Hello Hammer 1-1 Both LGBs and buddy lasing are working. Atleast in the F-16 (Not tried the A-10 and F/A-18 recently, but it also worked there when I tried). Make sure that the one that is lasing is within 8nm distance from the target (slant range), if not it will not work.
-
Hello risali! We have been using it, both ground lased (from a JTAC, in combined arms), and air lased from another F-16, and it works for us. What is important is that the one that is lasing need to be withing 8nm (slant range) from the target it is lasing. If the laser is further away it will not work.

Skynet: An IADS for Mission Builders
NECK replied to flywaldair (Skynet dev.)'s topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Great work! I am really looking forward to test this. I like the feature with powersupply and commandcenters, and beeing able to destroy these makes the IADS to autonomous mode. Thanks! -
Do you have the A10 with presets on the NTTR mission? We have experienced that when we have presets set for the A10, then the same will be set for the F-16, regardless of what we put into the individual F-16 in the mission editor.

Great work Pikes and the rest of the MOOSE team! The DCS community is forever grateful for the hard work you guys are putting down in this!

Currently I can place other aircrafts that I do not own or fly, and I do not have a need to test them, I can not see how it would be different with the supercarrier? Is there really a large push from people that makes missions but dont own modules who suggest to get access to them to test while making missions? I think the argument is good and valid, and you that you disagree with it. But I have a hard time to see how the issues raised here are a good argument.

I fully support Snoopy on this one, and I am in the same situation for the 132nd Virtual Wing, where we have both a F/A-18C and a F-14B Squadron, where I build many of the wings missions (but do not fly the F/A-18C or the F-14B, and thus personly, I am not in the need for the carrier). I think ED should facilitate and support creating missions so pilots have a good way to spend their time within DCS , instead of making it harder to create good content for the communities out there.

Hello Moonshot! The best way to get into MP is to join a squadron or wing with others that fly in MP. Based on what you fly, where you are located and what kind of experience you want to get out of DCS MP, you should find a squadron that suits you. There is many squadrons out there that are good at teaching and helping new pilots get into MP. You should take a look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=649 or here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=665 SRS is a program for realistic use of the radios, information can be found in this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169387

Hello! Rkusa have made this possible, but you need to do some work to set it up. It works both in SP and in MP. You will need need SRS to make it work. Have a look here: https://github.com/rkusa/DATIS I also think Moose have a ATIS functionality, but I have not tried that yet.

The 388th Virtual Fighter Squadron of the 132nd Virtual Wing is now recruiting. We are looking for pilots flying the F-16C. Pilots that apply should be experienced flying and operating the F-16C, as our training program is designed to teach you how to fly, fight and operate as a flight in a MP environment. High level of the mandatory flights with an Instructor Pilot (IP) during Initial Qualification Training (IQT) and Mission Qualification Training (MQT): Flight 1: 132nd Comms and ATC and airbase operations. Getting proficient handling comms with GND, TWR , Approach and AWACS. Flight 2: Tactical formations and turns Flight 3: 1vs1 WVR Basics Flight 4: 2vs2 BVR Basics Flight 5: SAT 1 Basics (Surface Attack Tactics) Flight 6: MQT checkout. Combining what you have learned in a simulated combat mission to show proficiency as a wingman on 132nd events. After IQT and MQT then pilots will move on to various topics in Continuation Training to gain additional proficiency. During all phases there is a heavy emphasis on self-qualification lessons, so new pilots will need to be able, diciplined and motivated to conduct training on their own to make sure to progress in accordance with the training program. About us: The 132nd are a mature group of laidback guys with a strong passion for military aviation. The 132nd was first established in 2013, so we have been around for a while. We are in the EURO zone and for timings and connection issues, we are primarly interested in pilots in this region. We conduct training events Wednesdays at 1800Z (2000 CET) and Sundays at the same time we conduct either a combat event, or normal or advanced training. We mostly fly PvE, but are often combining that with human aggressors flying Red Air to augment the AI. We also conduct a range of combined events with various organizations here in DCS to add the immersion for our combat and training events by bringing other virtual squadrons in to fly at the same time. Before applying: Before you consider applying, check that the following description fits you: - You know how to fly and operate the F-16C, including aerial refueling. - You are able to attend events wednesdays and sundays at 1800Z / 2000 CET. - You enjoy "slow paced" gameplay, where focus is on learning and becoming proficient in the aircraft to get the most out of this simulator, rather than fast paced kills on a PvP server. - You enjoy immersive and realistic missions. - You own the PG map. If this sounds interesting, please apply on the 132nd Virtual Wing website: http://132virtualwing.org/index.php/page/recruiting If you have any questions, please post it here in this thread, or send me a PM.

494th Virtual Fighter Squadron (F/A-18C) Looking for 2 new pilots
NECK replied to NECK's topic in Squadron News
Recruitment is now closed. Selected trainees have been contacted by PM. Thank you for the interest. -
Hello! I am happy to announce that the 132nd Virtual Wing will be opening for class 5 in the 494th flying the F/A-18C Hornet. For this new class we will only accept 2 new trainees. The class is so small because of the very limited IP availebility, and we are not able to get more pilots through the training. Mandatory training flights High level of the mandatory flights with an IP during IQT and MQT: Flight 1: Basic flight with an IP: showing capability for precision flying and doing AAR. Flight 2: 132nd Comms and ATC and airbase operations. Getting proficient handling comms with GND, TWR , Approach and AWACS. Flight 3: Tactical formations and turns Flight 4: 1vs1 WVR Basics Flight 5: 2vs2 BVR Basics Flight 6: SAT 1 Basics (Surface Attack Tactics) Flight 7: MQT checkout. Criterias for selecting trainees Because of it beeing such a small class of trainees, we are very selective on who we will choose to start up training. We have three criterias that is of outmost importance, which all will be taken into consideration when selecting 1. Activity. What are your activity levels, and are you planning to stay active 2. IP potential (Instructor Pilot). We are in high demand of IP's, and thus pilots that are skilled, and is interested in taking on the extra burden of teaching others will be prioritized- 3. Contributions to the squadron/wing. Running a wing and a squadron require a lot of work behind the scenes. Either through making missions, making briefs, maintaining a website, creating movies, creating documentation etc. Pilots that are interested in helping will be prioritized. Questions for applicants We have decided on the following questions, which I want applicants to be honest and give their best assessment of the following questions. This so we can select the best candidates to start training. 1. What is your current skill level in the F/A-18C? 2. What is your availebility to conduct trainings on Wednesdays and Sundays the next month (1800Z-2000Z? 3. What is your availebility to conduct trainings on other days than Wednesdays and Sundays to get a more rapid pace through the training program (Pending IP availebility) 4. How do you fit in in accordance with the 3 criterias of activity, IP potential and contributions to the wing/squadron? 5. Why should we pick you as one of next pilots in the class of 494th? 6. When are you availeble to start training? 7. Why do you want to join the 494th 8. What do you think about flying 6 training flights per each combat mission? Answer your questions in a email , PM on ED forums or Discord to 132nd.Neck Feel free to ask any questions here or on PM's.
