  1. Thanks for the book! :) P. 201, Ground power. In real life, ground power would already be connected and applied when the pilot enters the aircraft. It will also disconnect and actually fall off the aircraft connector automatically after engine start is complete. I don't know if this is possible to simulate in DCS..?
  2. I have changed CK37 units on the Viggen. No way you could've fit one of those inside my PC without me noticing. It's cramped in there... ;)
  3. How'bout entering at zone 3 and exiting at 5, full sweep? ;)
  4. Happy New Year! Zone 3 into 2017! ;)
  5. I think you're right... And anybody who have tried to make their own controller know that it's not cheap..! ;) After making two throttle quadrants I have a totally new respect for anyone who makes and sell controllers at limited numbers.
  6. It does! Interesting...
  7. A shallow video would've been just external views of the flight, with some cool music. This, however, was not shallow. It had detailed information on how to select the weapon and set up the attack, with voice instructions... it was perhaps short, but definitely in depth.
  8. Yes and no... ;) That's what he asks at first, but then changes it to having only on-on switches.
  9. That's just...incredible! I have seen a pop-up attack, but with gunpods, at the live fire range. One thing I noticed... DCS didn't seem to flinch as all those 24 rockets hit the target.
  10. Are they just ON-ON? That could be wired like a ON-OFF by just not using one of the poles. But, you could still wire them like ON-ON, and then set up MMJoy to send momentary signals when the switch is turned on and then again when turne off (not on). So each switch will be able to control two different buttons, but you decide which one you map, if you know what I mean... If it's a toggle function, you just map one switch direction and use it as a on/off switch for that toggle. I.e. 'BTN22' for gear up or down. Or if it's a two way function, you map both switch directions. I.e. 'BTN22'' for gear up and 'BTN23' for gear down.
  11. You can set MMJoy up to send a button press signal for both on and off, but I think it will be the same button.
  12. Yeah, it got better. But the early design philosophy was more like the Me-163 Komet rocket interceptor! Full speed ahead, intercept and kill the enemy. RTB was the secondary objective. Or so it seems! ;) Strange, really, since they built a very combat capable aircraft in all other aspects.
  13. Nice piece of kit! Does it mill aluminium?
  14. Wise decision not to buy the Draken then. It usually declares a fuel emergency at takeoff. ;)
  15. True! Several 'firsts' with the Viggen. It's going to be really interesting to see how all those features function in the sim.
  16. That's the least we can do! ;) Absolutely! Don't get me wrong. I do believe that the Viggen module will be successful. My point is that if you want to be sure of a lot of sales and make a module that promotes itself, you don't do a Viggen. You do a F-16 or F-18 or something like that. But as you say, several external developers seem to be making modules that pleases them. And, if you make a really good module of any aircraft, it will attract flightsimmers, and that will increase the popularity of the module and attract even more people.
  17. LoL! I was just going to post that link! :)
  18. I have the older VKB Black Mamba, with the extension, Thrustmaster adapter and the new cam gimbal. It's a great stick! Although with the very heavy Warthog grip on top of the extension, it feels a bit light. But the gimbal is very sturdy and incredibly precise. Combined with the really good angle sensors, so even the smallest of inputs are transferred from your hand to the simulator. It has very little friction. I think that introducing controlled friction damping like they do with the Gunfighter, is a great idea! Looking forward to test it...
  19. And he's just pointing out a resource for the devs, to help them get the sound of the guns right. :)
  20. I'm astonished that someone actually made a high fidelity rendition of the Viggen, for a flighsimulator... It beggars belief! I mean, it's not an aircraft that will have a huge fan base. Which only means it's not a strictly commercial endeavour... It must be something of a labour of love. And now it's less than a month away. Somebody pinch me! :)

  22. And those are really enjoyable! I haven't seen all of them, yet, but I will.
  23. Because; THUNDER! ;)
  24. Don, I take it from you information that both eyes can see, but only to the left? In that case you should be able to use VR goggles like the Rift or Vive. But, as Patrick here suggests, testing them first would be a good idea.
  25. It's the Maverick sensor. So, no Maverick left on the rails, no image in the EP13 (Rb75 video tube).
