  1. model enlargement was adjusted in the open beta...its definitely better there...but you are right....charts and how effective an aircraft is in a simulation can be entirely two different things.

  4. mh no...to my knowledge and if memory serves me right, in cliffs of dover there is the Bf-109E-4 :)...but i would love a Friedrich and on DCS level.

  8. gavagai did they explicitly say that about the 109 or ffb in general? cause meanwhile in the 190 its fixed, while in the 109 we are still lacking buffeting effects.
  9. for quite some time now, in the 109 while blacking out, the pilot will still manipulate trim, flaps and prop-pitch control, given that you fly it manually. hope this will be fixed in future.
  10. i am just hoping that normandy is really on track and will be released this year. i dont really mind whether its in 1.5, 2.0 or 3.0, although as everybody else i am looking forward to have a single install ony my pc again. i just hope that with normandy and the spit we will finally have a usable amount of online players and can also maintain the numbers. up until now with every release of a warbird, we faced a good amount of people online for a period of about 1 to 2 months. but numbers were dropping every time, and now it feels as if there are less players than back then when there was only the p51. i hope a proper map will finally help that issue.
  11. not trying to be impatient here, but can we get this bug confirmed, so we ffb users can be assured its beeing looked at?
  12. im really happy that finally the 109 got this type of controls. i only flew her for 10minutes two days ago and it feels much more like real life flying now imo. now im only waiting for working slats and ffb to be fixed again
  13. no the 109 is definitely not GODLIKE. its the same as it was with the P51 back then before they toned it down completely. the AI 190 was very weak ever since. and for people who think that the 109 is so uber because the 109AI kills a P51 AI everytime...thats only because of the way he AI handles situations. its simplified, or better lack of intelligence. AI turns as hard as it can, as close to buffeting as possible, without stalling. if that doesnt work, it will try to climb away. thats it. thats the reason why a P51 of the same skill level will kill a Fw190 every time, and thats why a 109 of the same skill level will kill a p51 AI every single time... the 109 AI at excellent skill level is the only AI which is "fun" to fly against currently. its not really fun, but its at least a little challenging... im not even in shape as i avoided dcs for about a year. and only just began to fly the 109 now and then. but a human 109 is definitely deadlier than the AI 109 set at excellent skill level.
  14. before leaving beta, i personally would like to see: -the possibilty to have adjustable trim-tab for elevators as well... (there is just no plausible reason to have aileron and rudder trim tabs in the special tab section, but denying us the one for the elevators,except if the devs want to artificially balance the gameplay) -stickforces,...yes i am ok with the idea in general, however, it is overdone. and please dont ask me for charts on this one, as this would be ridiculous. nobody in his right mind can convince me, that for any healthy mature human being it wouldnt be possible to give full rudder/aileron/elevator deflection at speeds of only 200kph indicated. THE SAME IS TRUE FOR THE P-51 BTW. no way. -blacking out...finally nice to have...but how is my pilot able to pull down the flaps while he is completely blacked out?dont believe? start to pull down te flaps in a high g turn until you black out...at the time you wake up again, your flaps will be completely down, and probably with a left radiator failure.

  16. we know, and with the next modpack, expect it hopefully next week, this will be fixed.we finally found a neat way to adjust it, without adjusting the aircraft lua files themselves, and also flak and other smoke effects will remain visible. with the old way, we had flak bursts visible, but we had to adjust the aircraft lua files themselves...this meant, that we couldnt integrity check them...so they were open and a possibilty to exploit and adjust FM or guns and so on....so we decided to adjust another file instead, to make our integrity check able to check those mentioned files as well, to guarantee a fair gameplay...this is what you now have with the current modpack...as i already said, hopefully next week, i will release a new modpack, which doesnt suffer from invisble smoke&flak effects, but still gives us the possibilty to have untouched aircraft files.
  17. mh no...we run the server, to mainly enjoy PvP combat. there is AI in most of our missions to balance the numbers for both sides, but our goal is to populate the server enough, that the AI fighters become redundant.

  19. no, there is definitely a difference also in flying skills....try to fight a AI 109 on excellent skill level...thats quite fun.
  20. i find just like with the two other warbirds, sometimes it takes ages, and sometimes a short burst is enough.

  22. unfortunately there is no way to force the label settings of the server...but you can adjust your labels.lua file to your liking...you can adjust for example the max distance where labels will start to appear, as well as the min distance for them.so everything below wouldnt have any labels at all anymore. i think you can also adjust it, so that only enemies, or only friendly units wear labels. and yes, you can get rid of the distance and nicknames....basically you can adjust the file, that the label represents only a black dot.
  23. yes ARMY USSR is banned. we, FightingLegends, do not pay good money for a good server, providing it for the community, to enjoy our all hobby, to then get insulted in anyway. while we run it as a puplic server, its still owned by a few people, investing not only lots of money on a monthly basis, but hours and weeks to provide missions, modpacks, skins, trying to establish a good community. we have very few rules, but we demand, that people who want to enjoy our server, do not, in any way insult other people...depending on how rude the insult is, people either get a warning, get kicked, or banned...in order to provide a friendly atmosphere, we will not even tolerate insults like "noob" or whatever...anybody who cant accept that, better dont even join our server, cause our goal is to have fun and enjoy the time.
  24. what is your online name?if you tell me, i can immediately tell you whether you are banned or not...there are only 2guys banned from our server currently... more likely, you try to connect with an old modpack.that is not working anymore on our server. you either have to fly without modpack, or use the most recent one.
