I would try to reintall C++ http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=14632 When that's not working, then consider reinstalling direct x or check the periphery manager if there is an exclamation mark somewhere.

Triple Screen + Touch - how would you set it up?
Manuel replied to Treudd's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It would be kind of you to post some fotos of the finished setup for all to look how it went. -
I see, do you have a link to a shop or a price table? I am definitely interested for future projects. Well, I am honest, I have not a clue about the workload and stuff. I study engineering and have a little knowledge and some sort of idea how those things all work together but I do not have the experience of building a sim.

Well if it comes to that, I have an x52 pro to sell ;) Contact PM, it will be a good buy

Welcome to the forum. I would suggest to map the buttons directly to the functions in the A10C Menu Controls. You can easily overview your settings by just pressing the buttons in the controls menu. The menu will jump to the position, when it is used. As I can not speak for Logitech but on my Saitek you had a button to press on your saitek software to take the profile into account. We will see if there are more logitech guys here; if, the will respond. If not, map it directly as suggested. You can look for lua profiles on lockonfiles.com. I wish you all the best!

bootcamp - Mac Pro - Windows 8 - DCS World
Manuel replied to intographics's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well thats interesting to see how a mac will perform on that. Graphic Card has to be exchanged. To less memory. Would recommend a HD7970 if you want to keep it down (costs) but you have a mac pro so why dont get a gtx690 ;) Would be a killer! -
Well the feel and look of the TM Hotas is just amazing. It is just awesome to apply the force on that stick as it moves quite heavier than the other joysticks because it is not trimmed by spring elements but uses the hall effect (some magnetic behavior). This said it is just so cool to feel the cold steel when you first touch it. It really makes a difference and this being said from a former X52 Pro user which isnt the worst stick after all. So in my opinion: If you can spend the money, do it but do it after purchasing trackIR.

+1 !

First of all, we need to clarify, what you are talking about. DCS A10 is as well on sale as DCS Black Shark. DCS A10 is a complex combat simulator, which can not be compared to IL2. It is much more detailed and can be much more frustrating, if you straight jump into it, as you could do in IL2. I would recommend to have a look at the manual first, which is available in the DCS homepage. To answer your questions based on A10: 1) You do need a joystick, it is absolutely necessary. The full experience is hard to measure. I got a good experience with my old X52 pro but it was a whole new world with a TM Warthog. A10 is a simulator for enthusiasts in my opinion and you must have a lot of motivation to learn all the details. 2) You can check the tutorials on youtube. I think they are uploaded. Just search "DCS A10C Trainings" My Youtube is currently not working :( 3) I did not find a bug in it till now. It is worth the 10$ you pay at the moment! For a less complex flight simulator where you can get a feeling for DCS is the Flaming Cliffs 3 Beta or even LOMAC or FC2. I would suggest you watch some videos on youtube. It really helps a lot to get a feeling for the simulator. Check out Ralfidude on youtube. He does fantastic movies which are fun to watch both A10 and FC3. For further questions, don't hesitate to ask ;)

new 27 pit mean also 33 pit?
Manuel replied to jason_peters's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Haha, yes that's for sure! That is because they are at a special position at a marketing aspect. We as customers do have little alternatives, which can be compared to a full combat simulator as DCS Series. Therefore ED could make much more money if they put more man power to develop those simulators. Does ED consider payed DLCs? I would suggest it as it would make room for additional manpower out of the money the earn because of them. -
How did you do the front pannel with all the holes for the various instruments? Is it just a plate where you drill the wholes our do you cut them out? It seems very precise. And you plan to do that with an aluminum plate? Other question...do you sell those simulators also or is it just for renting as advertised on the youfly homepage? Background info: I am a student at the time and neither have the means nor the room for such a simulator but I think it will be a project of myself later and I will start small with single modules which connect to the sim before building a whole cockpit as you do there.

I guess so, cause you get a key and that is also vald for dcsw. But I am not 100% sure of that. Just want to hold that thread in the new posts area, cause I think it saves a lot of money ;) Cheers edit: did a quick search: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91278

I dont see the performance difference at first glance. Anybody else? It is kind of weird because the hotas is a extraordinary product and I don't see the need for preciser sensor.

Thrustmastrer Warthog Newbie Profile Questions
Manuel replied to mac22's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
As I am also new to the stick but I managed it without TARGET Software. A10 It was an easy task because it was directly mapped one to one and there was no problem. Even your track IR would not be an issue with the standard setting. On the Stick the top right coolie is used for trimming. But in the default setting there it is used only with strg + command. So it is free for viewing options. P51D I did not really configure it properly but I would say same as FC3 (see below) FC3 There are very few commands which you have to implement in your settings and I would say, that you do that also manually. I would refer to the A10C Profile but not load it into FC3. For any further questions I am sure there will be lots of people here to help you with it. -
ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Manuel replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Thank you Cedaway -
Yes that is a smart way to do it. Where did you get all those experience to built a simulator on your own? I mean that is far beyond the ol man in the house sort of electronics but rather difficult, more professional if you know what I mean...

Any way you can hide those cougar panel cables maybe below the surface ?

DCS World Benchmark Tracks??
Manuel replied to walker450's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
+1 for a training mission were the hardware setup can be judged. It is somehow impossible to compare fps when not having the same track. That would be a help to see if one have to upgrade. -
+1 for the iran, iraq thing
