  1. Yup :D Seen them, awsome! I remember when like 20 years ago a polish built MiG-15bis (our Lim-2) was guarding entrance to Military School in my hometown. Actually I can't wait to lay my hands on that module.
  2. Try using Repair DCS World from Windows Menu.
  3. Do you have similar problems with other modules? TF-51D? Su-25T?
  4. Oh man, I completly forgot your thread :D I even took part in it. So it seems like game is telling us to buy more expensive video card? ;) And I can see, that you're using the same graphics chip as I am...
  5. Hi, it's second time this happens to me. Actually it only occurs if I fly Bf 109, but I guess I post it here ;). Since words can't fully describe it, attached are relevant "screenshots", taken with my phone, 'cause prtscreen wouldn't work at that time, and of course all log files that I could collect. Logs.zip
  6. Is there a way to enable "historical" markings, or do I have to paste them to existing liveries myself? Nice one by the way ;) If you press LCTRL+Y twice, then the information bar will disappear.
  7. I think the DCS Mustang is modelled after Miss Velma, an airframe which is currently in possession of Duxford's Fighter Collection Museum. Perhaps even the serial number engraved in cockpit is a real one. One might try to do some research with that clues ;)
  8. Please provide a track with one of your failed attepmts. It will be easier to help if we knew which parts are most challenging for you. I don't own a rudder pedals but somehow I manage to take her off the ground, and I'm rather clumsy ;) I hope you're not forgetting to set prop pitch to auto, and try not to exceed 2500 RPM.
  9. Why not add simple key strike to make it disappear or reappear? Similar to gun camera in MiG-21. It's not very pretty, but it works... And while we're at it, can we have like five flares? Even the pilot has so many of them attached to his leg ;) Why does he have to decide not to use the remaining two?
  10. I guess you need to be very gentle with this one ;) And raising flaps during langing takes so much time, that by the time they are up you'd be propably already at the parking spot ;) Practice, practice...
  11. :D I managed to fly a bit longer before my engie died, however, I failed to extend the langing gear, and unfortunatelly crashed during belly landing.
  12. I think that at the point the P-51D went into fight, the pilots of Fw-190s were so poorly trained, that any advantage given to them by their aircraft were lost because of that... On the other hand, I can see in various citations from many wartime pilots, that they tend to glorify machines, which brought them safely home, or in which they scored most of their victories... So it depends on who you ask.
  13. I had similar experiences as well. But I never tried to use takeoff assistant at P-51 or the Dora. Just keep practicing. It remainds me very much learning to ride a bike, at some point it just clicks, and ther you go ;) Fly Mustang for a while, since it's a bit easier to handle during takeoff.
  14. Flamin Cliffs 1 was a paid add-on with its own serial number, it wasn't actually a patch, but rather a stand alone product, but because of licensing reasons you need to have Lock On installed on your hard drive. Now the thing is, that I suggest getting free DCS World which comes with two flyable aircraft: Su-25T, a bit more complex that original LockOn airframes, and TF-51D - non-combat P-51D version with fully clickable cockpit. If you still prefer aircraft set from LockOn - buy a Flaming Cliffs 3 module, and you'll get much better 3D modelling for most of the aircrafts and a professional level flight models for F-15, Su-27, A-10A and Su-25. For the record, there was LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2 with upgraded graphics when compared to LO:MAC and FC1 ;) But since FC3 doesn't require original LockOn installation I just omited it.
  15. So I guess it would be nice of the devs to add a battery replacement option for ground crew to perform ;) Or do I need to connect groung power, set parking brakes, and leave engine running at 2000 rpm for some time for the battery to get recharged? Anyway, it's a really nice detail which I just experienced during prolonged flight and a need to midair engine start after some unthought maneuvers :D
  16. Oh, that rocking :) I just suggest living with it.
  17. Well, I would say that Su-27 is fairly stable. And for sure a lot more than MiG-21, or even F-15 thanks to wider main wheels separation. I never used afterburner during takeoff, I'm gonna try it an see, if there's any difference.
  18. If you have FC3 installed, then it's aircrafts are not visible as separate icons on DCS World "desktop". If you don't then there should be icons for A-10A, Su-25A and F-15C (grey, if you don't have licenses for them). But since you got FC3 serial number, have it installed, and activated, I assume that icons corresponding to planes from that module disappeared, and are now represented by only one FC3 icon. Edit: if you'd like to do quick check for available aircraft, just go for create quick mission and check aircraft list there...
  19. So... Are we going to have the DCS: Wright Flyer at last or what? :D
  20. Nope, that was a one-timer and only during multi. I wonder if any of then present VA players saw me that way as well.
  21. Here are mine from some time ago, I didn't touch them with photoshop or anything like that ;D
  22. I think the tutorial(s) have damege turned off. When you construct a mission yourself (with mission editor, or quick flight) you'll find, that actually damage model exists, and it's pretty decent. Attached is what happened to me, when I failed to midair engine start. As for the livery - it looks like factory fresh without any livery at all, hence the yellow flaps and stuff... Pilot still in cockpit may be because of turned off damage.
  23. This one's old, but I kinda like it ;) Get in dude!
  24. In my case turning off mirrors in options menu set fps at Mi-8 level, so I think they're both at similar complexity levels.
  25. I had similar problem, and just downloaded installers for missing modules from DCS website. Manual installation fixed the problem.
