  1. Hi SUNSTAG, thanks... yes of course, stupid of me.. Just like the AAA Kdo.G.40 required for the Nazi flak to shoot. A bit confusing though that all the other AAA (non flak), like the Bofors etc do not require addition units to work, both on the allied and the nazi side..
  2. Thanks Flappie, Noted.... Though the problem remains, namely, US and UK QF 3.7 AA Guns are still not firing, even on stable 2.8. I am merely bringing the attention to this bug.
  3. This problem, for some inexplicable reason closed in this thread: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/291016-qf-37-aa-gun-not-firing-since-27816140/ is still very much present in the latest stable 2.8 version of DCS world.........
  4. Indeed... Thanks for the heads up and Thanks ED!
  5. ED? Hello? Anybody there? Why has the template not yet released? The external model of the gorgeous KA - 50 III seems perfect to me......
  6. Prior to stable 2.8 on the box in the upper right of the cockpit did appear the message “shoot”, and it would blink when the target plane would be in “non escape” range. The message “shoot” would also appear on the HUD if I remember correctly. Now it is not any more so, no matter what the situation is or how big, far or near the target plane is. Why? Also, the A-A radar looses the lock of the target plane quite often, no matter what the situation is or how big, far or near the target plane is.
  7. We await this eagerly indeed!
  8. Not a lone man striding from the shadows nor in a long duster and black hat, but yes, stating the obvious.....
  9. Well, thank you very much INDEED ED! VERY Nice to have this update in time for the holydays! Most probably this was already planned, but nevertheless there is a slight possibility that my thread had some influence.......
  10. It may well be that " this current 2.8.1.34437 OB is far away to be a "stable RC" but.. what about the one before that? and the one before? Why don't download openbeta? Well, I fear it will make a mess with my settings.
  11. Exactly my point. In red there are no more than 40 days listed. But we have not had a stable update since the beginning of October. .... That makes what... Nearly 90 days?...!
  12. Just don't understand why they post up to 3 open betas before updating the stable. Wouldn't it be possible to update the stable to the first of those open betas? And BTW, the stable also has bugs..... I was really hoping to get the KA-50 3, which I already bought, and test the 2.8 during the Christmas holydays...
  13. Yesterday,17.12.2022 yet another update to DCS 2.8 Open Beta. But the last update of the stable version was issued at the beginning of October.. Has ED completely forgotten us, users of the stable version?
  14. Well, Frederf thank you very much indeed for your help! Now it works. In short, the big difference between before and after stable update 2.7.16.28157, is that one has to be much more precise and have the ASL and FPM exactly aligned laterally to ensure release with all bombs. But something is indeed odd... First of all, the F-18 and the A-10 don't require such a precise behaviour with the very same bombs, and secondly why does the message "release angle" appear if one does not want to perform a tossing bomb release? Also I have noticed that the gps-guided GBU's 38 don't require such precision, but the laser-guided GBU's 12 do? Very odd indeed...
  15. Well, thank you very much for your track, I see... Now I have somehow managed to release the GBU's 12, but not the CBU's-97. Before the last stable update 2.7.16.28157 one would keep the pickle button pressed about 10 seconds before release, and when the cue descended, (0 sec), ANY CCRP bomb would automatically release. Now the cue moves , and the seconds to release count down as before, but a circle appears flashing, one has to press the picke button exactly when that circle flashes or what?
  16. Well, thanks to your replies, but I don't get it... How do I release GBU's or CBU's in CCRP as it was usual before last stable update 2.7.16.28157?
  17. Since last stable update 2.7.16.28157 I am not able to release GBU's 12 or 10's in CCRP. A message appears on the MCDU "release angle 45" I have tried with different angle settings to no avail. And yes, I am aware of the Wags video on toss bombing but that one refers to CBU's....
  18. Indeed... And even more so, because the bug was introduced with the Stable update DCS 2.7.9.18080. Before that, I had performed countless missions in whose one had to engage AA TACAN mode in order to tune the Tanker or other airborne units.....
  19. And so it does on the last stable version.....
  20. Just sayin.... This was not corrected in todays update to DCS 2.7.10.19473 Stable version.
  21. OK, Indeed, so it works, the "attack unit"/"attack group" order is now on the WAYPOINT 1 and not on the Ju-88 itself, without waypoints. My confusion was caused by the fact that formerly with simply the command "attack unit", without waypoints, it used to work. Still it seems to me not logical, even a bug, that the ME allows to add the command "attack unit"/"attack group" to a Ju-88 with TORPEDOES, without adding a waypoint, but resulting in NO attack to said unit, but only circling or RTB... Even more so, because if one makes a BOMBING mission, with no waypoints whatsoever, as the one attached, the JU-88 does what is supposed to do, as specified in the ME, namely bomb..... Test-Ju88-Bombing-no-Waypoint.miz
  22. Ah, well, thank you very much, you have added a waypoint with the command "search and then engage in zone".. And so it works. Though I am sure that I made such a mission some monts ago, before updating to the STABLE version DCS 2.7.9.18080, or even a version before that, with simply the command "attack unit" and it used to work. I would expect that adding the command "attack unit" in the ME would result in an attack to said unit, seems logical, especially when the JU-88 is carrying torpedos and the unit is a ship, don't you think? ..... ED, any comments?
  23. Hello? Anybody? ED?
  24. How far do you suggest it should be? I have moved it as far as almost the coast of Normandy, it still turns in circles without attacking. I even made another .miz from scratch in the Normandy map, here the airdromes are neutral, so the JU-88 does not attack, and simply lands on one of them. Miz and screenshots included. Would you be so kind and include your tweaked mission in which the 88´s attack with their torpedoes and go RTB to designated aerodrome? Test-Ju88-Torpedoes.miz Test-Ju88-Torpedoes-N.miz
  25. Since last update to STABLE version DCS 2.7.9.18080, or maybe even before, the JU-88 will not engage allied ships with torpedoes. I have tried with existing missions, new missions, all the airfields in blue, etc. Either the Ju-88 circles around the allied ship until its fuel runs out, without launching the torpedoes, or it lands at an airfield also without launching the torpedoes. This used to work perfectly the last time I tried it, some months ago. Bombing missions are OK, both against allied ships or land targets. Am I doing something wrong? (.miz included). If I am not doing something wrong, then ED, may I ask what is happening, as there is also this issue: https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/291016-qf-37-aa-gun-not-firing-since-27816140/#comment-4868477 (QF 3.7 AA Gun not firing since 2.7.8.16140), also something I have experienced with said STABLE version DCS 2.7.9.18080... Please advise. Test-Ju88-Torpedoes.miz
