  1. I realize that. Are you suggesting that what I posted does not apply to both VR and Monitors?
  2. Everybody speaks about higher FPS, but what about the most important thing, fluid fly without stutters? I am pretty sure after days of testing, that the main reason for stutters is that some situations / terrains jump from 20 to 50 FPS or more all the time. Either 30 or if possible 60 stable and constant, only this guarantees fluidity. (for a 60 Hertz monitor). https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216729
  3. No offense here, and of course I unsubscribed from this thread, but it keeps popping up in the "new posts" which I look every day. DCS runs on a windows PC, period.
  4. Forgot the settings...
  5. Well, I had no luck with any of the Nvidia V-sync settings. The best I have come up, after literally days of testing, (I am retired and single), is Nvidia default and the settings you see in the included screenshot. With this settings I get 85% of the time solid 30 FPS, though unfortunately only in Caucasus and Persian Gulf. In Nevada and much worse in Normandy, with the exact same settings, the frame rate jumps from 25 to 60 all the time, creating so much stutters, as to make this last two maps in my opinion unusable.

  7. Well, I also have a 1070 GTX, But... if some situations / terrains jump from 20 to 50 FPS all the time, even with a 1180 we will going to have stutters.. Either 30 or if possible 60 stable, this guarantees fluidity. (for a 60 Hertz monitor). https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216729
  8. I can't believe this thread is still active. DCS on a mac.... NEVER going to work properly! DCS runs on windows, period.
  9. My rig is not capable of that, but if I would get CONSTANT 30 FPS in ALL maps I'd be more than happy. For some reason, Nevada and Normandy keep on jumping 25-50, never keeping the 30 FPS which are in my opinion fluid.
  10. Wel, All of the other planes, with the exception of the BF-109, have the raindrops...... Also since the last update, the external nose illumination which did not work properly, and formation lights have disappeared. The A-10C is not getting some love.
  11. Alt-Enter does not help... You might be interested to have a look at my posts at the end of this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216729
  12. I forgot: Setting in the autoexec.cfg: options.graphics.maxfps = 30 Gives 24-25 FPS and not 30. I have tried higher and lower settings, but with this parameter it seems not possible to achieve stable 30 FPS.
  13. Well, this is a very interesting notion with the 30 Hertz / 30 FPS, thank you Sinky for pointing it out. I have spent the best part of last week fiddling with that, and thought, as there is a parameter to be included in the autoexec.cfg: options.graphics.maxfps = 30 there might be also one: options.graphics.minfps = 30 This in order to achieve a stable 30 FPS, which guarantees a quite smooth and fluid ride. I spent many hours testing that in all 4 terrains, and it seemed to work, constant 30 FPS everywhere. But all of a sudden for some reason it stopped working. After a couple of days of further testing, I have come up with the settings depicted in the included screenshot. These settings guarantee 90% of the time (disclaimer, at least with my rig), stable and therefore smooth and fluid 30 FPS in both cockpit and external views, fly-by being a bit stuttery. Unfortunately, this works only 90% of the time with Caucasus and the Persian Gulf. In Nevada, end even worse in Normandy, the FPS jump from 25 - 30 to 50 - 60 all the time, in both cockpit and external views, causing the dreaded stutters. Any further ideas?
  14. I completely agree. 'bout time....
  15. Could not agree more. I am also tired of using half done maps, planes and objects while awaiting the promise from ED or developers to complete them. Paying customers serving as beta-testers.

    Canopy reflections

Not as bad as that here, but that canopy and HUD deserves URGENT attention from RAZBAM... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=215305
  17. Pointless to say the least... It's 2018....
  18. What can I say.. Again: AGREE AGREE AGREE!:thumbup::thumbup: The question is.. does ED agree? :bored:
  19. Absolutely agee!
  20. Of course, both of them.... Just have a look at the difference between the BF-1'9 and the FW-190. There are at least twice as bright.
  21. And moreover, the fluorescent lights of the instruments of the BF-109 are too dark, not nearly as bright as those of the FW-190, which seems OK to me.
  22. And: Flashing position lights far too bright in several planes. On the contrary, several plane landing lights are far too dark, seen from the cockpit. (Not a gamma - related issue, I have tried different gamma settings). A-10 C formation / nose illumination in its highest setting is lighting up the cockpit as if you’d place powerful lamp inside of the cockpit itself, and oddly, the nose illumination itself is barely visible from outside. The fluorescent lights of the instruments of the BF-109 are too dark, not nearly as bright as those of the FW-190, which seems OK.
  23. You said it... In the official dcs promotional material you won't find any night scenes... I believe that's because all the maps are "unrealistically dim", and this begs to be corrected! It suffice to have a look at the images posted by MonnieRock to realize this.

  25. I completely agree. Also the runway lights are too dark. :(
