Is there any way to find out why one received "penalty points" (which can lead to auto-kick) ?

That one made my day, thank you, Sir.
-
why named "trainable" ? Is it being "trained" to perform in a specific way?
-
Awesome! Have you ever flown in any aircraft/helicopter that we can fly in DCS in reality, out of curiosity? (or piloted any aircraft in general/are a former pilot?)
-
Ah, true. They probably renamed for marketing reasons only... Hope they will add more airfields this year, one in Quatar and one at Kuwait city hopefully, like the attached image (why is Bahrain missing completely? o_O )
-
what is that? and why don't you own Persian Gulf and Harrier modules?
-
Please add chaff to ships so they can (realistically) defeat anti-ship missiles for example. (making this thread after a user pointed out that it's still missing)
-
what, a 1989 game? Would that explain your nickname "PoorOldSpike"? yes, DCS urgently needs ship-chaff. Will make wishlist-thread.

What, no, post it is from the 90s... Batch files is what we're at since the 2000s but I just realized that my logic is flawed and that I only fly spitfire/Mi-8 quite rarely... So the best solution could probably be replacing the DCS multiplayer-server loading-screen by a picture that has a sentence like "Hey.. did you just join Storm Of War - Normandy server, or do you plan to fly Mi-8 now? Unplug or disable that s**t now before you select the slot, dude!" in the center bottom or so. Anyone know if we can change the background image of the DCS multiplayer-loading-screen? The risk is that everytime OpenBeta patch releases, it could overwrite my custom image...

Is it possible to write a batch script file that opens a .txt file that says "D4n, unplug your USB gamepad (or disable it in device-manager) now! " while the script launches DCS_updater, or a batch file that opens a .txt. as soon as I start DCS_updater? that would be the "cheapest" solution in this case, I think Solution: https://streamable.com/u2009k or my just invented above mentioned solution will stop me from doing "thing" (or rather from forgetting to unplug thing)
-
sorry, should've written "most likely", not "will".

Because I don't play Rocket League everytime just before playing DCS maybe? And I'm definitely not going to check if it's plugged out everytime I launch DCS... Who do you think I am, and we're living in 2021, not 1995 (I launch DCS sometimes at least 6x or so within 15 hours, would be my wild guess...)

okay okay o_o no it wouldn't, just add the most basic "A) is missile still faster than target" and "B) is missile still on collision course" algorithm to all DCS radar-SAMs and bam, done. Most likely SA-2 also has such algorithm, after all, SA-2 has ESP-90 power generator trailer (consisting of 3 x 5E93), so already by the amount of electricity it requires, it will have enough computational power for such easy algorithm.

omg Dagger... I would fly with a gamepad plugged in because I very regularly also play another game that I NEED a gamepad for!!!!! (Rocket League, a game that also helps at understanding thrust-vectoring in relation to gravity, for example ) will tell you in a few days when I am home again, but it may be "USB gamepad"-something and ID {745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da} How would you know whether ED can do anything about it or not??? @AndyJWest

yes it is a bug, was introduced ~ 1-2 years ago, I even made bug-report ~1 year ago about it (check my forum profile for the thread, I recently replied in it.) Awesome!!!! What did he reply?

never claimed that all SAMs can. but many, or most, can, I'd guess. And, for the 2nd time now, please only use my forum name when you adress me in the forum, otherwise next time I'll see myself forced to notify ED staff that you don't "respect" me in this forum. (rule 1.2, Forum members must treat each other with respect and tolerance.) Aaaah okay, a general DCS issue then, alright, but I'm 99,5% sure that H_max for DCS Tor was reduced then, ~1-2 years ago. And that made Tor a way lower threat. Instead, ED should just implement a check whether A) missile is still faster than target and B) if still on collision course, and if both are true, not self-destruct missile, even if H-max is passed.
