  1. Good luck John
  2. Yep they are very friendly people :D
  3. I think an auto-update is being looked at.
  4. That's what I'm saying, I don't think you have to buy the add-on. As long as it's installed on the server and client it should work. It's still very early days but of course no one wants MP to "break" so we'll figure it out.
  5. The A-10 theme file is still there if you want to add it to your iTunes playlist ;)
  6. That's definitely a man that's parked it in that gap!! Ducks from the flying saucepan my girlfriend threw at me...
  7. Well there may be licensing issues with dev teams giving their add-on to TFC to integrate into World. Early days yet and we'll all come up with a solution that works :)
  8. In theory that wouldn't break MP, as long as the server has it installed the ME will see it in the map and host it. The "player" would need to have it installed to see the external model (and not get kicked from the server). To fly it, you need to buy it. If you dont have the module installed you'll get an error trying to join the server. I'm still running tests but I think this will work.
  9. Who own Eagle Dynamics
  10. Yes you need to have the add-on installed to be able to create missions with it. I haven't tried just having it installed but not activated (unpaid for) and see if it is listed in the ME. I would assume it would still let you create a mission for it, you just can't fly it. Basically the add-on module "adds" the aircraft into the core DCS World functions, so in theory it should be listed in the ME, with all weapons that are programmed into the add-on. You could probably even have an AI fly it. It's all trial and error for the dev teams to work out.
  11. I would assume you have to have a publishing licence from TFC to sell the mod for use in DCS.
  12. Yeah, very cool feature. Set the path in the F10 map and then stick on autopilot and scan around en-route.
  13. No worries Haddock. A lot of people (not saying you are one of them) say ED never reply blah blah blah....blah.......blah
  14. The ED devs reply to our questions and help out, yes. At the moment no documentation. Also the 3rd party dev teams have an area to discuss things, share ideas and code etc. and ED post in there very often. Just having a modeler and skinner will not do, the whole integration into the sim is LUA code based. Quite the opposite in fact :p
  15. Yeah was good fun LD, and even the weather held out for the show on both days :) Kato turned up apparantly but I missed him.
  16. And then login to the website and lick on Payments. This shows you your licence keys
  17. Looks great guys
  18. 1. The best person is Wags, by PM 2. He will go through these with you depending on your proposal 3. Again Wags will clarify depending on your proposal 4. Simple mod won't get you access to any technical help apart from on pubic forums. And you can't sell it. 5. Yes, and that depends on what you can show to ED/TFC as part of your proposal 6. As Wags has said, there is nothing stopping one developer producing the same plane as another. Basically, you need to prove to ED that you have something to offer. Just PM'ing Wags saying, hey Matt, I have a great idea for a add-on but have no idea how to do it, or don't have a team to do it etc is likely to get a polite refusal. To give you a simplistic idea of what you need to develop a 3rd Party Add-on: 3d modeler LUA coder(s) Skinning artist Manual writer Someone who understands schematics of fule, electrical and hydraulic systems and then be able to code that. Hope that helps.
  19. Don't eat all of them, you'll be throwing up in the pit haha
  20. Love the facelift Grab
  21. Yeah I know he was, I was just teasing ;)
  22. There was a sound test mission a while back where you sat on the ramp an just listened to the activity around you with jets starting up, taxing off and landing as well as choppers, ground vehicles etc. it was amazing to listen to.
  23. Really? Hmm I could have sworn I saw some ??? planes at Duxford last weekend on my PC screen. I must be mistaken of course. </tease>
