  1. Good choice. I like the VKB gimbal even better than the WarBrd gimbal and in my experience, VKB has had a lot less QA issues with their products. Your mileage may vary. I use both companies due to the different grips.
  2. So I guess CM2 owners are just dealing with it? I've read multiple reports of this but none saying that they don't have the issue. I just with they would do a WarBrd version with a shorter throw for center mount scenarios. Unevenness on the axis' would drive me insane.
  3. I've also seen a couple of reports of the replacement cams still not addressing the variances in resistance for the x/y access on the CM2 base. I'm not sure if that problem is widespread or if people have just been dealing with it or working around it somehow.
  4. Are those reasons due to QA problems with Virpil? Just curious. I like their products but their QA and constant revisions due to fixing poor design flaws, not mere feature improvements, gets tiring at times.
  5. Is the trim wheel an actual axis or a rotary encoder? I would expect it to be an axis but read somewhere on Discord that it was a rotary encoder which wouldn't make sense.
  6. A cheap tablet and Touch Portal app might do the trick for you. Works with phones as well but that would be a small display.
  7. OK, yeah, I am soooo buying this. I don't need to know anymore. Great news!
  8. I like the MFGs the best because they have the most adjustability in a lot of different ways of the pedal offerings out there. There isn't a best out there though because it's just an opinion and depends in what one is looking for in terms of design and function.
  9. My gut feeling is Virpil will be at a price point that is going to rip Komodo a new one along with better quality and more features. The big question will be any early growing pains from a new design for Virpil I understand it's a niche market, but Komodo has always been on crack for selling a base at $600 and a separate controller at $600 when the parts quality is not that great to truly be in line with those prices. When you are exceeding a grand, it's no longer time to be using 3D printed hats. I would rather spend an extra $50 per hat to get a quality one than a 3D printed one. At its heart, 3D printing is an awesome technology, but I feel it is being abused too much over quality due to its convenience. Or I should say, some manufacturers are using low or mid-range 3D printers instead of shelling out for the ones that can do it right (if they even exist right now).
  10. I like using a large touchpad behind the throttle in VR. You control the pointer with your finger (obviously) and it's intuitive to rotate the dials by slowly swiping up or down to rotate the in game cockpit dials as well as single taps to manipulate buttons in the in-game cockpit. I found a trackball a little too awkward and I suck at using a mouse left-handed so the touchpad works well.
  11. Hm, I haven't seen that behavior, but unfortunately I don't have any good suggestions either. I had the Rift S last year, the Index this year and now the G2 and it's been smooth sailing so far across multiple genres sitting or standing. I'm running a 2080ti right now but will be upgrading once I see the real world benchmarks of AMD's highest end offering and the Nvidia 3080ti when it comes out.
  12. I haven't used it a lot yet, but used it enough to check out IL2, DCS and racing sims and it was enough that I have passed my Valve Index off to a family member because I couldn't go back to it. The Reverb G2 is so much clearer than the Index. Right now I am just going through the rest of my VR library to see if any have any glitches. Gone through a little over 20 so far and so far, so good.
  13. OK, so "Apart from being an A-10C replica, there is nothing about the WH throttle that is as good as the CM2." was an opinion, not a fact. I just wanted to clarify. :) I would like to see the love child of a CM2 (number of "on throttle" handle functions), Warthog (swappable detents), WinWing (long throw and swappable throttles) and upcoming VKB throttle (whatever new item they bring to the table). It would probably be a $1500 throttle but damn cool. The probable CM2 revision with the detents may have to suffice though although I am not a fan of the finger lifts. I wouldn't mind of they got rid of the awful yellow and black warning striping as well for a more clean look.
  14. I didn't know you could adjust the throttle friction without opening the CM2 or that you could swap out the detents for different types of detents on the CM2. Great news!
  15. That will work. Good job. Boomer Sooner!
  16. I can easily flip between either with no issues or beefs about it as they both have their merits but to each their own. Pretty much the same reasons as imacken above.
  17. 2020 a great year? I like your positivity! :) Many would consider this year a shhhh....show.
  18. Overpriced compared to what other USB button box?
  19. Fair enough. I was one of the first 5 backers so we'll see how it turns out. I'm kind of a aesthetics person also so it matches up with the Warthog throttle well along with the backlist green keyboards, hard drive fans, etc. that I have. :) I rarely Kickstart though, but haven't busted yet, so here's hoping. The only other Kickstarter I did this year was the Pero device by Palmcat. I have no idea how that will turn out, but it was just over a 100 US and it looked kind of interesting.
  20. There are button boxes that cost twice as much with less functionality. And what button box out there has a better layout and more diverse types of button and encoder options at any cost?
  21. I wonder if the bitcoin mining nightmare will occur again like in what was it, late 2017? That's why I want to grab a 3090 as soon as possible if at all possible, but I won't buy one from a scalper. They can DIAF and to be clear, I actually do mean that. :-) They're scum of the Earth.
  22. 99% chance you lose the battle to the bots. Our only hope is the 3090s are too rich for the POS scalpers blood, but those losers probably just run up credit card debt on multiple cards. After seeing the 3080 benchmarks, there just isn't enough there over the 2080ti for my liking so I am going to go the 3090 route as I think that will give it just enough of a bump to be worth it, especially with the VRAM amount since I do run in 4K.
  23. The whole thing is strange. I'm in the US and I ordered one a few months ago and it was a completely seamless transaction, yet they royally screw the people that allowed them to get off the ground in the first place that ordered early on. It's actually a very well done product, but it sounds they lack business sense among other things.
  24. I was hoping it would be ready sooner as well assuming it gets funded but the wait is worth it to me because I haven't seen a better button box layout imo. Plus it's not common to get that many dials that are axis as opposed to rotary encoders although it has a couple of those as well I believe.
  25. I got in on the super early bird special and it's already bye-bye for that category.
