  1. You must swap axis in the FF Tune options (for each aircraft).
  2. Interchangeble panels.... I didn't say anything... :) (Resistance is Futile!)
  3. In my TV i adjust the overscan to fit the screen size but the resolution does not change. Make sure also change the TV to "Just Scan" on the aspect ratio selection, this should be done before, because you are likely to have to adjust the overscan after. Also are you using HDMI connection? I have to use a DVI to HDMI in order to be able to use both screens.
  4. Why do you have to remove overscan?
  5. Awesome work on the collective. I may copy it one day! ;) May I sugest mounting the Intrument panel lower? That way you can also lower the projector visuals. In the real aircraft you would be looking ahead not up.
  6. Maybe, but Target only works with some TM hardware, you can dim your throttle from any of those devices (eg, Cougar, MFDs, T1600) I don't know if you could hack it so that you could use a costum built device, you could however do a hardware hack to any of those devices to create your own. But I think he intends to dim not only the WH backlighting but his entire cockpit consoles to be controled from his lighting panel, and that's the same cockpit knob, so to make the same knob to control hardware and softwate (wich will in turn control hardware too) may be more trouble than it's worth, I'd go for the WH hacking.
  7. Is it a HDReady TV? I'm Using a 32'' FullHD led myself (on my desk), plus a 21" touchsceen, in a similar configuration, it's freaking awesome. I sure wish I had the space to build a cockpit though.
  8. I like it.
  9. use easy monitor configuratorm it really works great and it's easy as pie. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71831
  10. I'm sure it's just a mater of wiring the lighting to your panel and you may have to add a resistor circuit conneted to the warthog to replace the leds.
  11. You can probably use the files from Gadroc, may need some adjustments, but should give you a starting point.
  12. Roger! New models welcome! ;) (even if they take a while)
  13. I don't know if this has been reported before, but I found a bug in the MIG-29A flaps, the right wing flap is asymmetrical and doesn't lower as much as the left wing one. Another thing but I'm not sure if it's a bug, the Mig-29S flaps appear to not lower as much as the flaps on the Mig-29G and the left wing flap on the Mig-29A.
  14. Altough it's most likely not a glitch or something that was forgoten, but rather more likely something not implemented for the time beeing (I wouln't mind much if it wasn't because the Mi-8 is great already). But still I'll highjack the tread a bit, to take advantage of the screenshot and point out that the jump seat where the flight engenier sits is missing, as well as the circular window on the door behind him, wich can be seen in the exterior model both from the front and the rear with the clamshell doors open. On topic havent noticed the glitch mentioned, will try to look for it later today.
  15. Very helpfull videos. However in this one your description of the HSI usage is generaly correct but it's function it's not. I'll try to explain later.
  16. Why the startup screen? The only thing the icons do there is show the aircraft you have installed and a way to change the wall paper. You can't fly with the icons... no point IMUO.
  17. Thank you both, that is more information than before. Still it would be nice to have someone from ED to give a statement on this.
  18. Roadrabbit, that doesn't really answeer it but you can probably help me understand this. Since you are a pilot you know that airfields have their runway designators referenced on the magnetic heading. Take Kobuleti as an example, with a magnetic heading of 064º, that makes the closest decimal aproximtion 06, therefore if it was an airfield that follows ICAO rules (I don't know what rules ICAO follows, but im sure military interests are above those) the runway would infact have the designator 06, however, and this can be changed as the magnetic north changes, airfields change it's runways designors. However Kobuleti in game is 07 references by it's true north heading. As far as I know IRL kobuleti is indeed 07. So the question is the same, do they follow diferent rules for referencing airfields in Russia and other former eastern block nations.
  19. Even though some switches on the A-10A cockpit are animated or are in the correct position for operation others are not. So don't take the switches position in the cockpit for indication.
  20. About the gun drum it's actually very well armored as a single hit from an explosive round that penetrates it has the potential to turn the A-10 into a big ball of fire. You are correct about the angle part and you can factor in the fact that because of the aircrafts forward motion projectiles that do hit it will have been aimed with lead and thus hitting the underside at a greater angle even that if the plane was stationary in the sky. I still think that the cannon gets damaged too often when compared with other systems in the area that could also be hit.
  21. Yes I know about the charts. What I am asking is if eastern airfields (IRL), unlike western aifields, are referenced for True north. Because if they are not they are in DCS.
  22. Usefull for TIR users we can allways change TIR bindings, but this is a nice option.
  23. His question is not about the right tactics. But to question if the gun is too vulnerable as it's presently modeled. I belive it is, as it gets damaged (inoperative) when beeing hit from the front 80-90% of the time. It's like the SU-25 or 25T execive proness to lose the wntire nose on the slightest hit. It's like no other damage is possible. Hit from the front, there goes the nose. Or the gun in the case of the A-10.
  24. It's probably out of waranty. Why don't you try to check it yourself. Check for pinched or unsoldered wires first.
  25. Did a ILS landing with the A yesterday it was working fine. Better than the C actually where aparently the director bars behavior are not correct for ILS at least. Usesable but not correct.
