Just updated to STABLE version 2.5.4.30386 Internal sound is now OK, but from the outside, the MIG 21 sounds like a Boeing 787.... And yes at any sound level / setting.

Definitely NOT buying fictional maps. Absurd, in a realistic simulation which is DCS.

And here another one... Using F-18, A-10C, Mirage, all the WWII's, MIG-21, Sabre in this order. Catching dust: MIG-15, 4 helos, Viggen, C-101, L-39, F-5, SU-25 A, SU-27,F-15. Gladly, I see that slowly but steadily the devs and ED put the money to good use.

I get this sometimes, but inside the cockpit. The textures missing are the frame of the mirror. A quick restart of DCS solves this too, but annoying anyway.

All this developments are great, but very diminished if the stuttering of Normandy (and Normandy only) is not corrected.

Yes, the winter textures would be nice, but the main thing is the stuttering...

Summer textures and area coverage are fine... If only it would not stutter....

And that is not all. Under the VERY SAME CONDITIONS, stutters appear in the Normandy map, especially when Flying close to the ground, whereas on ALL THE OTHER MAPS, under the VERY SAME CONDITIONS, stutters DO NOT appear and flights are completely fluid.

Stupid question: Do you guys open fully the cowl flaps?

Well, thank you very much for your help, but as I wrote before, is it not the on purpose of the DCS stable version that this things do not happen? Let's hope they transfer the corrections you pointed out to the stable version soon, and hopefully stop damaging the good things wich were perfectly ok, as has happened with both the MIG 21 AND the A-10 sounds.

Especially the external sounds of the MIG-21 were quite bad, as seen in many posts in this forum, but now not even missiles or especially the gun is to be heard from inside the cockpit, after the last update stable. Also from the outside, the MIG 21 sounds like a Boeing 787.... I thought only the A-10 sounds were damaged, and on purpose I stay in the DCS stable version so that this things do not happen....

Agree completely, but it has been incredibly bad as you point out for years, and nothing seems to happen to improve it.
