  1. Maybe try to lower the rpm and manifold pressure a little more? I've just completed this tutorial, and everything went smooth.
  2. Did you install DCS via Steam, or did you download stand alone version from ED website? In stand alone all flight manuals are in [DCS_location]\Mods\Aircrafts\[Module_Name]\Docs. If you didn't change default location, then look in Program Files I'm not sure if the same is with Steam installation, but DCS is probably located in [steam_location]\steamapps\common
  3. Thanks!
  4. There is a challenge campaign... Which seems to me like a driving license test. Three single missions of which one is just a simple take off with Mustang fully loaded and with the crosswind, without any particular task. And of course there are quick launch missions, among them dogfight against godlike Fw-190 pilot, some cargo plane execution, free flight and such...
  5. Well, if you master Huey, I think you can fly pretty much anything ;) I think it's easier, since there are some flying aids like few autopilot channels and stuff, but it requires a bit more attention in certain parts of flying, since Mi-8 is a lot heavier and has more inertia than Huey.
  6. May I have a little request myself? It would be Mustang IV flown by W. Lokuciewski of 303 RAF Squadron near 1946. Unfortunately I'm rather artistically disabled so here's my humble request ;) Here is what uncle google shows after searching for some source material. Thanks in advance.

  8. @Jonay, if you have A-10C, just download newest version of the module, and your key will work with it just fine. You don't need to install old one. As for BS, Lizzard cleared it well enough, so I won't be adding anything else ;)
  9. Title says it all ;) And there's proof attached. This is present since initial release. Cheers!
  10. I'm seeding pretty much whole DCS right now, so if there's a need, please help yourself. One thing that I don't quite get, is why the upgrade and standalone version of blackshark are actually the same files, they even have the same check sum. I'm currently seeding non-upgrade version, but please let me know if you need more seeds, I'll just download that. ;) Cheers!
  11. Well, I got to say, if it wasn't for Huey, my first flight in Mi-8 would definitely end up in a hole in a runway. And now I can pretty well take off and land without even breaking the gear.
  12. It looks like startup procedure is getting closer to real one. Wave mouse coursor on former start engine button and you'll see, that it changed name to correct one. Maybe whole startup changed as well?
  13. I wonder, how it would be possible to play through Elbrus Rescue now ;) Funny thing, when I chose to rearm slick with standard loadout, heli changed to gunship, with flare dispensers, exhaust deflector and stuff ;) Pilot gunsight can be lowered manually, by clicking on it.
  14. Well, I got like 30% of the update, so it seems that I'll be flying tomorrow after work :D
  15. That's why I use torrent :D My current speed varies from 150 kB/s to 700 kB/s ;)
  16. @Rammit, force the update with "Update DCS World" from Programs Menu in Windows or just type "update DCS" while on main screen if you're using Win 8.
  17. I'll just say, that after a brief try, I find your mission very enjoyable, and I'm gonna play it a lot in the future :D
  18. frakkingcylon did you try to start engines both at once or one by one? APU won't take that much load if you try to fire up both engines. There is also small graphical glith, when leaning left or right one can see gap between fuselage and canopy on the sides of front instrument panel.
  19. Here are some footages that I found of UH-1 starting up. It seems that ingame shaking is a bit too much ;)
  20. 24393ft (7435m) from ground level, unfortunately landing didn't went that well ;)
  21. I'm not sure, but I think that unfortunatelly some of the rooftops and other surfaces which are not "earth" do not always have ground effect implemented, so landing on them is rather like high altitude hovering.
  22. I've just reached 43000 ft on virtual aerobatics server, and blower switched at 12000 ft. Scoops full open, 3000 rpm and 47inches of manifold pressure. Climb at no more than 2000ft/min so the airspeed is kept at about 200mph. Engine should not boil or stall. It just takes a while, but it's rewarding ;)
  23. An-26B
  24. Track would be very helpful in understanding your problem. Maybe those movements aren't gentle enough? Or maybe configuration of your controllers causes this behavior? Any details on the type of stick you are using?
