Why are you guys not stalling all the time. Did you disable some of the realistic features? If I would fly like you do, I got lots of accelerated stall and so on.
-
Solved it!

Hm I don't really get it now. I set up a laptop which is not connected to the monitors, then run helios on it and run helios also on my main machine with an ip pointing towards the laptop?
-
So I have to set up a second computer just to run helios. Hm, when there is no other possibility, I will give it a try now and report back as soon as I can.
-
Hey Team, I just installed helios and put on a few elements on my second screen. It works, it's great but it causes me a 10fps drop and thats not acceptable. There are just a few items there : Altimeter, VVI, Speed, AHI, G meter and fuel tank, both mfcds. It looks like this: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/338/42774910200287994348675.jpg/ It is not clear to me, why this is causing so much performance. It is definitely HELIOS because if I turn it off, my fps is about 45 to 50, with Helios enabled 25-27. I have two monitors setup side by side (on the pc but they are bottom top physically). Resolution on the main screen is 1920x1080, secondary is 1280x720. I used A10C iControl Server to set it up in a .lus profile. This is what it looks like:

May you share your system specs sobek?

iControl DCS (Another iPad pit)
Manuel replied to boarder2's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Change the screen preset in the options menu from A-10C Server to 1Screen or whatever your default setting was. You can also look at C:\[install directory]\DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup there, an original .lua is always saved. -
+1 for the HD7970. It has more than plenty (6) outputs for future projects. Maybe TM Cougars? But if you re not in a hurry, wait for the next gen of graphic cards for the price of the 7970 to drop and maybe consider the 8XXX. But I dont know exactly, when that will happen.
-
+1 For multicore. It is the only way for the future. Why hasn't that been considered longe time ago. It is not so as if we had multi core cpus just since yesterday. They are standard today. So where is the problem to put it in multicore threading? Yes, lots of work, blabla. Well what's more important: Building a future proof ground for future updates, effects or overload an old way of rendering/processing with good looking effects when the highest High end graphic card and a N2 cooled processor with 6Ghz can't handle...it is simply not enough to just use a second core for game sound...! Its an easy decision for me and so it should be an easy one for ED. Sorry for being so pissed of about it but that is really annoying.

Buying trackir tonight + questions

Haha, you'll love it! -
Sorry for asking but why the hell would you install Windows 8 and then a 32bit Version? ED recommends the usage of a 64bit OS and there are lot's of threads regarding the problems, which a 32bit OS may cause. So for that matter, consider these. If it is not caused by the 32bit OS, then... well let's sort out the OS thing first. EDIT: As your crashes indicate an "access Violation" try run DCS with administrator (right click ... run as admin)

Don't be that creepy, it will get you sickness mentally and physically. The game is well worth even 40$. Be contempt with your purchase and enjoy yourself for reducing the risk of getting a heart attack :P And happy new year by the way :D

Happy new year! May you all be blessed with successful flight hours and glorious victories! :)

And don't give up, when the server is not showing up immediately after launching. A friend of mine and I have the problem, that I see his server randomly when pushing the get new list button. That can endure up to 5min and many times pressing that button but that works even better than connecting via IP, which says: unable to connect in about 80% of the cases.

Just to inform you, there is an ipad App called IControl, which does those things to. Its pretty awesome. Youtube Link: -
Well just have a look here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=95562&highlight=0xc000007b I think they've solved the issue.

maybe try that one: http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/registry-cleaner/download/ It has a good chip rating.
-
May you consider another registry cleaner, as I don't trust that cleaner advertised on my source link. I get linked to somehow maccleaner, because I am on my macbook. I hope it works for you. Check for viruses first! If that does not work, you could try to repair write permissions on your hard disk, maybe that will change anything. About time for someone more skilled than me to join the discussion... anyone?

Dumb question: Did you press LCtrl + e 3 times in a row ? This is for ejecting.

Found that: "0xc000007b is usually caused by a corrupt registry entry. The best thing you can do, to prevent your PC from getting more error messages or further registry corruption, is to fix this problem immediately, by following the easy instructions below. The potential risk, resulting from not repairing this error, could include system crashes, blue screens, and hardware failure. Download the 0xc000007b Repair Tool "This is a free download - You'll see a new window pop-up for confirmation." Click "Save File" and follow the simple installation instructions. Scan your computer with the Regcure application. Click the "Fix Errors" button to repair 0xc000007b. " Source: http://www.fixya.com/support/t8348592-0xc000007b

Well, File is here: http://www.chip.de/downloads/DirectX_13002926.html Download and install. honestly if its not c++ or direct x I dont have a clue. As you can see on that thread: http://www.forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=85139 There has been a hard core mod on c++ where you had to donwload and install every single package in order. But I would consider a complete reinstall of the dcs software as I don't know the specific source of the problem. Did you check you device manager? Edit: As I just saw: Reinstallation did not solve the problem there either. 4 times of windows reinstallation where required...Seriously? We need to find the source for that problem, but I am the wrong man for that, as I am not into programming.
