  1. No problem Tello it happens, I know you're always a great team player.
  2. Thanks for hosting. But we need more MiG pilots next time, the sides were woefully unbalanced from the start, though that wasn't too much of a problem to begin with as MiG team felt stronk but getting tk'd after working so hard to get a good position on a bandits 6 made it feel worse. Looking forward to the next one.
  3. Why not restrict A2A payloads? Have SARH only or just short range heaters. Doing this you are bringing the fight more in tune with the strikers, missiles are easier to defeat and multiple targets will no longer be engaged from over 10nmi away. Not only that but this will also scare away the spamrammers. Allow choppers to build defence networks to give them a comfort zone to operate in, even giving them the opportunity to build FARPs.
  4. Unbelievable, we have white discs over the dials now just like PS2 graphics. What was so wrong with the original glare? I'm so glad ED are working on such critical stuff.
  5. If you mean this below, Ciribob means units will spawn to defend the base.
  6. That's an old video of the A-10A before the A-10C came out and before the A-10A received updates, the reticule now appears at the top of the HUD the same as the A-10C except it is 'fixed only' on the A-10A. The A-10C can have fixed, scan pattern, slew or slave, that's the beauty of full fidelity.
  7. I think the point is to make awareness of counter steering because even though it is a natural action of riding on two wheels, it is not apparent to the rider he is actually doing this. When it comes to emergency situations without this knowledge the uninitiated reaction is to try and turn away from the danger with a steering wheel reaction instead counter steer away from the danger. Practice makes perfect and in this case it can save your life.
  8. It would be great if ED would actually implement a GCI slot instead of servers using a get around with observer slots etc. There is a great tool that has been around for a while called LOTATC which is a dedicated GCI program and is actually pretty awesome. Though the problem that comes with using external tools is the server load is usually going to suffer. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=162096&highlight=lotatc https://www.lotatc.com/
  9. Stat tracking tells a lot more than just how many guys you shoot down. Survivability, weapons used, flight hours etc. are all great stats to help understand how you're developing alongside your buddies, sharing tactics to realise what each other are doing right and wrong should be part and parcel of multiplayer.
  10. PID (TWS) is not real time it uses prediction to show multiple contacts while tracking. The problem on ED's side as far as I can tell is that when PID loses the contact from the target notching etc. a memory feature should remember last known and try and reacquire the target. The memory feature isn't there afaik. This happens with the F15 also.
  11. Nurburgring is a tough track to exploit the power of a bike on. Here's a good example of an R1 chasing an R6, the R1 is holding back a bit but the difference is not much. Also no matter how fast you think you are there is always someone faster. :D
  12. Usually you can't beat the sound of Duke, a friend of mine has a similar 1100S but the sound while awesome is definately not neighbour friendly. The last 10 years of Ducatis with improved reliablity and service life are now reliable, living, breathing companions. As for VFRs the only one for me that had character was the RC30. I still enjoy Jap bikes though, always been a gixer fan but Honda and Yamaha being the quality choices. I grew up in the crazy 2 stroke era RDs, RGVs, KR1S, RG500, TZRs all behaving like boy racers on bikes, basically young and foolish. Takes a while for a youngster to realise that the real dangers on the road are usually yourself.
  13. Just server hiccups. AI F-16 is also at exact same time.
  14. Hello and welcome... Memorable intro and the first videos I watched with LOMAC. You've done many a great service, thanks Ironhand and on to YT we go.
  15. Unless you're defending something?
  16. 4 crates, so 8 trips at anywhere between 10-20min flight one way to save making a 25 min flight to an airbase/farp that will be cleared and waiting for troops within an hour. Sorry I must be missing something because I don't get it.
  17. That's what I thought. But i'm interested to hear what you think about tail on targets being seen at the same ranges in both High and Low PRFs with the RDI and also is ENT (Interleave) Medium, Hi/med or Hi/low in your opinion?
  18. Somethings are not clear for me regarding PRF in the Mirage. The manual states that Interleave (ENT) is Medium PRF, while the others High and Low are relevant surely Interleave is alternating between two PRFs eg. High and Low in this case and not using Medium at all or is it alternating between High/Medium like with FC aircraft and also in the same way that Interleave is stated High/Med in the F-15C 34-1-1 manual. Plus I've noticed that there is no detection range difference on a tail chase between HFR (Hi), ENT (Int) and BFR (Low). High PRFs are used for Head on contacts but poor at tail on, this is represented well with FC aircraft where there is huge detection difference between Medium and High, Medium being the optimal choice also stated in the 34-1-1 manual. But taking into account the relative performance in DCS of the APG-63 compared with the RDI in the head on aspect (about 75% power of the APG) with the Mirage it seems that using High against tail on gives a range similar to what you'd expect from 75% of the APG-63 in Medium and the High PRF detection in both the RDI and APG against tail on is quite close. So with this in mind surely tail on High PRF is over performing with the RDI. Also to add to this, in the Head on aspect there is no detection range difference between High and Interleave inside the max usable range of ENT at 45nm. For example HFR sees an F-15 at 40nm but so does ENT. Now i'm in the opinion that this is the correct modelling. ILV alternates between two PRFs between bar sweeps so there should be no reduction in range as far as I can figure. But FC has a 25% reduction in ILV over High PRF I don't know why it is like this but surely some reason behind it.
  19. Yes SRS is a big miss on Red but i'm sure it will come around eventually. I don't think there is anything serious to worry about it is just light banter to keep the edge in what is a face off, lets not try and pretend we are all enjoying get shot down by one another. In all seriousness Blues and Reds always bring a good fight.
  20. Give him a break, after all haters gotta hate.
  21. Fully clickable Su27 pit is without doubt the best dream i've had where I have woken up without the feeling like i'd commited adultery.
  22. Yes of course because earlier in the week Blue took all the way to Anapa with balanced sides. I don't think Blue can handle balanced, they tend to fold like paper with balance but they excel at 20v0.
  23. I agree that using JTAC slots for fog off war is a much better solution, this relies on friendly radars and aircraft radar building a picture for GCI rather than just seeing everything, though a lot of the missile shots still become visible. With the observer slot it makes the picture too obvious for GCI to dictate eg. he knows without ambiguity that all enemy are either rtb, landing or on the ground so he can declare a push. Likewise he can call a retreat to perfection with perfect clarity not to mention the tactical melee aspect. Regarding organisation i'm sure we just have to take the rough with the smooth with this or wait a long time for such events to come around. Great work by the 104th keeping these events running so close to each other, these guys do have real lives to attend to so let's just be thankful they take the lead on running these events and that we do get to take part.
  24. If you want a challenge get the MiG-21. The Mirage is a great module but it is more of an F-15 than a Flanker.
  25. Out of interest is there an oversight regarding GCI using observer slots instead of JTAC slots because using observer allows literally everything on the map to be seen be it enemy ground units or enemy spawning aircraft, every missile fired, bomb dropped etc. This removes any chance of hiding and gives the opportunity for GCI to see any attempted sneaking or tactically out witting of his friendlies. Is there an issue with using JTAC slots that just uses friendly radars to see aircraft or is it for another reason? Observer slot is not a 'forward observer' it is a see everything game master slot without the ability to move stuff.
