I haven't said I can't do it i've highlighted the issue where there is no warning of impending breakage which seems unreasonable in the real world. If you hadn't come here with a chip on your shoulder you would have understood that.

Judging by your posts you haven't a clue what you're talking about and rather choose to try and poke fires, so I suggest you go back to splashing the AI.

Imagine that the transonic roll off issues on the F-15 in the past hadn't actually resulted in the wobbling but instead resulted in your wings snapping off. Then you'd understand where the line should be drawn, i'm all for removing crazy use of the S button but when you pull 5g in a roll and your wings snap off without warning some things can't be simulated correctly if only a portion of the features can be simulated.

Looking forward to what ED is going to do about the wing breaking business, I can't accept that there is no safety system in place, word has it there is a pretty smart system that deals with it regarding weight etc. Right now it is all down to the pilot between wings on and wings off, i'm sure if this was the case Flankers would be breaking some wings in the real world.

The problem arises when Blue start taking Red bases so they can then use Mirages from these advanced airbases while Red can only use MiG-21 from captured Blue airbases.

I think there is already more than enough load on the server without adding the extra load moving units bring. Maybe limiting to 2 or 3 deployable units per coalition might be a start.

This is online, it is part and parcel of the problems that should be expected. Desync is not common it is just a hiccup that in the grand scheme of things works both ways, you just have to live with it. No point getting worked up over internet issues, they will always be.
-
In an ideal world we'd have a script with all participants listed with numbers corresponding to their names so as characters don't come onto it, only these names are allowed on the server and once a coalitions side reaches 50%(25 players) no more from that coalition can join the server. This would help sort life issue, randoms joining, name changes and player balance.

Surely him turning away from you is an indication of dominating. Now learn how to take advantage of this. Press him, don't let him get his nose on you or better still bate him into a false sense of security so he does turn back, into your next shot. If you get killed doing this then evaluate it on tacview and figure out what you could have done better, eg. you chased him into a valley and lost lock/track, maybe you could have been higher to keep the lock, if you chase him flying low yourself into the valley maybe your instinct and awarness is not up to scratch, another learning curve. Remember the bandit is using all his sensors radar, rwr etc. to figure out where you are and how he is going to get the better of you even when you're chasing him. Yes, it is called BVR for a reason but that doesn't just consist of getting in range, pressing fire and letting the missile do all the work while you sip tea, it wouldn't take much ability if that was the case. Bandits have exactly the same ambitions as you so don't expect them to fly into your missiles for you. Tacview can show you how bandits react to your launches. To maximise your missiles chances you need to adapt tricks, facing up 1v1 the human bandit knows what you're trying to do, this is his bread and butter, so you need to adapt and break that cycle, if you use TWS the bandit reaction time can be slower you can draw them in and fake awarness to increase the surprise, use altitude to rain more energy on them, high altitude when flown effectively can also can keep you out of sight of many low flyers, you can buddy up to draw traps which can catch fixated bandits, but the key element is experience and learning, like I said BVR is not just about pressing fire when in range it takes a great deal of deaths to get comfortable with just one of the many styles of fighting and maximise your missiles effectivness in such situations.

Aircraft aren't designed to be on the ground, they are like a giant weather vanes.

You always bring great news Xcom... could you purchase me a copy please? :balloon:

Sorry for being so lazy in my response but it seems to me the obvious answer is, in a crosswind you apply rudder like every other pilot you see taking off in a straight line is doing. NWS is for low speed, you switch this off when down the runway to gain rudder control.

Turn on the other engine maybe, I dunno just speculating.

MiG-29As was my thought exactly, a good suggestion though they carry ERs these days. As for any concerns about any pro Blue or pro Red, i'm sure the BS team just do their best to make a different event everytime. It is not easy building missions to suit everyone and no matter how you make it there will always be some not happy with the set up. The simple thing is BS created this in their vision and try and make the best of it they can for everybody with no bias intended. There is no such thing as a balanced map or balanced sides when creating such interesting and dynamic missions. Those that think they can do better should set up a server and give it a go and then wait for the s-storm to arrive, because it will come no matter how well you think you can make it. :)

If you uncheck 'F11 free camera allow' in the main DCS options then go to the ME and save the mission, CTRL F11 free camera and F11 airport views will be disabled.

