  1. hard to judge...there is definitely drag modeled...and flaps will decrease your airspeed...its just, that the one without flaps seems not to be able to make use of his energy/speed advantage... :)lol, my P-51 skills seriously suffered as my brain is used to give 109 inputs...so my name shouldn't be in your post...
  2. its probably optimistic to expect such outcomes eveytime you hit with 30mm...yet in dcs i never achieve such results with a single hit.not even close, regardless of angle and whether im 100m or 10m away.
  3. ^^i heard this yesterday online in F2 view of another 109...so yes, i can confirm that.
  4. really? what 109 are you flying? if you can deflect any control surfaces to max deflection at an indicated airspeed of 300kph, then i would be impressed...i dont manage.
  5. ^^i think, that this is also due to the stick forces which are probably too pronounced right now? our pilot is not able to pull full deflection on the controls on any of the flight surfaces at speeds of well below 300kph. but yes, i agree, rudder and its effects are also in my opinion for the lack of a better word questionable. for example, you can hardly get the 109 into a proper sideslip, and i can hardly de-crab the aircraft at crosswinds even with full rudder...it will just roll into that direction, but hardly yaw.
  6. hope my ears hear something remotely close to that one day in dcs! nice vid:thumbup:
  7. no, i like it as the people dont stay over their airfield all the time in flak distance, but actually dare to go out for a hunt. and as i said, you guys are really friendly which is always appreciated!
  8. when refueling in the 109, MW50 will stay empty. this means that rearming, refueling and repairing is totally worthless in MP. tested in current 1.5.5.59992 patch.
  9. unfortunately, missing sound bug still exists in current 1.5.5.59992 patch.
  10. unfortunately, black out bug with flaps and prop pitch still exists in current 1.5.5.59992 patch.
  11. good to know...so i will not bother with installing the drivers then.
  12. ^^i assume, that they will not release the spit in 1.5.x release version though, but in 1.5.x open beta install. at least it was that way with the 190 and 109...
  13. i quite like that server as well...fast fun missions, and the people over there are friendly and never shy of a dogfight. really enjoy it when im flying there!
  14. hope im wrong, but im convinced we will not see it this year...my personal guess is more like march or april next year.
  15. ^^in dcs its almost mandatory though. it seems that in dcs the gained lift from flaps, always outdoes the resulting drag. (well, there is a threshold were if you use too much flaps thats not true anymore. but thats excessive flaps amount) in duels of p-51vsp-51 or 109vs109 we noticed, that the one not using flaps, will initially safe a little more energy at the cost of angles. from then on, the aircraft with flaps down will just stay as fast relatively to the one not using flaps and always keeps its angles. the one without flaps can only hold its energy advantage when never trying to gain angles but only outperforming the other with trying to gain altitude. but it hardly does. the relative energy between the two remains the same, until the one without flaps tries to go offensive, then the one with flaps will quickly gain and eventually probably get the kill....^^of course all of the above is only true as soon as you start to manouver and not fly straight.
  16. meanwhile i collected three different msffb2 sticks...and i get the same results on every one of them... ffb seems buggy unfortunately...buggy because its inconsistent. sometimes you feel the forces really good, and sometimes there aren't any except stick shake and constant force through the whole flight. it also seems, that offline, ffb works better than online. interestingly, if you change the ffb settings in dcs, even if its only to decrease for example trimforce from 100 to 99, and revert it back to 100 and then click safe, and go for a flight, it seems that ffb is working correctly for the next few flights...after a few restarts of dcs, ffb becomes less responding. dont know what that is, and why that happens, but i tested this with all three joysticks and get the same results, and all of my friends seem to say the same. the thing which bugs me most, is that online the ffb seems to work much worse than offline.
  19. was there ever a K4 with 20mm? K4 does look good, but F4 and F2 look best imo....wish we would get one one day.
  20. the G6 is the ugliest of all 109 versions in my view...but taste differs :)
  21. is there any sense in having the mk108 pointing downwards?anybody knows?
  22. 1920x1080
  23. yeah if you reduce AF better dont look at runway markings or the like...it doesnt look pretty. but helps spotting definitely.
  24. if the gunfighter only had ffb, it would be stick of all sticks of all times. i loved the two spring concept of my ch fighterstick, so im sure this concept coupled with the cam profile will feel awesome. remains to be seen whether it can beat the old msffb2.
