  1. No, the Mi8 from Blue. :D Or, yes when they also add R-27ER or datalink to red.
  2. As soon as they remove 25T from Blue or add gazelle to red. :)
  3. Must be a red only thing, I couldn't load the KB pod either, not a loadout option. Probably mission resource list needs updating. With troops. Last night when I took a farp, it took two strikes with the Viggen before I brought in the troops with a 20-25 min chopper flight. Planning removes pointless time and life wasting, choppers are more enjoyable this way. The other day I took Ka50, my buddy Tek in Mi8 30min flight to attack a farp and capture it. So much fun can be had with choppers and timewise it doesn't take too long like you believe.
  4. Some of the replies to this thread are pretty disappointing to say the least. If you think going into a climb at 120 knots with a full payload and simply applying full back stick, full rudder and full throttle should perform such a stable maneuver at such high AoA with no wing rock, stall etc. then you need to take those rosey specs off.
  5. Flanker fans give up, you can't win, not even low speed engagements with empty Flanker vs fully loaded F-15. Thrust Vector Control FTW :D
  6. When I go to a farp or airbase with a chopper there is no such thing as a return flight because i'm taking over that sht. ;)
  7. AFAIK it is a bug, friendly SAMs will lock you up when they are locking near by bandits, AI friendly fighters do this too.
  8. Most heli runs are 20-40 mins unless you go on a really crazy mission, what else should you expect?
  9. One guy mentions the words 530D is better. He doesn't state what so how does that sum up an entire thread. The fact is it is vastly superior to the R while the ER is only marginally better than the 530D. So why do you have a problem with guys using an ER but you see nothing wrong in yourself using 530 against R-27R, that is double standards.
  10. Please don't make stuff up, I don't think that has ever been claimed once in the history of these forums.
  11. But not hitting on the point about lives. I think they should just remove the Su33 completely, make Mirage Blue only, remove troop transport from Gazelle, Huey Blue, Mi8 Red, and make R-27ER available for the 27 and 29. This will address some inbalance issues regarding capability, improve SA for Blue aircraft and be much closer to a true Blue v Red scenario.
  12. Yes because of all those documented Flanker wing breakages this must only be for one aircraft, no because ED models over stress as equalling wing breaking based on nothing more than 'over stressing the airframe' then it should apply to all or non.
  13. Intentionally? broken? bias? Not only did I not say any of that you totally don't grasp the point made but instead try and make out I've just typed something that is not fact. That is text book straw man.
  14. Yes it is a gift because Red are worth it. I don't know why they don't just remove the Kuz. On the Gazelle, this needs sorting. Either add it to red or remove the troop transport, having 1 man armies is just not cricket
  15. The point is lost, in a Flanker you have to be aware of your limits when in the heat of an engagement, cranking, diving, rolling pulling into the notch even barrel rolling, if you want to be succesful you have to be aggressive but with airframe limits imposed you also have to be disciplined. Being concerned about not overstressing your airframe is a major factor in this. Now with the new stick limiter imposed there is a terrible turn rate on the Flanker unless you apply the override which greatly increases the overstress risk. Now switch to the F-15 and you have nothing to worry about, not even if you're carrying 3 bags, you can perform any move without any concern whatsoever so can focus purely on prosecuting attack and defence, spiking G by pulling too hard, rolling too erratically, crazy barrel rolls at mach speed to confuse seekers anything goes there is nothing to worry about here, its like comparing a military sim against X-Wing v Tie fighter. Why would ED restrict one airframe in FC3 to this while the others don't have such restrictions. It is like making the doppler notch affect one radar set but not another.
  16. :D Of course it is, I need to stop typing stuff when i'm drunk.
  17. It doesn't matter what targets are there the only challenge comes from time on target which is not so easy in a balanced fight. This is the only time targets and objectives should be allowed to be destroyed and is what really seperates the wheat from the chaff.
  18. Just sounds to me like an even greater reason other than k/d to spam all actives then rtb. I'd rather servers keep moving away from the solo mentality and concentrate more on team work. Having a legendary, epic, monster k/d is boring.
  19. No but what it does say is that if you have more than one company working on missiles they will inevitably come to different conclusions on how those missiles should perform be it speed, chaff resistance, drag etc.
  20. I don't think ED making a mach 4.5 missile only reach mach 3.5 while Razbam make a mach 4.5 missile reach over 4.5 is the same modeling.
  21. Of course there is a significant problem here, with more restrictive G he would need to bleed more speed to attempt the gun kill therefore losing more energy, surely this knocks on the door of common sense in losing more cash in a dogfight.
  22. I notice there are no Reapers etc. in these shots, they were probably taken after all the Reapers quit due to getting their asses kicked during even teams period. Not so easy peasy with SR when Blue ain't stacked is it Crash. :)
  23. The speed of the Matra is not what surprises me here, I already knew I was in a bad place before I started the engagement and that the Matra would be on me well before I could get my SARH on him. I stayed silent right until the point he turned radar on and immediately locked me up about 15km. What did surprise me though was how easy the R27T gave up on tracking a target that stayed in afterburners.
  24. Great event again, awesome flying from everyone. Fantastic job again Maverick and IronMike for setting everything up. Kudos to Microvax who tied a few red fighters up North with his 1st AWACS attempt, congrats on the 2nd sortie success. The challengers were more cautious this time around and allowed us to control the airspace for a majority of the time, great job from the 104th and SF squadrons holding the line. There were some fantastic missile evasions on show which highlights how much more of a spectacle this set up is, hopefully we can see more merges in the future. Having one life though makes everybody extremely cautious most of the time, long range defensive shots and hard locks from different angles by the defensive side early on limited a strong press from the challengers. Great fight at the end there after the strikers went down. I'd advise the stream organisers to please run a delay with the stream as far as I am aware it was running real time. Watching back I see comments in the chat log from pilots who were still flying. As much as a great watch the stream is if you're flying in the actual event you shouldn't be clicking on the link, delay or not, thanks all.
  25. I see the confusion you made with 11deg from 90 equalling 79deg. But as Sweeper says 11 means 110deg, which would put him 20deg off a true perpendicular to you. If the bandit was flying directly away from you the 11 would be 0 and if he was flying directly at you it would read 18 (180deg).