Yes sorry I didn't mention this was quickly addressed during the down time and as for the Mud hen that was an improved design which caused no issues.

A couple of desync issues the last 2 days, one friend got killed by SAM on my chat but he didn't actually get hit himself until a minute later, which was no warning then map screen death. The other instance was a Mirage took multiple missile hits, it was on fire trailing a black cloud after the first hit, after several more hits it was still flying around as though nothing had happened. Both sound like desync though last one could have been down to the Mirages inconel forged body. :D Also I hope you dealt with the team killer appropriately yesterday, we took a 6 ship at Krymsk started the refuelling process as this guy taxied out with no weapons, he took off and made constant low passes over us, also during take off. Finally he formed on our six and began gunning us all, funny stuff for the reader but a total piss take after so much time spent to get in the air.

Structural integrity is a pretty weak area in sims for sure, no pun. In DCS it has only really involved wings or rotors from the Su25, Ka50, A10C, WW2 and Su27. Also it is a bit hit and miss between modules/developers, for example are we sure the real MiG-15 engine is more reliable than the MiG-21 or Flanker as it is in DCS, I doubt it very much. I'm sure you remember that it wasn't too long ago the entire F-15C fleet was on lock down for going over a set Mach because of structural failings in its aging frame, this was brought on by an accident when the whole front end and cockpit of an F-15 detached from the aircraft at 7g. It was found that 40% of the fleet had a non conforming part which was key to holding the airframe together, but only a handful had started to show cracks. Obviously as we all know getting higher and faster is going to get your missiles to perform but I should imagine hitting mach2 is mission dependent, alert intercept yes but any sort of CAP and I suppose they have a long term plan to think about. Being outnumbered might be the switch but for NATO that doesn't happen.

Yes there is trim reset, do this before the merge. :)

I paid for my Happy meal, why am I still not godamn happy Gřrrrrr.

Not off hand but I know I am too heavy and too fast, it is just the effect of being in a hectic war server like the 373, landing at the front, refuelling, taking off and getting engaged from all directions. At the moment of surprise the ingrained instinct is to pull hard to defend, dealing with being heavy and fast in this situation is so hard without any feedback. Normally i'd refuel to 100% but recently i've limited to 70 I may need to reduce this even more.

I'm letting Sukhoi down drastically, defensive breaks' turn into defensive broken. It is going to take some practice getting these panic moments in order, the lack of physical G makes it really tough to gauge how much you're pulling. The S button and brake button are not even needed for this capitulation. Also i've heard that what is missing in DCS is that in the real flanker there is a system that limits stick movement and warns pilot of approaching limits by vibrating the stick at 8Hz.

You deny the blatant contradiction in your earlier statement then. So you expect server owners to vet every client that joins their server for integrity rather than have the option to stop such mods being used by a simple check box. You really haven't got a clue about running a server have you.
-
You call everyone ignorant for stating the very fact you mention above, but you ignore your own statements. Words don't describe the level of craziness in your posts. Do you actually read what you type? Add to that you're here dictating to server owners what they can and can't do with their servers that they/we pay for. It is high time you stopped posting your vitriol and started coughing up and supporting a server that will run without this restriction (as others are doing), instead of falsely claiming to be part of some band of saviours to the community.

I don't know why this gets brought up, input devices all have the same effect on the sim, they don't add to what is already capable with the sim. You get the same turn rate with a keyboard that you do with an expensive joystick, the aircraft in the sim doesn't get any better. There is no have and have not, if you wish to move the aircraft you use an input device, if you wish to look around you use an input device. Adding mods to do extra things not available in the default game is a totally different aspect altogether, you either have this extra feature to your aircraft or not, there is no basic mod that gives you the same features a la keyboard and mouse.
