  1. If the server chooses to host a mission with low or medium scenes enforced in the mission editor then the clients will only see a limited number of trees and buildings.
  2. It's just time for a fresh carrot.
  3. Of course you know that now that you have stated "I've got tons of hours already invested in unfinished missions and CAS-related scripts built for the A-10 that I'd love to finish up" Hawg pilots around the globe will be expecting things. BIG things.:bounce:
  4. For those that may be looking for various sound effects to use in mission creation you can get a sound package HERE.
  5. I thought that THIS was intended to do that.
  6. These days it takes 3 2000 pounders to kill an ammo depot.
  7. Replaced slmod commands/F10 commands with a voting system for preferences. Settings are set whenever any client is "On Station" at which point voting is disabled. If all players go "Off Station" voting gets re-enabled. Voting can be outright disabled along with the default settings within the embedded OSC.lua file within the mission if you want. What exactly does it mean to be On or Off Station? By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :yay:
  8. A server machine doesn't require a GPU now so I don't see any reason that would change for 1.5. I run a server that has a GT 630 but have 3D rendering diabled because it is not needed to host a mission.
  9. 38T/KN 57100 38428 are coords map grid GH44
  10. The only way that all members of a MP mission will see the custom skins is if each member has the liveries folder installed on their PC and the skin has been selected in the ME by the MP host.
  11. OK thanks, I guess I'll have to wait until the open beta update becomes available to test it.
  12. Can you tell me step by step how to get the OB installer to convert my main installation to the OB?
  13. If you plan on flying multiplayer missions IMO the first thing you will need is Teamspeak (64 bit client). It's free and easy to set up provided you have a headset with a mic. There is a website called SimHQ that has their own Teamspeak server where folks get together and fly multiplayer missions. You can see how to register with SimHQ HERE. Once you get set up go to the SimHQ Teamspeak server and just jump in if you see someone there. It's a friendly group of casual flyers that will be glad to answer questions and help you get started. If the Huey is the only aircraft you fly then you will have to join missions that are designed to use it as a part of the tasking. The Hollo Pointe server has many missions that include the Huey and they also have a dedicated Teamspeak channel on SimHQ that you can see HERE. Maybe this will help get the ball rolling. Cheers
  14. ED categorizes Start Procedure (Autostart) for the A-10C a cheat in the options/control menu even though it is available to everyone so I meant it within that context.
  15. Since becoming aware of this new feature I have wondered which option will the closest to representing realism and if "Enlarged" might be considered a cheat. I suppose only a RL pilot would know for sure.
  16. Thanks for posting your results. This is how the community gains valuable info for future problem solving.
  17. This is a long shot but you may want to try going to your AppData/Local folder and deleting the Smart Technology folder.
  18. The only thing I can suggest is a possible solution that can be seen HERE as a means of completely purging your system of all things Saitek before re-installing.
  19. I am going to assume that you are activating the Saitek profile you have created before you start a mission. There is one thing I learned by accident and that is when ever you edit your profile and save it, you then must de-activate and re-activate the profile before the changes will take effect. I hope that helps.
  20. You may have to enter the 37T or 38T map grid as well. Sometimes it's required and sometimes not.
  21. Be careful what you ask for....you just might get it.:music_whistling: How much for the old pedals?
  22. The correct http address for reference should be THIS for Gridiron.
  23. Here's one example that I believe will be the same each time. If you look at the tracks at the Nalchick city limits (38T/LP9312718562) at 9 minutes past the hour you should see a freight train heading NE towards Nartkala. It arrives at the Nartkala city limits at about 21 minutes past the hour. (Too much time on my hands)
  24. Try looking at pages 457 and 458 of the flight manual and you will see how to change the elevation of the waypoint in the CDU.
  25. As I recall from having similar mission ideas, if you take off from Nalchick and follow the tracks from the airfield towards the city of Nartkala you will see a train in motion. Just make note of where it is a s specific time on the clock and it will always be there at the same time from mission start time regardless of what the mission start time is. I doubt that there is any way to control trains. You can however stop a train by setting explosives on a bridge ahead or having artillery attack it on route.
