The way I see it, the only way to accomplish the goal is to select areas on the map that would vary in elevation enough to produce the desired results before the mission was created.

If you start a mission at an airfield with a high elevation (Beslan) and fly towards an AO with a much lower elevation (Mozdok) the fog level will be zero at Beslan but develop and increase as you approached Mozdok. Wouldn't that create the effect you are looking for? Example miz attached. fog.miz

For starters try renaming your Saved games DCS folder to DCS1. Enter a mission in single player to create a new saved games folder and then try to enter a MP server.

Excellent mission Chris. I hosted it today on the MP server and a good time was had by all. Thanks for your efforts. Good MP missions are hard to find these days.:thumbup:

As far as radio commands are concerned it's a simple matter of speaking a word or words that trigger one of the F keys. One way the radio channels could be accessed via voice commands in the A-10C pit might be by programing radio preset channels and then using VA to activate either preset channel increase or decrease.

Create a DCS folder in the location of your choice and download all 6 bin files as well as the exe file located HERE into that folder. Then double click the exe file to install. You will then have 2 desktop icons available to start the program.

Considering that your post has only had 97 views I suspect that the lack of response is the result of the post heading. I ignored it for days and finally clicked on it out of boredom. You may want to try again in the chit chat forum with a different heading that is more to the point.....just sayin' :music_whistling:

Here's a possible look using fog settings. Adjust the visibility and thickness to your liking.

Try going to Saved games/DCS and renaming the DCS folder to DCS1. Fly a mission and see if that fixes it.

What I have noticed in myself and others is when we see the screenshots and videos the excitement quickly turns to disappointment and frustration when we realize that we have to wait an unknown period of time to actually experience it. For me this has also diminished my ability to continue to enjoy DCS World as it is now. I think we would all have been happier if we didn't even know that DCS2 was coming. Reminds me of an old saying....."be careful what you ask for, you just might get it":book:

Go to your Saved Gamed/DCS/config folder and delete the VIEW folder. Fly a mission and all defaults should be restored. You may have to re-do snap views if you have them saved.

If you create a profile for the gbu12(pages 554 and 555 in manual), during that process you will select ccrp, turn autolase on, set timer and then save. When you want to use the gbu12 you would first select the dsms page (OSB14) then the profile page (OSB1) page 510) select the gbu 12 and hit activate profile. (OSB 17). When you select the weapon from the dsms page alone it will load in default mode without the profile you have set up.

No disrespect intended but be sure you are selecting the gbu12s from the profile page and not the dsms page.

Try OSB 7, change to BTH and increase autolase time to 15 secs. My GBU12s hit target 99.9% of the time with these settings.
