  2. ok...tested it in Nevada...unfortunately there seems to be something seriously wrong with rudder or how the wind affects the aircraft. even with very low wind levels you can hardly do crosswind landings with real world techniques it seems. actually you have to do the complete opposite of what you would do in real life and push the rudder into the wind to get crosswind landings done it seems. tested it with the 109 and the P-51 now a couple of times... rudder authority seems weird as well...hardly any yaw noticeable, almost only secondary roll effect. so i think, you can stop practicing them in nevada, and hope they will adjust whats needed to get more realstic behaviour.
  3. hello. since the open-beta 1.55 and now also in the release version i have a problem with missing sounds. especially gun sounds of my own aircraft, but i also recognized missing gun and engine sounds of other aircraft in F2 view. i never had such problems before, and didnt change anything with my hardware. only thing that changed was dcs version. i seem to get this problem more often in offline missions with much action going on, as well as in multiplayer. if i fly offline a freeflight mission with nothing else going on, the sounds seem to be fairly stable... i already tried a repair, also deleted the sounds folder and made a repair afterwards, but to no avail.
  4. lowering or even disabling anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering will help you spot targets, especially against ground. the downside is, that your game won't look as nice anymore.

  6. thats a good point...we have a open beta version to look out for bugs. and a release version which in theory should be stable without any major issues at least...the thing is, sometimes it seems that after an oben beta release, bugs are fixed(or not!), new features added, and then directly released to official version. which can be the cause for serious problems. i tried the open beta, and never experienced the mouse courser problem there for example. one more thing which definitely didnt turn out ideal: the lack of force feedback in the 109 was introduced in a open beta version...it was reported. then the patch became official version, and we were forced to fly without ffb in the 109 for 4months. i think the only way to minimize such problems is to really fix bugs in open beta until it appears to be a stable version, and then release exactly this version without changing a single thing as official patch. having said that, the current release version has many good improvements too.
  7. yes i bought a gtx 1060 10days ago...asus gtx1060 strix. im really pleased with the performance both in 1.5 and 2.0...maxed out both completely and get in 1.5 between 90-200 and above frames...i only tried with vsinc in nevada...but again, maxed out completely over las vegas and a rock steady 60fps.not a split second below 60frames. didnt try without vsinc though. but a tree top level las vegas ride with such a smooth performance is definitely nice. im glad i didnt go for an 1070 or even 1080. EDIT: oh, today i downloaded nvidia's new driver...i think 375.86? anyway, after the driver update i had in 1.5 all of a sudden sometimes even only 30frames and stutters...tried another install in case anything went wrong...still same crappy performance...so i reverted back to 375.70 and everything was fine again. just for your information.

  9. the soundradar is definitely a huge problem ever since...i really hope they will fix it one day. beeing able to chose a skin and number would be nice as well...but i doubt we will get that. about the tracers...iirc Erich Brunotte also said in his interview, that the tracers were white...but i also think Yo-Yo said, that thats probably wrong memory and that they have sources for them to be green?correct me if im wrong Yo-Yo. i just know that this "issue" was brought up some time ago already..
  10. ok...tried it now with 3times priming and works as well...still never had problems with 20times...whats strange though....0times works as well..
  11. never happened to me before 1.55 beta and now release...yes, the cannon is more affected by it, and i was wondering the same, whether its shooting at all or not...but then i saw the same with my machine guns,...and thankfully we have tracers there so i knew the guns were working, just not the sounds.
  12. yeah...most of the time i hear it as well...but sometimes the sound is missing, or delayed for a few seconds. had this in the beta already and now in release version as well.
  13. i have no problems with priming 20 times at all....strangely...since the patch, i had this problem only once, and on second try the engine started immediately...priming only 3times sounds very little...i appear to get trouble when i prime less then 10times online...and you notice that the more you prime, the more easily the spinner catches...
  14. at that point, i am just happy that we actually do get a ww2 map, even if England is missing. also if we look at Nevada, which got and is still getting several updates, one major one just around the corner, i am sure that Normandy will see improvements as well with time...

  16. go buy yourself copy if you want to appear credible. i see people stalling the 109 every day.so research done. and 1 more time,... due to how the stickforces are implemented, its very hard for the virtual pilot to oversteer the plane even at low speeds...thats probably more the problem than the fm itself.
  17. i would love to have people make bug reports who actually own the module and know it...of course the 109 stalls and drops wings if angle of attack is too hig or speed is too slow. one thing to keep in mind is, that the stick forces of the 109 are implemented in a way, that the pilot has a hard time to fully deflect the stick or rudder even at speeds of ~200kph.
  18. yes...imposters dont seem to do anything anymore. so far, its in my view definitely the best result we have ever seen in dcs....still,...there is much room for improvement...i think a little more contrast is needed if the contacts get closer..against ground or sky when they are above you they still tend to disappear.
  19. with the beta-version, and now the release version of 1.55, i have the problem of missing gun sounds. sometimes i can hear it, sometimes not. dont know anybody else experience that issue?

  21. its been a while that i tested them in dcs...and i havent tested it in nevada...but they should still work pretty good...ailerons into the wind, rudder to keep alligned with the runway. once on ground, keep your controls where they are, dont let them go. and use your brakes to stay on the runway. back then i tested how far i can push my limits...i stopped at 30m/s crosswinds from 90° to the runway. EDIT: ah i noticed i even made two pointers in the dora in crosswind-conditions:
  22. ^^i left clod once team fusion took control and started flying dcs. :) there might be a F version in clod soon,...but i couldnt care less...i want one in dcs :)
  23. hey Krog...wie du weißt, fliegen wir vorwiegend zwar die 109er, aber vorallem in letzter Zeit auch öfters wieder die P-51, da wie du schon sagst, leider chronischer mangel an alliierten herscht. Ich hoffe mal das ändert sich mit der Spit. auf jeden Fall bist du bei uns herzlich auf ts willkommen. kannst ja ne pm rüberwachsen lassen bei interesse.
