  1. any progress on the backers page? i know to get keys is already working, but for example the "one activation key for any dcs product" reward is still missing.as hopefully soon new maps will arrive, i would probably like to spend this key on one of these maps....
  2. any possible word either from the devs or the testers, whether the gun in the 109 can be toggled off? also would it be possible to get hands on the manual before release?iirc we got the 190 manual a fair bit before it was actually released....would be nice to have a read already.
  3. ^^ :) well, i dont consider myself the right person to do tutorials on engagement techniques. and definitely not for the dora as i fly it only as a placeholder so to speak.tbh i dont consider myself the right person to do any tutorials at all.but especially dogfighting is such a complex subject, and there is not only one right way to do it. so no, i think ill stick with such useless videos as they are fun, and not as useless as they might seem.learning to do proper 2pointers for example helped me quite a couple of times to come home back safe with half a wing missing.

  8. what i find interesting is, that in viks video of the 190 you can see his cowl flaps beeing open...in my dcs the cowl flaps are not animated and ive never seen them open yet tbh. btw, funny videos he put up there.
  9. nice find!i tested this today with a mate, and we both immediately noticed a big difference in spotting contacts, and quite some other little details which normally get lost. interestingly though, i didnt even adjust the resolution ingame but left it at my default 1920x1080, and still noticed a big difference!
  10. i noticed this too! thats really a shame as it would be real fun to navigate with NDBs. hope this gets fixed soon.

  12. ^^try to touch down as slow and smooth as possible.avoid any sideslip as this will get quickly out of control.keep the stick pulled back until you are close to or at full stop.make small rudder corrections and careful braking to stay straight while rolling out.staying straight is key to land in the fields.

  14. thats not true.at least it doesnt have to be the exact same version.though it probably has to belong to the same group of patches like 1.2.10. you will be able to see and also join the server even with a different number behind the 10, but i doubt you could do so with any 1.2.9 version. what i had the last couple of days is, that the game told me that i entered an invalid password.though its safed so im perfectly sure it was the correct one.re-entering it solved it.but the next time when i wanted to log in the same happened again...
  15. the effect is already modeled.you can have a look at it with opening the control-input window with right Ctrl+Enter.fly fast enough, and then give inputs, and you will notice, that you will not reach full deflection of axis.
  16. with a bit of practice, two pointers are not much of a problem in the dora.
  17. as much as im looking forward to the K4 release, im definitely not looking forward to similar complaints like this which will certainly arise with its release. first i think you have to keep in mind, that its still labeled as beta...so there might come some changes in the near future. also, if you have problems landing her, then i can only suggest what others have done already,...practice practice practice.i dont think the dora is hard to land at all.never had a problem with her, not even on first take off and landing.but i have 2years experience with the p51 already. and especially after the latest adjustments, the dora is now way more stable than on its release. what i would hate to see is the devs adjusting the flight models only to make it easier for players.i definitely want them to adjust flight models only to what they think is realistic, and not easy or convinient for players.at least for the realistic flight models. for people who like it easy, there is the option for the simple flight model with every module, if you really cant enjoy it with the realistic one.what i dont believe though, as i think with a little practice, everyone is able to land her smoothly. also, i doubt that the dcs dora is harder to land than a real dora...Yo-Yo mentioned, that in RL you never land a dora with two pointers.in dcs, thats no problem after little practice.
  18. wo siehst du 23.36fps? in den screenshots sieht es so aus als ob er 64 und 96fps hat.... ah ok,...du meinst die aktuelle version...interessant dabei finde ich, das die "aktuelle" version komplett anders als meine version aussieht.
  19. ^^for me personally, also a vietnam map would do.this could then be used also for the huey drivers.i know many probably wont like the idea, but for me that would be accurate enough to immerse myself.
  20. how is "i know how do to something" and "i am an expert in" in any way the same? and no, your post doesnt answer the question at all. you are just ignoring it.but thats fine. you probably have also ignored that i mentioned in my first post in this thread, that i have tried this only at the very first days after the release of the plane.since then its been in the hangar. back then it was hardly possible to stay on the runway at 10m/s from 90°, and at 15m/s it was only possible to stay on the runway with very risky counter nosewheel steering. and as they didnt mention anything in this regard in the recent patch changelogs, i assumed that this is still the case. now i have tried crosswind landings again, and they obviously have already changed something fundamental. now its no problem anymore to stay on the runway with crosswinds of at least 25m/s from 90°.havent tried more yet, but 25m/s from 90° is no problem. so i was wrong when assuming that the issue to stay on the runway still persists. still, if/when they further adjust rudder behaviour, it will obviously change the behaviour of the plane in every flight phase i.e. crosswind landings.
  21. :doh: show me where i claiming to be an expert.so thx for the name calling! this rudder issue seems to be known by the devs according to this thread.so as this issue obviously does exist,now you tell me how should this not affect crosswind landings?
  22. and some love what ED produces that much, that they not only want to enjoy the perfect end result, but also would like to be part of the "solution"
