vs dora mission on now. Had a pony shoot my prop off. i'm wondering though why I can't shoot a mustang's prop off? Is it because it's metal compared to the wood pop? I'd think my cannons would be very effective at shooting a metal prop off.
  19. "how does one use the "auto updater"... double clicking doesn't do anything different than starting the si" If you want to update it just go to Eagle Dynamics folder under your program files and click on update DCS world. As I recall the auto-updater(or so i heard) was that when you run the game it only checks at like 3 am or something so it only does it once a day.
  20. Another suggestion is don't pull the stick all the way back. Just pull it AFT of center and you'll lock the tail wheel. I noticed that going from all the way back to center would let the tail jump up faster then I'd like. After playing for awhile I realized if i hold the stick just aft of center I can still maintain directional control while having the tail wheel locked and when it comes time I don't have to worry about that tail popping up fast on me.
  21. I don't think Wag's can afford a private jet, however, a private turbo-prop maybe haha
  22. Here ya go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V53sHqjHoS8&list=UUAKMqUxVW5q3NQbBfqcU2bw I don't know why my quality came out like crap but at least it got the sound. It seems it may be the turbine missing. There's no whine to her when she starts up haha.
  23. So, I did the cold start instant action realized it was quiet. Dawned on me I had my volume turned down. Turned it up, reloaded mission, did start-up. While I can say it's def. louder now because i switched my volumes from 70-100 it just doesn't have that roar to it as your video does it seems. It's def. louder though and more noticeable then before. Just doesn't seem as loud as it should be though. I can try to record a video here in a bit and post it.
  24. That video is 2.0.0 though, surely even with edge they've improved with the sounds but the current sounds in 1.2.9 sounds nowhere near as nice as it does in the video.
  25. Every aircraft you check for bird nests no matter what.
